More often than not, when I receive a breaking news alert, I click on the notification, the app opens, and an ad pops up, but the article doesn't open. It's just shows the '12 On Your Side' logo and nothing happens. This has happened for the last few years. Sometimes it works fine, other times, nothing.

The app still isn't working correctly. When reading a news article the page goes white-blank. I exit the app and go back and start over. Same thing. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app didn't fix the issue. I have cleared the cache everything still isn't corrected. Today the app opens but the news articles won't open, I cleared the cache, forced stop, had to uninstall the app and install the app again, new app has become frustrating

With this new update, when trying to read a story from a notification, it opens up blank and stays frozen. I have to close out the app and re-open to read a story. While this is my preferred news app, I can access others more quickly see the same stories.

New layout and update is horrible. I hate that I can't even get into the app until I hit the x on the ad. Once in the app half the time when I click on an article and start reading, the article goes white and everything disappears. Not happy with the changes. Go back to how it was!

I had the app for a while. A lot of updates about all the deaths in my area, which is cool, cause I love hearing about deaths all the time /s ... But finally uninstalled after I clicked on one and it took me straight into a full screen ad that had no clear exit.... I'd say harsher words about how I feel, but then I'd get censored.

The app is great until it comes to watching live news then you have to watch in a little tiny window that tje ads and disclaimer take up most of the viewing space...if there were a full screen option where you could actually see the whole picture would be a great addition however for the year that i have had this app no such luck...should that ever get fixed id rate the app a 5 star but until then its ok

This latest version of this app is not working on my phone. I can open an article and then the screen goes blank. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted the phone to no avail. Doesn't really matter anyhow, because the app is not very appealing or user friendly. The layout is bad. App was much better a year ago. Ditching for Channel 6.

I've used this app for years. But an update a couple months ago has made it unusable. After a few minutes of use I'll click a link and am presented with a blank screen. Closing and reopening does not fix. Happens every day. The UI has gotten worse not better. And the level of ads has gone up geometricly. Including an irritating full screen ad on each launch. I do like their weather app but the news app is useless. I'm at the playstore to install the CBS6 app to see if it's better.

I don't usually leave "bad" reviews but because I use this app daily I can't let this one go. The last update is horrible! I see more ads than news and everything seems so jumbled together it's hard to tell what's what. Why change what was already fine?? I'm giving this a (small) grace period but if it doesn't get better.... deleting this app and installing another news app. Sorry not sorry.

Whoever is in charge of the ads on the app needs to check into them. They are click bait and filled with false information. I get that you need ads to pay the bills, but it looks bad for a news network to have false information attached to their app.

Whenever a breaking news alert comes in, you can't view it because of the GD ad that blocks screen then kicks you back to main screen. Ads in general are intrusive and make me want to throw my phone across the room. 6 years later, still a POS! Uninstall!

I received alerts but the app closes once I try to access it. If I'm lucky to see a article it blanks out in the middle of reading. I've had this app for a long time. Please fix. It keeps me in the loop for all my family across Virginia

Here's a review before I delete the useless app from taking up space on my phone. Not one positive review in 2021 yet and developer can't fix it!!!!! Why do we write reviews here if you're not reading how incredibly frustrating your app is and sending out a fix. I used this app daily before this mess occurred. Bye, bye channel 12.

the worst news app. doesn't open when you click a notification. sharing an article is difficult.

News stories take forever to load. By the time the story loads (anywhere between 30 seconds to a minute and a half) I've lost interest. Time to switch to another local news channel that doesn't have a broken app.

Please update or somethng. I love channel 12, ive been watchn ch.12 4 almpst 40yrs. But its taking 2 long 4 your app 2 open. Thats y i gave it a 4 instead of a 5. Please fix that problem & i"ll give it a 5. Almost every1 that we no 💙's ch.12. So again please fix. Thank U!

I can never get the stories to open in a timely fashion. On average, it takes over 7 minutes for stories to load from main page

App keeps freezing and closing itself out. Can't view anything for more than 10 seconds.

Will not let me send news to my email. When I try to share on Facebook the news article I want to share is not the article the app allowing me to share. If I try to share article on Covid19 Vaccine I can Only share an article about an automobile accident. This app is ABSOLUTELY horrible. Go back to old app. 😡🤬😡😡😡 I can not share to anything but Facebook. When I try to share an article on Facebook the article will not appear. This app is horrible. Seriously thinking about deleting app.
