13News Now - WVEC

Feb 19th: STILL CRASHES. It will now open, but only for a few seconds before it crashes again. I'm not the only one this is happening to. PLEASE FIX THIS !!! The November 20th update has crippled this app! The app now fails to open. It doesn't make it past the intro screen before it CRASHES and CLOSES, and the RESTARTS in a continuous loop. I have cleaned cache, restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled, all of the usual self-helps, and it still fails to open. PLEASE FIX THIS.

I like being able to review any news, weather, etc. from the day. I find the homepage cluttered and when I look for something mentioned on a broadcast, it is time consuming. Often in a broadcast they will say to go to the app and look for links, etc. but I usually give up when I can't easily find them.

I love watching this channel even though I don't live in this market. I visit the area quite often and have become accustomed to watching it every time I'm in Hampton Roads.

The app was easier to navigate before the update. You open the app and click on where you want to go....very simple. Now you have to search for everything....getting to the 7 day forcast is time consuming. Love the older version so much better!!

Weather radar is now unuseable. This app used to have the best weather radar available, with several different options. Now there is only one view, and the banner ad at the bottom completely covers the "Play" icon, rendering it useless for figuring out the path of storms.

The reason I rated this 3 ? When I go to the weather section to see what's going on, I have to watch advertisements. I depend on this weather section when there is severe weather involved. I can see having ads during regular time's but when you're in an emergency situation, I don't think I should have to watch ads before I can be updated to what is happening. I'm very frustrated. I hope you will take this into consideration when planning upgrades to this app.

Old app was more useful. Just open and read, new one, you have to hunt for the news, after the 8-10 second load time. It's just more trouble than it's worth. Click click click, oh look yesterdays news. Now I have to pick a different local news channel, and hope there app isn't a navigation trainwreck. Sucks too, because 13 has the best weather forecasting in town.

I love this app! It keeps me up to date on the local news & weather! It's a very user friendly app so anyone can use it, plus I love 13 news & all the anchors. Their meteorologist are amazing and 9 out of 10 times are correct with the weather, they have always been on point with the storms & hurricane and you can easily see the weather with this app!

Old version was good, new sucks, no search option. If I see a story and want to share or show someone its gone no way to find again in app. No options for stories by city. Uninstalling and using google instead. No point to app if I have to use Google to find the story I want to read. Also I dont like being forced to update. Old version has been gutted.

Horrible app, barely functional. Crashes often when you open it, can't use PIP, and let's the screen time out while watching.

AWESOME app! It has continued without doubt, provided me with up to the minute alerts to all ranges of alerts! I open my phone and there it is a news alert simple easy & informative! Way to go 13 you have a loyal listener, follower, viewer.

I grade to excellent score, because 13 news local station is deliver a non bias reporting but it's balance flexible. And, every minute or hour some followers are going to call 13News of breaking news to let them know what is good or bad situation happen inside the house or outside the Hampton Roads.

Where is the live news stream on the app? That is what was great about the last app, actually seeing the live news, weather, and sports coverage as it happens. Give me that back with a full screen and I will be satisfied.

I think the new app is leaps and bounds above the last. I like the fact that you can watch the news but I wish you could watch missed broadcast (DayBreak, Noon, and 6pm).

Actually preferred the prior version. This version will not open promptly. I will try to open an article, nothing happens, then 5 minutes later it pops up.

Overall it's ok. Need a faster way to get to the interactive weather map. In the lawncare business, most days I rely upon the map

I record this news channel as well so I can look at it after work. I do like the app, it's an opportunity to share with others, through social media! Thanks
