Not sure if someone new took over control of app development, but it's gotten SO much better in the past year. I especially love that we can transfer custom amounts of money into our wallet instead of the $10 increments. My only issue is that for a while now, the only "free items" with deliveries over $10 are slurpees, whereas there used to be a good variety of snacks and drinks offered.
The AMOUNtT of information this app collects for onboarding is ridiculous! I just want some chips! I'm deleting and requesting my information be deleted. This is crazy. UPDATE: After receiving my order, I can't lie. The food was not what I expected. Fresh, hot, quick delivery. Its clear the developers can't be U.S because the attention to detail is amazing. If you can shirk the onboarding and ordering process, this could be a game changer 🙌
absolutely awful. placed an order with an expected wait of 20 minutes. it said there was a driver assigned but when I went to go track it, it wouldn't show me anything. 30 minutes later, I tried contacting support only to be forced to talk to a bot that is less capable than ChatGPT's first ever model. I couldn't be put through to a human no matter how hard I tried. their contact info doesn't load on their website. finally, an hour later, they give a fake number, and say no driver available.
The 7-11 app is superior to most shopping apps, in my opinion. It is categorized in an easy to understand format. I am an avid sales shopper and have been shopping 7-11 sales for a long time. The 7-11 store brands also have good flavor and quality. It's fun when you go to the counter, arms over full and then hear ppl snicker when you turn to go get something else. At a "convenience" store?? Bargains can be found at 7-11 and their ad style make my job easier!
#1 driver gets lost even though I texted him with specific instructions. #2 1/2 of the order was missing, 1/4 of the order was wrong. Not a single item of hot food was delivered. If your store is out of items why are they not reflected in the APP so I can pick something else. yes I got a refund for missing items, what about a refund for wrong items...if you were out of certain items it should reflect it in your APP. You want to be the late night go to place to fall back on...SO DELIVER!!!!
I wasn't getting any of the messages for my code to log in. It locked me out, so I got sent to support. My call got disconnected, so I called again. I got ahold of someone to try and get my account unlocked, but they weren't able to help, so they just transferred me to someone else. Instead of transfering me to someone who can help. They transferred me to the internal store support line, not a customer service line. I've been at this for 30 minutes now and am really frustrated.
Way too many bugs and glitches in the app. Sometimes the "go to checkout" button disappears. Sometimes it would show an item is in stock but once you go to your cart it shows its unavailable. Sometimes in the homepage it will show an item is available but once you click on the item it shows the item is unavailable. The search button doesn't show all the items available with a key word. The delivery and pickup switches without asking the user. The UI and animation jitters or lags severely.
It's a great app in theory with some really good deals if you purchase the Gold Pass for the month, which is also very reasonably priced per month... Unfortunately it's extremely hard to successfully get an order delivered... For starters, the app just does not work for days or weeks at a time and when it does 90% of time the local store just automatically cancels the order or does nothing and the status stays as order received for hours until you cancel it...
The app is inconsistent. One day it will accept my card and the next day it won't. it's annoying, the tracking system needs serious work. like I am loyal customer of 711. and you've been around for so long you would think you guys would put more effort in service, I have had orders come late and sometimes they won't even have items that are listed. your inventory on the website doesnt match your stores. it needs more variety. very disappointing.
The app sent the delivery driver to a 7-11 location that didn't exist and they were not able to redirect to a real location address to fulfill the order. The contact support link in the app straight up doesn't work, I had to look up the customer support number online. To top that off I was on hold for 20 minutes, 20. Minutes. Just to talk to someone. It got sorted out eventually but what an awful experience.
The app rarely actually works. I tried about 15 orders and only 3 of them ever worked. The rest either give a payment error, say my card was declined (when it wasn't), gives a processing error, or goes through, only to cancel immediately or within a few hours (after not properly processing right away). The store told me it processed in their system in that case, but that it was "canceled by user". It wasn't. The app just tries to find every which way to not actually let me use it as intended.
Horrible Horrible Horrible. Finally got smart and am uninstalling the app. On multiple occasions they had me waiting over 1.5 hours for delivery from a store less than 2 miles away, and then cancel the order. Also had multiple instances where the payment would leave my account and could be seen as paid, but would show up as unpaid in their system. Then have to wait a day for them to release the funds. Also, when the mess up the order, you have to call in to get refund. Total pain.
The app works well; its easy to navigate and understand. The service itself is mediocre at best. My first order was over an hour late with no updates sent to inform me of a delay. The customer service line is an answering machine (even after stating there were 0 customers ahead of me). That being said, if you want something delivered from 7-11 and dont mind waiting upwards of an hour past the quoted delivery time, this is the app for you.
Out of all the apps I've had over the last 10 years, this is the worse. I've had to contact customer service multiple times. The app would pull the money from my account and then promptly post a payment failure notice. So, after the app takes money out for hours or days, you still get no service. On 2 occasions items were left out of the order and no refund was made. I've never rated an app this low before, but 7elevens low, low, low customer service has earned it.
I wish 0 stars were an option. This app will routinely allow you to make orders and believe you will receive them.....only to cancel them more than an hour afterwards, all while continually sending you updates that falsely advise you of updates on the status of the order. Then, refunds are inevitably slow to process. Used to spend a few hundred dollars per month at this store and on the app, through food orders, lottery, coffee, soda, etc., but I AM DONE WITH THIS COMPANY!!! UNACCEPTABLE!
Don't waste your time. Selection is nill, prices are on some sort of rollercoaster, there are hidden fees, support is not helpful and the people at the store don't seem to understand how to use it yet as they will get your order wrong just about every time. My last order was completely wrong, I had to wait until the next day to get ahold of support, there "fix" was to offer a refund after 10 days for the food but still charged for the delivery and fees. Also you can't use your rewards account even thought you are ordering directly from 7Eleven.
They have made hot foods unavailable after midnight now, despite being one of the only places to get stuff from the frill after midnight. They have codes that don't apply, or don't apply to you, or don't say what "qualifying items" make it work. Customer service is terrible as well. Had to fight with them for 3 days over an error they made in the app pricing for which I was overchanrged.
I placed an order and I paid for it. I receive a text stating there was a problem with the order and they had to cancel it, and would be credited back in a week. Nice, hold my money. Today I get an email that stated that they care about their customers and if I want a refund to go to help in the app, and individual businesses can do whatever they want. Give me money back you horrible people. Also, your app is awful. If you were unable to fulfill a simple order there is no excuse to take it.
I placed at order, and was getting updates about the delivery status. A couple of minutes before the estimated delivery time, the order was marked as delivered and that was it. No one called, no one knocked on my door, no one contacted me that they were having difficulty, but i did not receive my order. The customer service is basically a voicemail service and if you try to go through another customer service line, they cant do anything because its a different system.
Not worth the sorry waste of time. They don't accept any Debit card, and calls them "prepaid or giftcards". They only allow credit cards for subscriptions. They claim debit cards aren't eligible to hold subscriptions, which just isn't true. They do this because most of their users use Debit, and henceforth have to pay all of the fees rather than using the Gold Pass. I'm not dropping a single penny on this app. Please, spare yourself the time too.
