Used to work great. Now it disconnects randomly every time I drive. Sometimes multiple disconnects in a row. I've noticed it happens in the same physical locations every time. Must be something interfering with the connection. Also, sometimes it won't automatically reconnect and I have to reset the whole thing and install as if it were a new device. I honestly haven't even been using this anymore, I've just been plugging my phone in via USB. The disconnects are too frequent. Hope they fix this

Update: Editing my previous review because google or AAWireless has fixed the bug that bricked these wireless adapters . So, I do enjoy it and it does work fairly easily now. It's nice not having to use a cord on my phone all the time. Original: I've given up on it. It worked for a while but in the last month it has become a brick that constantly wants to start over. I've tried to use tech support but honestly at this point it's easier to just plug in the phone.

Great device and worth the money. Like other reviews have noted, you can increase the DPI settings to see features that might have previously been hidden (e.g. report incident). Not only that, but somehow Android Auto runs more smoothly then when directly connected to my device? To top it off, I always had an issue with hearing incoming calls when my phone was connected. I could only hear outgoing. Now that issue has also disappeared.

I use this app very often and typically love the convenience. However, when streaming music, I tend to notice a very short interruption that occurs every few minutes that lasts a very short amount of time, but still noticable especially during long, mind-numbing drives. This never happened when wired directly to the car. I would like to restate that I absolutely love this app + product, but for $80 I am a bit disappointed as I have expected better audio transmission :/.

Okay. This is awesome! This is what I was wishing Android Auto was from the get-go. I have a 2017 Mustang GT and a Google Pixel 5 phone. Setting up was sort of a pain, only in that I was still using my original short Ikea USB-C cable that I'd had in the car. It allowed Android Auto pass through, so I figured it would work. But would not connect. I tried switching options in the settings of the AAWireless app. Nothing. So I decided to swap out the cable with the one provided and it instantly popped up. That's why manufactures always mention using the provided cable. AA Wireless does not. They should! The provided cable is also a much better length for what I wanted. I have not done a full-on test drive with it yet, but love that I can change the DPI. I switched it to 100 and am now able to have the Maps and album artwork side-by-side. (your results may be different) This really does open up your Android Auto. Thanks!

This in general is a very well thought out app with its companion product. Omitted however is when the AA wireless device blinks red that means it cannot connect and in my situation turned out to be a set of earbuds that took over the phones Bluetooth connection. I was able to figure it out in about 5 minutes but it would have been nice if it was documented in the app that this is something you should check before going any further.

Very, very difficult to get it to connect anymore. Have to go into the vehicle settings and select it now (previously unnecessary). Half the time it is named "nexus", half AAWireless. And about half the time when seen as the latter, it is inactive, and can't be selected. All the while, the phone shows "connected to Android Auto".

1.8 has gotten much worse. Had a good run with 1.4, my system since 1.8 is utterly unstable. I've removed and reinstalled everything. Using a good edge. I have no idea what's going to happen when I start my car. Sometimes doesn't engage, sometimes works perfectly, sometimes half and half. Registers android auto, but no screens, but music works. It also constantly gives me notifications when my car isn't on. Android auto trying to connect. Again didn't happen with 1.4 or earlier, just 1.8

Really surprised with how easy it was to set this up. I have a 2021 Subaru WRX and all I had to do was plug the USB into the car and click the start setup button in the app. Everything happened automatically and I was able to connect on the first try. Really impressed considering the small team behind the app. Great job devs! Update: Firmware 2.0 finally fixed the issue where Discord audio would always play through the phone speaker. Was the only issue I had and now it is resolved.

I finally got my device delivered just as I was about to leave for a two hour drive. Connected without the app (did not realize there was an app). Took about 2-3 minutes to set up at first but then it just worked. I did not have a single dropped connection like my wired connection was causing so this is great. I have this in a 2021 Honda Odyssey. Seems to work perfect. Second drive had it start up reasonably fast with no issues. Great job! Highly recommend!

It worked flawlessly the first time, now it works when it feels like it! Basically, it connects to Android Auto when it feels like it! This shouldn't be a problem. You get in your car and it should reconnect, that's it, you shouldn't have to wait a minute or two for reconnection. The previous update through it out of place, waiting for another update!

Works even better than I had hoped. Not only does it make my Android auto wireless it it is extra features such as whether I listen through my earpods or through my car is a setting so many benefits. Two things I hope they address in future releases. One, sometimes it cuts out for a second. I think it's caused by interference based on radio waves coming in and out of the car from from as I drive through heavy city traffic. And two make it so it's easy to switch between two phones.

It works well and it's convenient when it does work, but it constantly drops the connection. Then I have to unplug it to make it readable for connection. It's very troublesome for this to happen while I'm driving and using the GPS. I have to pull over and fix it so I have my directions. It's not easy to reconnect mid-drive. If this was fixed then it would be perfect.

Works beautifully and I'm so happy that you have a bluetooth-driven auto-connect. My car kept wirelessly connecting to my car at random times during the day because the USB turns on occasionally. Now it won't connect unless the car is turned on and the phone sees the car's Bluetooth connection available. Perfect!

Got this on Kickstarter, my original phone was too old (Bluetooth stack) to connect to it. Now I'm on a Pixel Fold and the device won't connect to my car. I try the troubleshooting system in the app, which prompts me to hit the Support button, but all that does is close the app. No support email, no support form, nothing. Come on!!! Just setup a support form on your website like everyone else. At this point, I 100% do NOT recommend this device.

Works great, there are some spots that will drop the signal. But they happen at the same places, the same way, every time you pass those spots. Not sure if they are some specific frequency or what, but it's not a huge problem for me. I love how you can separate the Bluetooth from the android auto in case you want to use a different device to talk on.

Almost every drive it gets stuck and I have to unplug and plug in again. Extremely frustrating for a 100$ item. If I receive a phone call while on GPS, the GPS screen just freezes. If I get a text message, the sound never goes back to Bluetooth and I have to unplug and plug in again. Extremely buggy device and software. us the Motorola instead.

My only issue is that it frequently disconnects from Audible. I have to select the last book I was listening to and sometimes this doesn't appear at all. Reloading the app doesn't seem to work either. Occasionally, just picking up my phone will force it to reconnect even if I was just using Audible and turned the car off for a few minutes.

Has been working lately. The first 9 months were very unpredictable. But after some recent updates, it's pretty much flawless. So many variables. But on a 2019 jeep Wrangler with the 7 inch unconnect head unit, it been rock solid. Update 5/25/2025. had been running fine. currently on a pixel 8. Then glitches and cannot stay connected. Tried several trouble shooting steps. Had to give up on this adapter.

So I've had this device for about 5 months. I should have returned it. But it didn't. It hasn't worked since I got it. I've tried it in three vehicles that have Android auto. I have reset the device. I've cleared the cache uninstall the app. Cleaned everything. Reinstalled everything. Tried to set it up again. I have not used this device yet. It has not worked. If there was a way for me to leave a review on their website I would give it another one. Star. The worst device waste of money.
