Every time I open the app, I dismiss their cross selling ads. That action records my feedback that "I've seen this ad too often". Yet it keeps showing up. Don't tell me that you need a app release to stop annoying your customers? Anyway the 3 stars are for the settings menus that have been scattered across old and newer UXes for years. This app has zero or way too many PMs.
The daily limits have a stupid design. Why does transfering to internal savings account use up your daily limit? How does that help with security? Also, the fact that you can't set the daily limit to an amount higher than what you have in your account is stupid. It means you can't prepare if you're expecting more money than usual. You have to remember to update the daily limit when you've just been paid so you can set it to a high amount. Not being allowed to use your own money is frustrating.
Terrible, since the last update a couple of days ago. The app freezes and crashes constantly. I am not even able to complete login unless I try multiple times and wait for it to respond through constant freezes. Rebooting my phone, changing network connection, stopping app and clearing cache had no effect at all. After re-installing the app issue was resolved. Update: issue persists, now if I close and re-open the app it becomes responsive with the 2nd attempt.
the last 2 days, I tried to log in and it keeps on requesting to set up a new daily limit to proceed with the log in. Even though I have changed the daily limit and updated the app it doesn't allow any further steps. I also couldn't proceed with any online transaction from my laptop. (only physical payment by card was working)
While I get (and like) the idea of waiting for 4 hours to change my daily limit for security purposes, the whole concept goes down the drain if the app could not even execute the change in the first place! Whenever I try to do so on the app, the app closes and displays the message 'Your session has expired. Please log in again'. I would then log in and surprise, surprise, the app does not reflect the change that I asked it to. I have been doing this since yesterday & I am VERY FRUSTRATED!
New device. Everytime opening the app it wants me to fill in my account number pass number & ajust the limit of what I can pay without using the e.dentifier. After confirming with the e.dentifier I have to put in the 5 number code and am in. when the app closes and I open it it wants me to go through the whole thing again! WHY. I tried the ID photo that didn't help. I uninstalled is did not help either! 🙂Thank U for responding! I uninstalled and installed AGAIN and now it works! 😃
For past month, I don't see amount in push notifications. There's no toggle to set push notifications on/off. Instead an error is shown stating something went wrong. try again! UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO BELOW REPLY: I categorically mentioned that I don't see any option like payments or anything under push notifications setting. there's only an error displayed. I am sorry but thats a typical reply. I just chatted to the agent through app and ended up with no solution.
Can you kindly keep the app available for Android 11? I can't update my phone to the latest software and banking app is an everyday necessity in NL, especially so because you have no physical premises across the country and everything has to be done online. The idea that I can't use the app just because I don't have the latest phone is pure madness. This is the fastest way to lose most of your customers. Is there anything you can do to keep the app available for Android 11?
not enough contrast, not enough contrast, not enough contrast !!! 🤬🤬🤬 horrendous experience. trying for over 30 min to open an account and I can't get past the step where I need to scan my ID. Front scanning without problem, back fail to scan because lack of contrast 😂😂😂. what a joke. tried different lightning, different angles and still nothing works. I guess I'm off to ING in this case...
Used to work flawlessly, but.. since the past months it doesn't anymore. Frequent errors when transferring money, e.g. with tikkies. The only thing that helps is restarting the app. Also no notifications anymore for tasks that are waiting and now I look for awaiting tasks and there are 9 tasks that I've transferred in the past already. Sadly it's rapidly going the wrong way with the app.
For many years the app has worked well, but now I have to reinstall the app every couple of weeks and go through the activation process again as it keeps showing "an error has occurred" error message.
The app constantly freezes and shows an annoying "ABN Amro has stopped responding" pop-up every 3 seconds. When I click 'Wait', the app works fine. It's been like this for years.
Update: The issue was related to a strange functioning of my wireless network and I was not aware that ABN App is not starting without Internet access. Now it works well so back to 5 stars. Thank you! Original post: I am sorry to let you know that lately the app is not opening properly. Almost 4 out of 10 times, when I open the app, it freezes in "loading" window, with the circle turning. A phone restart used to be enough to get it working but not anymore. And it really is frustrating.
New update and again new issues. Now push messages become completely useless, as they contain no information anymore. I'd like to turn them off, but even this I can't do, because in the push messages settings I constantly get an error message. And the message itself is also completely useless as it literally says: Something went wrong. ABN AMRO needs to fire the whole team responsible for the app - it is getting worse and worse with each update.
The app used to work really well on my old phone, still does, but for some reason my new phone is trapped in an endless loading screen. Tried restarting my device and updating the app, but neither worked.
hey I cannot finish the process of activating ABN AMRO, after I scanned my ID and the NFC chip, it says "Done!", but it does nothing. why do you set these methods if you cannot make them work??
I have used this app for almost 15 years now and it was just fine until the introduction of the slider safety feature. It doesn't add anything to overall security, but definitely creates discomfort using the app. Please disable this feature or at least make it optional.
Completely impossible to identify yourself using Passport or Driver's license. Scanning NFC gives an error instantly telling you to hold your phone still even if it's lying flat on the table. Fix your app please.
I love this Bank and its app. This app is designed in a very simple and user friendly way. It is also the best choice for expats. Additionally, their services and customer service is truly wonderful particularly for foreigners and expats.
I can't install the Tikkie app because it is region-blocked (so, functionality that should be available from within app is outsourced to an external but unavailable app). Also, scheduled payments do not appear in the Future tab of the account (in spite of filtering specifically for them; for example, for a rent payment, only the prediction of a payment appears, but I cannot cancel and modify from within the details of the prediction... and the scheduled payment does not appear; EOY BUG?).
