ABP for Samsung Internet

Greatly helps get rid of annoying, intrusive ads. I can now watch videos with peace of mind. Plus, it's free. Sometimes, it doesn't work on mobile YouTube through. Have to refresh multiple times, and sometimes that isn't enough. EDIT: Some websites still show intrusive adds even with the add blocker on. Even with refreshing. Wish one can block these kinds of ads manually. For that, one star removed.

For the most part it works. I don't do a lot of web browsing on phone and just use YouTube. It stops all the adds during the video but misses the 1 or 2 before and after video. It had also worked for the YouTube app in the past but now it doesn't. It quit a couple months or so ago, then worked for a week and now back to not working.

Other adblockers are starting to work better than this one and I'm sad about it because I've been loyal, this works on most websites, but not all, they also seem to not bypass websites that block us from watching their website if using an adblock program like others do. Over time I've become more and more disappointed in this overall, I hope it improves again.

It worked for a couple years, but suddenly stopped blocking the ads. I checked for updates, redownloaded the ad blocker, and redownloaded the internet browser I use. Still failing to block all the video ads. It worked good up until then. I would suggest trying a different ad blocker until they release an update that fixes this issue.

This app used to work well since it was designed for the Samsung Internet Browser. NOT ANYMORE, now it's just taking up space on my phone. After the last update, the app quit working. I figured that there was going to be a bug fix or update, but I was wrong. Im completely uninstalling ABP and SIB. I like the browser, but I refuse to deal with ads. PERIOD! ABP really blew it.

Allows "acceptable ads!" Kind of evades the point of the app right? Even if you disable that option in the settings menu (mostly on the desktop version) it will reinstall itself and re-enables acceptable ads. You can take the survey but that does nothing and they never respond to critical feedback. It DOES block some things, I'll give it a star for that, but I want an adblocker that blocks ALL ads, not just the ones it doesn't make revenue on. Improve your morals or grow a backbone. DO NOT USE!!

I had Chrome set as my default browser, however, with no ability to install an adblock, I opted for Samsung Internet cuz it had the option to install ABP. Now, I can surf websites, read articles, and most conveniently, watch YouTube videos while I sleep without having to worry about those an hour or two long ads hijacking while I am asleep. This illustrates how a great addon can make you use an entirely different brand or product when they work together. You can still support acceptable ads.

It works as expect and white list functionality was added. Nice! But still missing a manual blacklist. Similar to the pc version, where you can block regions or entire sites, using regex. It should be very interesting to be able to share the same configuration between all installations ( chrome, firefox, android, etc.)

This ad blocker is no longer working, as others have reported. The Samsung Internet Browser will reportedly be dropping all support for ad blockers in 2024 due to pressure from Google. So, this app is on borrowed time. That would explain why the developers do not fix the issues, and why they respond to all complaints by asking you to contact them by email for assistance, where they will promptly ignore you. It just makes it look like they still care, but this app is already dead.

Sometimes I wonder what Google bases it's 3 "Tell us more" questions (underneath the stars for your rating) on, 'cos frequently I find it couldn't possibly be related to the app I'm trying to rate. Does this app look good visually? I mean, "yes"? Cos it does a great job of letting me browse nearly hassle-free, and since I've never literally seen an ad-block app doing any of its good work, I'm gonna go ahead and call that "good visually" 😎

For some reason it has stopped blocking ads. I changed nothing, it updated in March & at the beginning of this week - June, I see lots of big chunky ads & distractors, ads I have to interact with to minimize them. It's bothersome. And it's still happening on my new phone. What's the deal? I get error messages saying it's no longer working. Have you considered fixing that?

The negative reviews here are unwarranted. Either you don't know how it works or you expect it to work outside of the Samsung browser, which it doesn't and isn't supposed to. As for me, it's great! I expected the browser to be slower but it's actually much faster with this blocker. Kudos to the developers!

I am extremely unhappy with my Adblock Plus Premium subscription. I want to cancel it before it self-renews on July 2, 2024, but there is no way to cancel without having access to a desktop computer. I am using Adblock Plus Premium on my Samsung cell phone. It is sneaky and dishonorable to make unsubscribing so difficult. Any company that makes it almost impossible for some people to unsubscribe or cancel is not trustworthy. WARNING: Do not subscribe! 👎

it was working fine for the purpose I'd downloaded it for - blocking youtube ads - but this week it stopped. Thought I had to clear my data.. nope. uninstalled/reinstalled the app... nope. My browser is up to date. Then I checked the reviews and it seems everyone else is having the same issue. I know this is a very privileged thing to be angry about, but I cannot put into words how much blinding rage I feel when I hear this dumb woman in a yellow dress say, "Let's talk about your poop.!"

Adds much reduced. I find adds dirruptive and refuse to read or buy them! I have been receiving 2 second pop ups saying my add blocker is not working properly (?) but disappear before I can screen capture. I don't see this happening. might be a hack to make me turn it off? keep up the good work! ● NEW ● - Screen capture of short duration msg says: "AdBlock for Samsung browser isn't working properly. Open it from the Apps screen to see what went wrong." Opening doesn't show any error. HELP

does a great job. you can see where the ad would have been, which ads can be very annoying to one's overall browsing experience, but the boxes are blank. no annoying video ads or click bait. I enabled allow non-obtrusive ad since they help creators, which helps to make ABP free :-)

I've been using this for awhile but for some reason YouTube is spamming me with ads on my phone again. I've tryed updating the lists and updating the languages and everything (I can think of)... Update: may 24th 2021: it doesn't seem to work on YouTube or any noticeable difference to internet ads anymore

Unsupported ad block. This ad block is no longer supported by the company. Ads on Facebook are not blocked and is completely broken when watching YouTube videos. Youtube adsvare not shown vut you still have to sit through a blank screen while the ad pkays in the background. It's faster to watch videos with the Add block plus disabled as then I can actually skip the add instead of waiting for it to play all the way with ad block

Worthless to me as my issue is during playing apps and get those stupid irrelevant ads (usually for another game, great move Google). I stream music while playing games. To be extorted from the advertisers and the game developers (for upselling a block feature that rarely works) is garbage. And when the ad audio is 10x louder than my music is reprehensible. My ONLY workaround is to play games "in airplane mode" (but lose streaming ability).

I'm using this adblocker in desktop or laptops and I have no complain for it because I really like it, but here in android ver. it doesn't really block anything because the pop ups that keeps on opening my Lazada app can't block itnand really annoys me so can you do something to improve this app so that it can block anything including those annoying pop ups that opens apps.
