The app is good, unless you look at a lot of firearms. Anytime I click to a link to a firearm at academy in my browser, the app automatically opens, loads for a second, tells me I can't see firearms in the app, and then redirects me back to the browser (where I already was in the first place). It got pretty annoying and eventually I just uninstalled the app.

Now the back button doesn't work after you choose filters ( Brand, gender, etc). All the time spent selecting the brand of the products you are interested is wasted because something so basic for an app doesn't work . I am referring to any of the back buttons on the application that after viewing an item and its details you want to go back of the items to continue browsing the items on your list. It's something so frustrating because it is so basic and developers can test it before releasing it.

App sucks big time! I was doing my shopping,adding items to my cart,found alot of good deals to. But when I go to check out,app just crashes and keeps telling me to try back later. It won't allow me to edit my cart,can't remove items that I changed my mind on,or found a better deal on. I have repeatedly logged out,logged back in,and nothing! Refreshed the browser everything! Still nothing. Guess I gotta do my x-mas shopping with the competitors this year

Please update your app/catalog to hide items that are not in stock or available by any means. As a customer it's very frustrating to click on an item and find out there's no way to buy it from your store. It drives me to other sites and prevents me from actually spending money with you. It should be pretty easy to implement. At the very least update UI filter option to hide out of stock items.

The biggest reason for my use of the Academy app is for research on potential purchase of firearms, ammunition and firearm-related products. I typed "9mm ammo" into the search bar and it had zero results. For "9mm ammo"?!?!?!?! Absolutely ridiculous. Please fix this immediately, or make it clear whether or not you have any intention of selling firearms or firearm-related products at ALL, so I can just get rid of the app entirely.

Unbelievably slow. Frustratingly slow. In fact, it's slower than the website, which is at a snail's pace. What's the point of hide out of stock and using filters if the app doesn't apply them? Can't search my local stores inventory until you click on an item. This app is useless if you want anything other than ship to home. EDIT Speed of the app is better, not great, but better. The filter aspect is still trash. Won't scroll down through filter selections and hide out of stock still useless.

This app is terrible and time-consuming! I shouldn't have to reset my filters EVERY TIME I click on a product for a closer look/more information! The filters aren't even accurate to BEGIN with! Everything- every single thing- was sold out or out of stock. Uninstalling and unsubscribing from the waste of time emails too. I'll stick to Dick's Sporting Goods. At least THEY have items in stock and will price match as well. Good riddance.

The filter options make it impossible to shop. Example: I'm looking for a mid priced riffle. I know I'd like a larger caliber, but I don't have anything specific in mind. There was no option to search riffles only. Furthermore, if I sort by price high to low, all I get are special order items. I never got past it before I gave up. I'll shop elsewhere.

This problem was never fixed so I no longer use the app, I have gone back to using a browser. (11/16/22) I love using the app to shop...except for 1 aspect which is MADDENING. When shopping & have added filters (size, gender, deals, etc), if you click on an item to look at it & then use your phone BACK button at the bottom of the screen (an unbreakable habit) instead of the back arrow in the app at the top of the screen, all filters get cleared & have to all be entered again. So frustrating!

useless due to play store rules. cannot even look at the stock status of firearms or ammo. I understand about not being able to purchase these items, but I can even use it to look up shotgun shells before I go to the store. so I'll just use their website for everything from now on. the website isn't much better, as it shows most of the time.

It was better. For some reason I can't seem to pay my bill off of the app any longer. I login and it just spins . I've tried different days and different devices. It's very frustrating and if I can't pay this will affect my credit score. Truly needs to be fixed . Had this app and card over a year this problem just started a couple months ago. Before this 5 out 5 , sorry the score went down .

Love the store, hate the app... Anytime I use the app and go to look at an item. It will not let me use the back arrow feature to return to the searched item list. It's like the back function stops working, everything else on the page works just fine...I just can't back out. I gotta close the app, reopen the app, reload my search criteria, and scroll back to where I last was. A complete and total hassle.

I like the app a lot, but searching for specific sports items is quite difficult. There's no way to search based on sports or other categories, which means you can't search for specific sports. Also, unless you know the name of the item you're looking for, if you search by entering the kind of item you're looking for, the results come back with things that are completely unrelated. If they fix this function, it would get 5 stars. Search could be an overall limitation, rather than an app limit.

Not right was told I wasn't logged into my online account when I placed the order so wasn't eligible for a promo when I used the app and my account .. it shows in my orders but still nothing . Customer service wait times are ridiculous and then you get dropped due to inactivity while on your 20 minute wait .. after 1 hour now I am on the phone when them . Don't waste your time .

The app is terrible. It freezes when you click to look at a certain item. Also, even if you click "hide out of stock" everything still shows up when browsing, even the out of stock items. So annoying. Go ahead and tell me to clear the cache on my phone. It's not that, it's a bug within your app..get it fixed!

I ordered online ship to store items. Once I had arrived, I had to basically pay for the item again because my payment magically didn't go thru (what if i didn't have my wallet or phone big inconvenience). I wasn't notified or anything! academy!! You guys need to do better. it was time-consuming and highly unacceptable.

Ordered 2 items for pick up, local store said they were ready, and then the store said we had to wait a week to get the items shipped even though they were in stock. That's obviously stupid so I'll just get my cheap hunting stuff on Amazon since one day shipping is better than waiting a week plus just to drive into town and pick it up myself.

Ever since the last update unable to mange/ pay my bill. Goes into the login quick then the circle of death starts and never loads. Living 45 miles to my nearest store paying online is just cost effective. Now I can't see my balance, make a payment nothing. But miss the payment and next day they are calling and charging a late fee. One of the only reasons I even use the app and now can't do that either.

So many items are missing from their website. Also, their websites pretty broken on mobile; constantly with a pop-up asking for me to verify I'm human, but nothing loads in the pop-up. So I'm effectively locked out of the website, and their app doesn't have a bunch of the items that I'm trying to purchase. I think it would be a lot more intelligent of them to allow me to install the web app directly from their website and also fix their website. Then they wouldn't have to put up a gimped app.

There needs to be a clear direction for "pay my bill". I've been trying to navigate this app for 2 days. Re- entering account # and waiting for a code to be texted, and resetting my password. They want the money, but make giving it to them so infuriating. This is just one more card that's just not that important. Cancelling Soon.
