Active Experience

My husband and I just ran the virtual armytenmiler. We clicked to start the race at the same time. He was using his phone to listen to a book, I was not using my phone for anything except the app. He heard prompts at every mile and was able to submit his results. After my 10 miles, I checked my phone, the app said I ran 0.23 miles! The app doesn't appear to work in the background - no record of having run 10 miles! Maybe I just missed the instruction to turn off any phone power saving features.

Like the others, i used it for army ten-miler. It worked great, gave me updates every mile then showed my time at the end. THEN i hit submit results and it completely lost my time, couldn't find it anywhere or even a record that i had done a run. If you use this app make sure you have GPS enabled when the screen is locked and that you take a screen shot when you finish.

App successfully timed my virtual race but would not upload the results (failed to connect) even after trying a few times on LTE and WiFi. Rebooted my phone to see if that would resolve the issue, and results had disappeared from the app. Good thing I had taken a screenshot of the malfunction that included my race time..... Very hard to recommend this app...

Doesn't work. I had to use a different program to get updates that are texted to me. Not a single update on this app, but I have texts that my friend is nearly done with the race af this point. I HAVE gotten SEVERAL notifications about events that aren't in my area and have zero interest in. Like 4 of them in the past 2 hours. So if you don't want to get updates for your friends, but DO want to know about 50 upcoming events that don't matter to you -- then this is the app for you!

As a spectator using the app to track runners, the biggest flaw is that it absolutely drains the runners batteries. Both people I was following said they had to turn their location permissions off because of how rapidly it was draining their battery. Really poor design considering the planned use, and the UI and user experience both leave a lot to be desired. While it worked it was fairly reliable, but most runners just can't use it long enough in it's current state.

The app did not start tracking my wife until after she crossed the finish line. When it did start tracking her I got a message that she also needs to download the app and enable tracking. This would have been good information to have BEFORE she started running. Basically, this app was utterly useless. Don't download it, it's a waste of time. Wish I could give it zero stars.

Update: used this app and the website to upload my screenshot. I was able to enter time on the website, but when I entered my screenshot, it would not show the uploaded file as I submitted. Click submit, successfully submitted but that's weird. Customer Service never responded to my first issue.

Overall, the app worked. Starting the race was easy, but there was not voice prompt that the timer started. I lost about 10 seconds verifying the timer was working. The voice for updates during the run was very 2010 quality. Other than that the App was good.

The whole process of me having to create an account and be approved by the runner to view their progress is unnecessary. Especially if this is done at race time just allow spectators to search runners and view progress. The app opens so 2 stars.

Why do you even exist? The Run the Alamo started 2 hours ago and the app still says that "estimated location will be displayed after race start"!!! This app is trash and the developers should really consider how disappointed their parents are with their life choices. Your parents lie and tell others that you clean adult video sets after filming is finished just so they aren't embarrassed that people will know you are associated with this app.

Horrible! What a waste of time. The app does not track the athlete you follow. Your better off having your friend or family member not have the app because it just drains the cell battery. Better off if they donf download this useless app and have battery to call you when they finish.

If you are trying to do a virtual run/race this app needs to be able to let you pause/stop and then start again without going back to 0. I was trying to do my race when I realized I had to start over.

Was not able to sign up to track a runner. I found her though runner tracker but was not given me an update on her. I was not able to go into course map, it will take me out of the app. REALLY BAD APP!!

Ran the Army Ten Miler and the app provided great information at each mile, however when I completed the run it failed to submit my time or stats and it said I had strong GPS! VERY disappointing for first use!

Just a message showing"No event yet" and a "Retry" button which does nothing. Army Ten Miler should partner with a more serious developer.

The app keeps crashing whenever I try to open it. I have a race this weekend that is using this app to track all the participants. I can't even get logged on. Help!!

Terrible design. I finally gave up. I couldnt even register because the UI for android required i click back one month at a time to reach my date of birth. OMG so stupid. Was taking forever. I gave up and deleted the app. Not worth the headache.

it worked, tracking several friends around the route. It would be good if the map was more in line with the detailed PDF map from the organisers which included mile markers and other info.

Nothing really works. updated and the course map is gone didn't work anyway none of my confirmations come through the app I can't even register through the app. Just a waste of space on my phone

Map didn't work, just showed a map of the world. Feature to upload a selfie to find event photos didn't work. Click the button, nothing happens.
