I'm gonna be honest, I've used this app for a while for my video thumbnails, but it's been annoying how everything that I want to use has become premium and I need to subscribe to use it, and downloading images to my gallery has been awfully slow lately. I've always recommended Adobe for thumbnails, designing book covers, etc. But now-a-days, the app has just been annoying me.
For the love of all things good in this world, please go back to the old version. This app was user friendly, and I cannot get it to function at this point. All the blank templates seem to have disappeared. I used to pick the layout and could make the border the size and color I wanted (what border...). I'm not a huge fan of technology, so being able to jump in and design something quickly was a bonus for me. I'm so frustrated now I'll probably just uninstall the damn thing.
You have to log in to desktop to use the images. Update: the above issue seems to have been resolved. My latest issues include not being able to use the app at all (despite paying money for it, it was buggy and not granting me access). After wasting a lot of time with customer support, they convinced me not to cancel... By offering me a free trial for three months. I agreed... Unfortunately, instead of providing a free trial, they decided to be sneaky and instead bill me twice a month.
I am so annoyed. Worked hours on a flyer. Could not get it into PDF format. Went to another computer to access Windows 10 so that I could open it without my phone. Opened it. Had to sign up for premium. Lost all fonts. Had to re-design it. After all that, there was no option for saving or sharing or exporting at all. OR getting it into PDF which is what I needed in the first place. Very frustrating.
I mean... I've only used it for like an hour but I've had no problems creating a custom gamerpic so I'm giving it five stars. Everything is super accessible and I didn't need to watch a tutorial video for anything. $9.99 is too steep a monthly subscription for a photo editing app. I would definitely pay that one time. I will have to discontinue use and cancel before my free trial ends. You can't say I'm not fair, Adobe.
I hated the previous version, and find the new app much more user friendly! There's definitely a learning curve, it looked more complicated at first, but once I got my bearings, I loved it. Particularly love how you can just try out several pictures without constantly going back to the search tool and retyping what you're looking for. HOWEVER CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY WE DON'T GET A JUSTIFY TEXT OPTION ? Sorry for screaming, but it's just SO basic that the absence of it is beyond me.
I don't know why I think they'll change and that every time I give Adobe another shot by trying one of their products I won't be let down. At least they're consistent. While there are a few nice things it doesn't outweigh the fact that using Adobe is like taking a step back in technology. I feel like I'm stuck in 1992 or pre windows with the product they provide. VistaCreate, Canva, I can name a dozen other apps that offer a lot more for a lot less. I'm sorry but step up your game or close shop!
A damn good site for anything you want, logos, flyers, cards, invitations, you name it. I have only used the free version and I have made some really good looking business cards and flyers. Really easy to navigate also, you don't need any designing skills to create and get super results. I am going to get the paid version soon because if the free version is this good the paid one must be awesome! Try it you will like it!
Makes the most simple things so challenging! I just don't find it very intuitive yet. I end up going to Figma or PS on the computer often when trying to use this app. My biggest gripe is that it's impossible to get the fonts I want. There's just a big, unalphabetized horizontally scrolling list that I can't search (I have a LOT of fonts activated as a designer).
Maybe I'm suddenly old, but i don't care about sharing my photos on every possible app. I used Aviary for several years and absolutely loved it... I paid for many of the filters, it was such a fun tool! I got a new phone though and couldn't re-download it. A Google search said this app would replace it.. hard no. Not even comparable. Plus it encourages you to slap someone else's designs over your own photos and call that art? I'm so disappointed. I thought Adobe was better than this.
Updates often completely change functionality causing a brief period of "re-learning". 2,000+ memes later this is still the best app I've found that can absolutely nail 99% of what I need. Amazing. If they could include a way to utilize a GIF animation as the image instead of just a still of the first frame I would switch from the free version to a paid subscription. So close to the best thing on the Internet!
New version is awful and not user friendly like before. I can't use it to make collages anymore because I can't figure out how to. Edit: I figured out how but omg is it more work when all I had to do was put my pictures in and if they weren't fitting properly the app had a easy adjustable option to fix that. Now I have to select a grid and individually place them in and even then they might not even fit right so I'll have to do it over again. Edit: I uninstalled, it's too frustrating to use.
The older version was much better but since the new UI changes, it has gotten a lot slower. Also I am now no longer able to download my designs via the app using my OnePlus 9. I have cleared cache, reinstalled the application, etc and nothing works. I would have to go on the browser in order to download them. That, paired with no support for Tablets (which was one of the main reasons I had gotten a tablet) makes the user experience a lot worse overtime.
I love this app, but it can be very buggy. And when I have a deadline to put out a flier or whatever, having to restart/reinstall the app just to have certain features work, it's a huge hindrance on my work/time. Ie. Cannot search for templates through app. Searching through browser works, but I can't transfer any of them to the app. Also the spacing on the boxes around lettering will change or move for no reason and won't allow me to line things up properly until I close the app and restart
I only want to make simple slideshows with music and voiceover. The free version of Adobe Express allows for that with no watermark, this includes basic transitions between images. However, they don't help you do it, the app is set up to use premade templates and they push AI. If you're willing to take the time to figure out how to make your own, then it's worth it. I might give 5 stars if they made the simpler way easier to find and use.
Frustrating to use! There isn't a day that goes by that this app doesn't crash then to find the recent work you've been working on didn't save and your time wasted! It has great potential if the crash issues could just be dealt with! I cannot endorse this app and I'm seriously contemplating cancelling my subscription. Why pay for something that isn't working within reason? If anyone knows of a great alternative, please let me know! 👍
This app had been one of my favorites for editing photos/generating ads-- it was quick and easy to use. The newest update changed that-- it's now clunky, slow, and not intuitive (best example of this is the number of steps it takes to add text, and the reduced resolution of your work) There are so many great photo apps, I suggest you look beyond AdobeExpress for one.
This last update screwed me. Some of the fonts, including the one I use for my marketing material, has switched and now looks like the font I have my phone set to (cool jazz). Every post I have saved has for some reason switched the font to something to resembles cool jazz. UPDATE: I switched the font on my phone back to the original font and restarted my phone. That seems to have fixed the issue.
really set up to perform as they had intended, very limited. If you set serious crappy limitations on the trial, you can't expect a purchase based on faith that the full version actually works. Cannot fit to size, edited original in another Adobe app, 5 times smaller, still stretched to full which is larger than the border. Stupid. If you aren't creative, and you want to slap a picture down and put simple words over it, this will do that, but it's simple.
They offer a free trial, to see if the app will do what you need, it isn't free. They charge you right away and when you call they say they cannot refund your money. Google Play has to refund me. The app didn't do what I needed, it's more a photo editor app in my opinion, I needed to create something. I thought that is what trials were about, to find the app you need. Don't offer something if you can't deliver, just say pay, let the consumer know what they are getting.: exactly reiterated.
