Advanced English Dictionary

This app is a disaster. The voice recognition is terrible. I'm from the north east coast of the US, so there's no difficult accent issue to explain the problem and there's no typing option to get around it either. The app opens with full screen ads and throws more at you everytime you "turn a page". And the X's to opt out of the ads don't work. Even at this price, free, it's just not worth it.

Weirdly limited vocabulary, intrusive ads. The first word I looked up, "debility", wasn't even in the word list and I had to search online for it. Then it showed me a full screen video ad with sound. Immediately uninstalled, there's no reason to use this over any other dictionary app or just looking words up on a search engine.

Use this app everyday and you will thank me later. Easy to use, multiple brain teaser games in it that will make you perfect in English. Words of the day and sentences of the day really polish daily vocabulary and grammar when you open them daily. I lost my phone and downloaded it again. I'm addicted to this app. I will forever use it no matter what!

When I first downloaded this, it was good, met my needs and all. With time and several updates, it has become more and more unbearable. First it was the insane amount of time it took to start, next was the nagging prompt to connect to the internet which I found very odd for an app claiming to be an OFFLINE dictionary. The last blow was the denial of access to all but one meaning of multiple meanings words. The ads when online are not of descent amount either.

This is the most useless nonsense dictionary of all time . the offline thing is a scam. It doesn't search for the exact words I want. Instead it gives me options for words I could search for. I just wanted to know the meaning of the word "peace" , it failed to even find the basic meaning of the word. Terrible app .

I haven't really had the time to use this dictionary with pronunciation but it seems to be much! better than the others that are available. I would like to rate it again after proper use

I love it it have both online and offline dictionary. it also have where you can learn correct English. an English game for fun 😊

Too much ads, you can't use the app freely. It's usefulness is more on the negative side. The ads has taken it's space, there's no more sense into using it now

It is the best dictionary I have ever had, it is just more than a dictionary. there are also games like Crossword, puzzles, teasers etc.

It seems like the app has recently turned into the opposite of offline 'cause it now works only if uu are connected to the internet, but other than that the app is good

This dictionary is better than the best, I mean it's unparalleled by other Dictionaries and it gives brief and clear descriptions!!

It's not half bad but the ads are a little bit annoying to be honest and the offline dictionary is usually misleading from what the word actually means. So I'd recommend anyone who's interested in the app to rely on the online mode instead of the offline mode.

This app is not your best bet if you are looking for an efficient offline dictionary. It has just one meaning available and if you want to see more, you need to be online However, the app is very interactive and it's a great way to improve your vocabulary if you don't mind an online dictionary.

I should have rate it 5 stars but the ads is too much for non premium subscribers.

I used to really like this app, but it has completely gone downhill. The developers clearly don’t care about user experience anymore. An offline dictionary should work without internet, yet this one constantly pushes you online, only to bombard you with ads that interrupt every attempt to learn a word. It’s frustrating, unhelpful, and no longer worth the time. I’d rather use Google than deal with this app disguised as an “offline” dictionary.

To learn and speak English language fluently, one can't do without the help of an Advance English Dictionary of such edition. Although there are other Dictionaries, but I accept and understand vividly the defination of words given in this edition. precisely to me, it serves as the best Advance English Dictionary so far! Thank you.

the pronunciation audio doesn't work and sentence examples are insufficient

I purchased the "ads free version for lifetime" for $22.99 at the time. I have not had the app for 1 year, and already, the ads are popping up again! Can someone explain why?!... Because of this, i wouldn't recommend buying anything on this app or even downloading it! I got it so i could use it when i didn't have internet access, but that's not working anymore. Seems like this app is going in reverse, and a simple google search for definitions seems better now even if you need internet for it.
