Alto Pharmacy

While I love Alto's delivery service, their app is the slowest app I've ever used. And that's when it works at all! Half the time, it just freezes. As a specific example, the app launches a dialog prompting me to review my most recent delivery before continuing in the app. But this dialog can take up to a minute to load, and the app is frozen in the meantime!

Been using Alto for over a year now and the service is nearly perfect. Prescriptions are processed quickly, they have way better supply chain consistency than every other pharmacy chain I've tried (CVS, Walgreens, Caremark, Carelon, Amazon), speedy delivery, and responsive support. The app is simple and easy to navigate. It has some minor bugs but nothing too annoying; it's certainly leagues better than most other pharmacy and healthcare apps.

The service itself is wonderful. However, this app stresses me out!!! I don't understand why they don't fix it? I can't recall there ever being an update. It is so buggy. Constantly freezes. Using the chat function, I have to text somewhere else and paste it into Alto. If I try typing in Alto it freezes and I have to start over multiple times. I'm not sure I'll be with them much longer.

I can't say enough about how fabulous Alto is. I love that it is free delivery, same day. The notifications on my phone are amazing. I never miss a prescription because of it. I can talk to someone instantly. My dermatologist asked me to try a different company for a cream. I said I'll try and what I discovered was that Alto is million times better in timeliness, price, and service! Highly recommend.

Unlike most (all?) other apps, option is only to create a new account, not enter info for an existing account. ALTO is better than nothing, but frequently calls right before a delivery saying they're out of a medication and it will have to be delivered some other time. They seem to have no idea what their own inventory is. Also they don't take coupons such as Goodrx for non-covered meds. Delivery people are very nice though.

The service is good, the app is barely acceptable. Lots of spammy notifications indistinguishable from the critically important ones. They text, too, multiple times even if you see the notification. I'm really sick of it but the physical side's stayed pretty good so I'm only weakly in the market for an alternative.

It was great the first few times I tried it, but now my orders consistently get stuck as processing and never go through the delivery process, even weeks later.

excellent staff very helpful if a call is needed, knowledgeable and helpful caring. the app is super easy to navigate, fast and easy process. completely painless.

I really need a dark mode option. That's probably the only thing it lacks. Everything else is always superior to the other pharmacies out here. Alto is actually reliable. Imagine that...😊

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU'RE DISABLED!!! they REFUSE to dispense PRESCRIBED medications if they're "controlled". This only became a problem this month on very short notice. If you're disabled and have to take controlled medications, DON'T BOTHER. I am disgusted beyond belief, I used to recommend Alto to so many people because of how much of a lifesaver it was since I'm housebound because of my illness. Now I can't go here anymore. If you take controlled meds, for your own safety, go somewhere else.

This is by far the best online pharmacy service I've experienced. The app is well thought through. The transfers work well and are accurate. Customer service is okay. They allow for giving tip from a different card. Previously used for very expensive medication and I trust them. It's also by courier, so there's some extra expectation for tip but is totally worth it to me. Better than Amazon Pharmacy and feels more reliable.

Most of my experiences with this app have been good, but God forbid you have a prescription with refills. This seems like a common use case, but for some reason the app can't handle it. It constantly prevents you from refilling since it defaults to looking at the last refill in the series (e.g. 3 of 3) rather than where you actually are (e.g. 1 of 3). So it tell you that you can't get your medication for weeks and weeks, the date changes every time you open the app, and support fails to fix it.

This is an exceptionally well-designed app and an amazing service. My insurance doesn't cover certain medications and it was a nightmare trying to get them from Walgreens or other pharmacies. This app allowed me to get medications at reasonable prices delivered to my door. Communications with pharmacists and couriers is super easy. They truly thought of everything and provide an incredible service. Highly recommend.

Love this pharmacy and this app! It's a very clean and easy to use interface, and the customer service team always replies quickly. Two doctors have both remarked how great Alto is when I mention that I use them for my prescriptions. I used to use CVS and I always had communication & timing issues with them. I'm so glad I found Alto! Same day delivery every time, hassle-free. Can't recommend this pharmacy and this app enough.

This app is no good!! It took me almost an hour to check my delivery specifics, and try to send a message. But after completing the message it won't let me SEND. This app contradicts it's self. In one section it will show what is in your cart, but when you go into delivery details it's completely different.

Alto is one of the easiest services I've used. I click buttons and my medication shows up. No need to call people or deal with extra steps. They remind me to order my medication and deliver quickly so I never run out. I only have 1 medication that needs to be filled, and it is still more than worth it to use Alto!

The app is the best medical app I've used. It's intuitative and comprehensive. It integrates communication with organization into a model that comes across as a personal life management team. For a team I have never met, I trust them And for an app to come across as warm, intelligent and caring is amazing. Glad I jumped on the Alto trolley. Send more caramels.

Have to say, I wasn't sure what I was gonna get from my first time moving to an app pharmacy. But if my psychiatrist recommended it, I figured it would have to at least be decent. But I was wrong, it wasn't just decent, this app is FREAKIN AMAZING. The convenience! The ease of use! The delivery! The customer service!! I have zero bad things to say about Alto. I have no problems with it. In fact, I love it. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. Love love love Alto. Thanks for this amazing service!!

As of early 2023, the pharmacy no longer automatically applies manufacturer coupons. This means that every month, I have to reach out to them and specifically ask them to apply the coupon. They say it is something that they are "working on" but, again, this has been for almost 10 months now. Somewhat unbecoming of a "specialty" pharmacy.

Great app and excellent pharmacy. They answer all your questions without any hesitation in record time. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other options. Can't recommend enough. The only complaint (if I am being ultra picky) I have is that they don't price match just one medication. Go ahead and consider them for all your pharmacy needs.
