AmazingBooks Books Audiobooks

There is quite a selection of featured books most of which I wouldn't read unless they were 'dropped' at my finger tips. This is especially true of the longer works that have to be lugged around in hard copy. Things that have 500 pages. There are some 20th century classics that, well, I passed by in the past. I particularly like that they are free to download. It abolishes the need to pay for books or, during the pandemic, order then pick them up at a library.

Not one author I searched was to be found. I do have an app that allows me to read a ton of books for free but for the books that I can't find on there, I was hoping to find here. I was even willing to deal with the constant replay of the same two ads on EVERY screen switch. Every tab is another replay. I mean if I were to read the books I enjoy for free than why not? But not a single one. Even the books you had would not show up. This app is entirely useless. Get Libby, they don't disappoint!!!

Not sure how this got such high ratings. It plays chapters out of order. A lot of times it looks like an audiobook until you notice there is no "play" option, only a "read" option. Also got 2-3 pop up ads in a row at times that would stack on each other like I'm on a porn site. This is a really bad app. I'll happily pay a monthly fee to get real audiobooks.

Good. Some book titles show up, but then there is no book to download. Most or all books are public domain works and on occasion are read by some generous person that reads poorly or by someone with a piercing, nasal heavy, voice (I'm here for the audio books). This is only occasionally a problem. Otherwise it's perfect. Ads are minimal and have not interfered with listening.

Good if you enjoy older books, I managed to find a few interesting reads. However as I was downloading some, I was hit with a train load of ads. Just ad after ad after ad after ad. Dozens of them. Couldn't get out of one before another showed up. My screen was rotating like crazy, I have never been spammed like that in my whole life, even piracy sites have less ads. Please fix, extremely annoying.

As expected with a free books app, it's mostly old classic literature, but they're the favorites of the time. It is nice to read them and easily download. The only problems I have is that some books don't download, unfortunately, and you can't look at your library properly. Aside from those hiccups it's a wonderful app with so many books to discover and learn from.

I'm only a few days into it, but thus far I'm truly impressed with the variety of books. They have ebooks, audible (read aloud) and podcasts. Lots of different genres of each. Kids, adult, history, classic novels, new prints. They announce chapters and the library thing at every chapter start, but otherwise this is a no frills, no funny business app.

I've been catching up on all the classics I'd missed! I've only just begun one of the audiobooks, "The Man Who Knew Too Much and so far I'm enjoying it. I checked out samples of others and some have alot of versions, which is good because some are read better than others. Alot better than the obnoxious AI reader on my phone...and I'm too scared of Alexa...so it's nice to have the human recording. I can download what I like so I can keep them in one place offline, when I want it later.

This is exactly what I was looking for. You can read and listen for free and the ads aren't to invasive they are there when you open the app and as a lower banner when selecting a book but you can read or listen without much interruption. The audio books are perfect if you're looking for free books to listen to while you workout, do chores or are just waiting with nothing to do. Edit: I don't mind the ads but why do audiobooks randomly stop when the screen is off?

Awesome app! I can read great books, and save them to read offline! I am a professional touring musician who uses iems for hours and my pastime is usually listening to music, but too much of that causes hearing loss lol so reading books it is. This app works perfectly for me and my lifestyle. A few ads but I don't mind them because I understand that they need them to afford making the app free.

I love books, but I have a hard time holding them nowadays. This is wonderful for me to plug in and just relax and listen while I work around the house. Good selection of literature to choose from, a lot of classics! Best part is its not riddled with ads that force you to constantly check your device in order to keep listening! I love it!

I have downoladed the updates... I just tried to read my first book. It keeps stopping in the middle and not replaying. The phone is sitting on my desk and when it goes dark (lock screen engages) the book stops. When a notification comes in the book stops. When I try to restart it the book will not budge or do anything. I have to go out of your app and start over each time. After 4 or 5 times I give up. I cannot read like this. I am uninstalling this app.

Absolutely fantastic. Everything I've been looking for in a free book app. Book are quick to download, easy to read, and you can even search definitions and wikis with ease. My only complaint would be that sometimes it doesn't bookmark correctly and I have to find where I left off but even that small issue isn't enough to lower my five star rating. Just keep adding more books. I would love to see a larger selection of nonfiction history and maybe even some textbooks. Thanks for making the app!

Love the app and a great selection of audiobooks to listen to while I work. Would totally recommend. Only complaint would be that certain ads (money tree, quicken) will not go away and theres no way to close them that I can find. So I have to keep opening and closing the app over and over until I get to an ad that will close.

I practice reading aloud & wish I could volunteer to play the voices of the characters & narrator for the audio versions on this app, but I don't know how to sign up for that. This has plenty of free classics from back-in-the-day when being able to read & read extensive vocabulary was considered a skill that 50% of Americans, these days, no longer possess. Don't expect the Harry Potter series with JK Rowling's boring, constant "he said, she said" descriptions of her character's responses.

I love this app, I was looking for more aspiring author books, but this one has almost every single classic book there is. Most of which are assigned in schools (for parents with high schoolers!) Which I found awesome, however, I would love it if I could read along with the audio books. I haven't completely explored the app yet, but I'm hoping it has the read-a-long in the kids books. If not then please add that. Great app though, all in all.

Very please!! I was looking for a free book app for a long time and was so excited to find out that this was actually free!!! No monthly payments! I love the audiobooks, only wish there were more (especially classic and Christian). And the ads are definitely in reasonable number, not too excessive. So thankful for this app!

I really love classic novels! This is the best free book app! The adds are the most frequent when you are looking through the books/Audio books to select what you want. There are NO adds during books except when you first long in to your library. If looking for a crassic that isnt listed try the search bar, there is a bunch that aren't listed. I would give it 5 stars if it wasnt for the adds.

This app doesn't let read open and read books. (I have no problem downloading and listening to the audiobooks) Everytime I download and try to open a book it says that "the ebook file is broken, please remove and download again". Not only have I tried that a million times, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3 times now. I really wish I could read these books!

Very limited selection...waste of time, you're better off downloading the "overstock", "hoopla", or "Libby's" App(s), that connect you to your local library and you can check out books (MUCH bigger and better selection, 2 hands down, and 2 feet down, than this app)...and you don't have to worry about returning the borrowed books on their due dates either, a bonus for those of us that are super busy and can't remember, the computer does it for you..
