emails say you can use a virtual card while you wait, you can log into the app, etc. You can't set up your account until the debit card arrives. My card never arrived. I use the Uber, Doordash, Lyft debit cards and their apps with no problem. Love all three. Amazon Flex chose a terrible partner for their debit card. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE AMAZON FLEX DEBIT CARD!!!

I have never been able to actually use it. After successfully installing it, entering my card details, creating my User ID and password? Still unable to access it. The App continues to close now after I enter my correct User ID and password. Support is just as confused. All they do is say, "Reset your password" or "Uninstall and reinstall the App." There is a major disconnect somewhere. I'm receiving emails advising my Monthly Statements are ready. However, I can't access them.

There is no running balance on the transactions and it doesn't show you real/available balance. You can't reconcile your balance because there's no balance to reconcile it with. This is infuriating. There's no 2fa and so many people say they got hacked. The app is called "Debit Card" in Android. Not "Amazon card," not "Flex card," etc. I wasted a bunch of time trying to find it. Cash back etc is great but no running balance is probably a deal breaker for me. Plus no free cash deposits at ATMs

Won't open!! The app was working flawlessly. Now I cannot even login. I constantly get an error. I have closed out and reopened the app, changed my password, Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still won't open! I need to transfer.funds and they are.being help hostage. This has been going on for several days and there is no support help available just the option to recover your username or reset your password. This is extremely frustrating!!

updated review: After waiting 3 weeks for my statement to see why my account was $100 off, I found out they listed the same deposit twice on two different dates in my transactions. I've never seen that in my life. I decided to keep it open just to get my AF payments but I'll never keep a balance ever again. If you get this card, monitor every penny!

Issues with card declining for no reason, not being able to access funds, funds stored in their "vaults" just disappearing for days. Support repeatedly tells you it's a technical issue and they're working on it, but it takes days/weeks. I was refunded $200 from a merchant on October 15th, the Flex Debit card counted it as a purchase and my account is now -$198. Clearly a mistake on their end since they don't let you overdraft, but support is useless, makes up excuses and refuses to escalate.

They are stealing money. I had $42.98 disappear from my account. I added every single transaction on history, ever, and the sum came $42.98 more than what showed as available balance. I called customer service, and they recognized over the phone that there is a glitch that affects many accounts, including mine. They said that in two days they would fix the problem. But they "reviewed" my account and found no problem so I could continue "using it as normal." I'm not the only one.

The only thing good about this debit card is the cash back. But even that wasn't enough to keep me. The trouble started with being unable to link bank accounts, as others have mentioned. Then, in trying to set up the card in my Petsmart account to purchase dog food, it was denied. After calling the bank, they told me to call Petsmart. Petsmart was 100% helpful telling me it was the bank declining this. Called the bank back, they said it was denied for 'security reasons' and they could do NOTHING about it, and I would never be able to use my card at Petsmart. Customer service was also absolutely less than stellar. What the actual......then, my card stopped working at places like 7/11 and gas stations. Thankfully I had signed up for ONE and had that card and was able to use it with zero issues. The only reason this gets 2 stars and not one is the cash back, but even with that, I absolutely do NOT recommend this card/bank.

A system error caused my account to be overdrawn so I have to file a report with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Support repeatedly denied that there is any issue, but I added up my ENTIRE transaction history four times and it zeroed out completely all four times. Not one penny unaccounted for. So why is my account overdrawn? Their support can't explain why, they can only tell me that they believe it's not a technical issue, which is false. It goes beyond being bad, it's criminal.

I have never had a worse experience with a debit card or any other form of financial institution. Balances are constantly incorrect, transactions often are denied regardless of the sufficient balance and the amount that is declined will show as a pending transaction, locking your money up. Now my entire paycheck deposit shows however "due to technical difficulties" card won't work and was told 48 hrs!! I was forced to borrow money to eat, pay bills and have gas to get to work. UNACCEPTABLE

Some kind of a system glitch in their system caused my money to not be available even though it had previously shown to be there. Customer support was nonexistent. I couldn't pay for a car repair which left me stranded. And I missed two delivery blocks because I didn't have my car and they couldn't tell me where my money was. They fixed it two days later. After the damage is done and money was lost. I switched to my normal bank after this.

I can rarely ever open the app and see any of my banking. It keeps saying that they're experiencing difficulties but it's been days if not a week and I can't get in the app. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice and that was after the last time I could get in the app but still needed tech support because features weren't working from my card and that was their only suggestion was two uninstall and reinstall. I did and it hasn't worked at all since

I got the Amazon Flex Debit Card and at first it took a bit of getting used to. I didn't think it was that bad, until just recently. My direct deposit came at different times, I had money placed in pending for up to 2 weeks. I had the rewards where I got cash back, but not on everything I was supposed to. At first I recommended this, now I'm begging people not to use it. I've been fighting for 10 days for money that was placed on hold but canceled yet the bank still wants it pending. RUN!

be careful funds magically disappear on your account had 100 dollars missing from my account spoke to multiple customer support specialists just for them to tell me that it's going to take more than 2 business days to figure out what's going on. absolute worst banking app ever. also they won't credit your account either knowing that you have money missing.

I don't do direct deposit (chose not to reading reviews), but I transfer money from my checking account. It takes sooooooo long to transfer even though they take the money from my bank almost immediately. I like the cash back on gas (the other cash back is almost worthless), but you have to make sure to transfer money way before you think you'll need it. I truly don't understand why it takes so long. But the app itself is simple and easy to navigate.

This app and card are garbage. It won't tell you WHICH ATMs are IN network, and when you try one, you get charged $3 PER TRANSACTION!!! The app WON'T let you connect to your bank so you can just transfer money. It always says it can't do it so that you are FORCED to pay the fees at ATMs or to get cash back, $100 at a time, by buying things at the store. When you try to get 2 withdrawls, it tells you that you have maxed out your limit for the day, even when you are $600 AWAY from that limit. This card is a total waste of time and money! I've had it since March of 2021 and I have spent over $21 on fees, but gotten back about $9 in savings. When you go to the HELP menu, it always ends up on a BLANK page with NO help whatsoever. It's badly programmed, badly implemented, and a bad choice for anyone trying to SAVE money. I reiterate, this app and card are GARBAGE!!! A reply to Green Dot's reply: THE APP DOESN'T DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN IN AND OUT OF NETWORK ATMS!!! THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW WHICH ONE WILL NOT CHARGE YOU!!! AND NOT BEING ABLE TO CONNECT THE BANK ACCOUNT MAKES THE CARD AND APP WORTHLESS FOR PAYING RENT OR OTHER MONTHLY BILLS!!!! IT IS GARBAGE!!!

STAY AWAY!! GreenDot is NOT a reputable company. Your money will be stuck in this useless app because it refuses to connect to ANY external bank account - can't even connect manually because the routing number comes back as invalid. Support is responsive, but useless. They don't understand what the issue is, and keep telling me my transactions are fine 🤦. If you're ok with keeping all your Amazon Flex pay on a shady debit card with questionable security, then go right ahead. I'm done with this.

Great cash back. Nice to not have to pay 50 cents per day of cashouts. Only have 3 issues with this card. First, Amazon Flex promised that payments process "instantly", but the time frame is literally no different than my previous debit card. 2nd, when I try to transfer money from Uber Pro card or Chime to this card, it doesn't work. Finally, costs $4.95 every time I want to load cash onto the card.

This app is absolutely garbage. For some reason, it has the wrong phone number for verification...a very old number I no longer have. Try to have an email sent for verification...that just doesn't work period. I call customer service... they can't change it to the right phone number over the phone. They flagged my account and told me I should be able to verify through email in a few days and it STILL DOESN'T WORK. IT NEVER SENDS THE EMAIL.

Not happy! Started driving for Flex in April and immediately applied for the card. I got an email saying that Green Dot was unable to verify my identity, therefore couldn't issue me a card. The email made no mention of why the problem happened or any solutions. Emailed Flex and got back a phone number to contact GreenDot. But this number is only capable of providing support to existing card holders. I've had a GreenDot Account for 5+ years now identity verification problems? Disappointing!
