2-25 update I used to love this app but half of my next day things don't arrive for 2-3 days (if then) and they can't blame COVID now. I add things into those orders and then the thing I need most doesn't arrive ?? Love the app and I use it daily! It would be nice if when you favorite an item it would give you a drop down menu to put it in the list you want. I like that it shows items you've purchased when you are browsing. I'd like it if the order history showed farther back like it used to .
Can't access our orders for tracking anymore since the recent change. I do a search for my orders and it shows me shipping suggestions. I used to use the app primarily for keeping track of my orders because the web site makes it difficult to tell what's arriving on a particular day and the app used to sort them by the day expected. This was easy, user friendly, and wonderful. Now it's gone. I have no reason to use the app anymore. I can't easily track any packages anymore.
Terrible search algorithm: The app is almost unusable. I have tried and tried to use this site but as the years pass, the search becomes less and less capable. Even 15 years ago I could still use the filters as such. When I searched for an item today, the display photos were massive. Only one item is shown on the screen now. Not only can I not find the correct items, the wrong items take up the whole screen. My eyesight has not changed, nor has my ability to spell or know what I want to buy.
Look, Amazon is Amazon and it's app isn't all that different from it's website from a mobile standpoint. But now they're putting ads into your notification bar. They could section off "deals picked for you" notifs and "delivery update" notifs, but they don't. Lumping these two kinds of notifications together without an option to toggle them is ignorant at best and manipulative at worst. I just need quick delivery updates, nothing else, and I don't need an app that can't or won't do just that.
The Amazon app can be frustrating, especially during Prime Day and Black Friday, where pricing feels deceptive. Items are often marked up before being “discounted” making it seem like you’re getting a deal when you’re not. Cancelling Prime if you don't want it anymore is a hassle and customer support can be hit or miss. If you have an issue with an order sometimes you get the runaround or are told you’ve been refunded, only to find out you haven't forcing you to go through the process again.
Amazon has refused to address problems I first brought up years ago, and now they seem to WANT to be impossible to use. Between facing a disabled "continue" button at the payment options screen when paying with gift cards, not being able to buy Amazon gift cards anymore, having Visa cards repeatedly declined without explanation, and useless customer service, I've had my last straw. They've lost me as a customer and I'm deleting my account. This slow, janky app with no offline isn't any better.
This new update is a disaster. Nothing in my wishlist is in order, and there's no way to filter it for most recent items. Search brings up items totally unrelated to the keywords. Not to mention that nearly all orders that have been transferred to USPS disappear and get lost. I live a few miles from a distribution center. There's no reason to transfer them to the post office. Been a member for over 10 years. Disappointed with how things have turned out these last few years.
You have to click through like 5 different pages before you have the option to even speak to customer service. Nothing qualifies for return/replacement or refund. What's worse, Amazon moderates all the reviews, so you can't even warn others about anything. UPDATE: they've incorporated that stupid AI assistant bs, which will pop up with "suggested questions" every time you click on an item. And 80% of the time, it refuses to go away, making a part of your screen unusable. Utterly infuriating.
Until today, I have never had any problems with the app. However, today I can't choose options on an item. For example I select an item that can come in different colors. While the button is there showing the current color and a down arrow to select another, tapping it does nothing. I had no problems yesterday, and it just started today. I checked for updates, and I updated. I cleared cache. I force stopped the app. Nothing has corrected the issue. If it corrects itself, I will edit this review.
I've been using this app for years and it's solid, but if there's an issue with your order, Amazon is real persnickety and bull-headed about issuing a refund. Suddenly because the item wasn't "sold AND shipped" by Amazon, you the customer have to wait 48 hours or until the seller contacts you about a resolution. Even if you don't want the item anymore, they'll tell you to "contact the seller" and make it a spectacle that they can keep themselves out of unless the seller escalates the issue.
Has a lot of options, some cheap, others price gouged and clearly coming from drop shippers. They also recently got rid of the ability to organize your lists by moving the items around to be in the order you want them to be, and this was never available to mobile in the first place for some reason. Enshittification hitting Amazon hard.
Getting really sick and tired of paying for same day shipping or expecting an order by a certain date and then I'm told AFTER the order is already late that it will be late. Amazon is NOT reliable. I'm about to cancel my subscription and go back to in store shopping. Ridiculous. Please keep taking my money and not holding up your end. Infuriating.
The last two months, Amazon has been messing up orders left & right. Not sure what's going on, but they owe me some money for sending incorrect items in multiple orders. App design makes customer service on these issues ridiculously hard to find. All dealings with specific orders should be available on the same page for orders/reviews. It was a great shopping app until May 2025.
Most orders arrive when the listing indicates. I've been finding many, recently, that will say they will deliver today, but once my order is placed, it changes to a next day or later delivery time. My job requires me to travel. When I place an order based on that delivery time, I need it to be reliably delivered at the time indicated by the item post. Also, some street addresses in complexes have several circles with lot numbers.
went to cancel my order because I found an item cheaper elsewhere. they sent email saying they couldn't cancel my order. 1 min later I got email my items shipped. there's you a life hack to get Amazon to ship your stuff faster I guess. my order was 26 dollars. so in punishment I'll pause my prime membership for 2 months. I will get my money back one way or another. as my stuff is non returnable. and 2 months I won't buy anything else as well. they just didn't want to cancel it.
Thought I'd update this 1 star review with a warning for other users of this app. If you aren't using Amazon, then don't click on the save more on this item AT ALL. I had clicked it, viewed the terms of the savings, realized that means I needed a membership, then removed the item from my cart completely. I didn't buy anything at all (and haven't for over a year) and yet they still charged me for a membership. I didn't proceed to buy anything so why take my money without my permission?!?!

Often late. As in days... Frustrating. Oftentimes I will order a product because they are promising next day delivery. I could have gone to a hardware store or an auto parts store but was being lazy. Or purchased a superior product from Amazon with no rush. But I go all in on the next day delivery and they often fail. The other thing is that a regular seller that is not buying their way to the top through advertising doesn't stand a chance. Would like to turn off sponsored sellers.
Every time I try to pick up my order from a pickup location (that requires Bluetooth to access) the app won't load. I've tried for several days and now my order is being taken back and refunded a second time. The AI assistant is no help and there's no way to request an extension. The unreliability of the app is enough for me to quit using Amazon altogether.

App constantly crashes, has bugs with no fix, & is useless lately. It often changes my multiple address shipping to all going to 1 address. The app is as disappointing as the company, which has gone so far downhill. Prices are not competitive. Almost EVERY time I get something for same or next day delivery, delivery is delayed or lost. Refunds take WAY to long to process. Walmart+ has become a much more reliable and affordable option...
Their payment process is difficult and rough. Their trash system can't even detect the card when scanned. Orders constantly canceled. A real nuisance. I don't know why they're always so difficult. However their delivery service is the best I've ever seen. Extremely punctual. Sometimes even arriving before estimated arrival time. Also items always in tact. I have never experienced an issue with their delivery, but their payment process is the complete opposite!
