I like the card but the app takes forever to show transactions and that does not help with the companies I buy from, especially when it's an airline, I have not received notification of my flights and that's not helpful after 24 hours, do I have a ticket or not? Well, Amex isn't helping and to complete it all, my Avios disappeared from my app but never appeared on my BA account, not good at all, not sure what's going on but right now I feel like not using this credit card again 😕
unclear what the expected payment is to clear the balance and unable to set up direct debit from the app. This resulted in an interst charge I wasn't expecting. Lacking basic UI/UX considerations that have become standard in banking apps for a better user journey (putting recently used bank at the top for payments, rather than scrolling every time for example).
Very easy to navigate and reliable. It has a prompt notification. I love the fact that every activity made on is well calculated. It offers discounts from various brands which increase your avios points. Fantastic! I wish the total balance which takes a bit of time to update could update faster. Other than that it's an Excellent App. I will defo recommend!
Easy to use app on android platform, allows fingerprint entry to speed up login. Only had card for a couple of weeks but have used help desk when I first got the card, v helpful and friendly rep. Update, now used the app for a year, still think it a great app. Now been using app for over a year still impressed with it You do need to carry another card as not everyone takes amex although most do. You do need to spend at least 3000 a year to get any money back. Still a great app Jan/26

The app is quite intuitive and easy to navigate. The customer service is one of the main unique selling points. They are very helpful.
I’ve had a positive experience using my American Express card. It offers excellent customer service, strong security features, and quick response to any issues. I particularly value the rewards program, which provides cashback and travel points, as well as the purchase protection and extended warranty benefits. Overall, it has been reliable both for everyday spending and international transactions.
Solid app, never crashed, but... Not great from an accessibility aspect -- notably the tiny mid-grey letters on light-grey background during registration. Some limits on functionality; it appears that setting up a direct debit cannot be performed solely within the app.
Brilliant app. Only snag is that there is no option to reduce your credit balance with a payment planned for a future date, currently you can only make a payment on the day that you are on the app.
Unusable app. I keep getting logged out for "5 minutes of inactivity" while trying to speak with an agent in the app. I send a message, they respond a minute later, I get logged out. I log back in and connect with a new agent, they respond to my message, a minute later I get logged out
sometimes says error and recently not activated. and if want you send a photo for the costume service i can't .only chat available
Not consistent. I used to be able to make payments from the app. When I click on my bank, nothing happens.
pretty intuitive and has good functionality. linked cards could be improved.
very poor app, can't use it to buy airplane tickets as the sur charger is is greater than the tickets themselves.
I can't login with my phone either to the app or the website, despite knowing all my credentials. If I freeze my card it continues regardless to accept some transactions and returns automatically to unfrozen after 7 days. This isn't a provider who treats my security as a priority.
The AMEX app is easy to use. Recent purchases and refunds are displayed in an easy to read way. Statements are readily available to read or download. Paying a statement is fairly easy by debit card or bank transfer.
app logs out within minutes of starting. Unreliable. Cumbersome. Chat function is not only slow, but the general team give initial incorrect advice, & are unable to pass chat history to travel team. Wholly unsatisfactory set-up for a prestige company.
We use the cards most days, we get and use the benefits the cards offer and of course we collect the points
There is no real time for debits just for credits. Every other bank can do it but not Amex? They'll show you have x money in the account but then decline a payment for £1 because there's not enough in there. Then you realise they haven't deducted the £20 from yesterday still. Talking to customer service is no use either because they won't believe anything they are told, and will decline every request. Not helpful at all.
