This is (was) one of my favorite strategy games, starting with it's predecessor, and I can't recommend the gameplay enough. Unfortunately, this version has bugs that have gradually worsened to the point where I almost never get to finish a user level before it crashes because of a server disconnect, or the end turn button disappears, or input stops working. In any case, all progress on the current level is lost. At present, the game has become unplayable due to "offline mode".
I love the simplicity of this game. I have been playing it for a long time and appreciate it. The online function is nice. The bugs however are very frustrating. When playing single player games (user made maps or compaign) it pretty much always kicks me offline and there is a 50% chance when I am kicked offline that I will lose the ability to control my app.
Love this game. Win through diplomacy, war, or economy. I've won a game without producing a single unit, by just buying the AI's land. I would like to see the subsidies option that is in the other Antiyoy, but it isn't included in this game. This version also seems more clean and updated than the original one. Keep producing games, because every single one you've made are the best ones ever.
Very good but it seems some players may have found ways to cheat. In a recent game an opponent matched me move for move, which means we had the same amount of money at the end of a turn. Yet they somehow destroyed my settlement with multiple advanced units that they should not have been able to afford, and built an advanced tower. The math doesn't add up. I think opponent income should be seen at the very least.
Don't write it off immediately. There's more to it than meets the eye. It's the mobile strategy game I wanted and didn't know existed. I saw a recommendation for this while searching for strategy games. Fast-paced or slow, AO being turn based lets you catch your breath. Or attend to real life. Difficult but rewarding early on. Nice variety of maps. AI provides a challenge to new players. The UI is easy to navigate. Good tutorials. SFX fit the game well, not overdone. Try the game!
One of the best games online. Simple, easy to learn, strategic & fun. But there are some annoyances. One is that the server will disconnect midgame, prompting the AI to move (poorly) for one player or the other, and basically ensure defeat for that player. Another is that the money is miscalculated (move after move), but corrects itself by retracting investments you've just made, leaving precious little time to complete your move. ~1/5 of games are affected. Still no bug fix, months later.
The game is amazing. It's a bit weird with the differences between this and the original, but I appreciate that it's not just a copy. One suttle thing I would change is making the area where you can click for the economy a bit smaller, as it gets in the way of tiles right below it or just have player be able to scroll farther in each direction.
Really great game, I love how easy and simple the strategy is, and a nice time killer. But recently I've been trying to reload the game it has it on "connecting to server" I would wait 20 minutes wait and no changes. I've uninstalled it multiple times and restarted my phone try ing to get it work. Please tell me a way to fix it, or how this happened. But other then that ,good game please fix this bug
AMAZING game. Played the original on and off for forever and now playing the online version (cause I lost my saves in the classic). This game is so amazing and fun and provides pretty much endless game time. Levels get harder early on which is good because it means u won't get bored :) Btw, the dev is very active on discord and is always ready to help. Lend your support and try out the other games (they're fun too)
I must admit I got hooked on playing the classic version. When I found out that you were working on an online game that made me very happy. I really appreciate your efforts over the last few updates. It's so refreshing to find engaging games that are not riddled with annoying ads popping up or hobbled intro version unless you pay. This makes me want to donate to the dev to show support. bravo!
A good start! I've been playing the single player version of antiyoy for years now. It's exciting to have a new way to play! The dev is very responsive and appreciative of feedback. Hopefully it becomes more stable and feature rich over time. In particular, I'd love to have a long-form version, where players can take a day+ to do their move.
The game is in beta, so I'm not going to heavily criticize it, but it is at a nice start. The game itself works fine besides a few early bugs and the game will get better hopefully as more features from the original are added. One small gripe I have is that there is no quick build feature, which in my opinion is way better. Also, with the revamped diplomacy a tutorial would be useful. Other than that, this game is solid and I cannot wait for more updates.
Simple yet addictive. You have to manage your income while building units to conquer against other players. The multiplayer works really great! Also, no annoying ads or IAP. Dev Yiotro is really responsive and makes a lot of effort in making sure the game is enjoyable. Heaps of levels including great community-made ones. Check out his other games! I'll definitely buy the premium version if it's available. Keep up the great work!
Fun game, but incredibly disappointed when the game goes into offline status. Basically the level you were completing 'freezes', and there's no way to save the progress, so you have to start again. Super annoying and otherwise detracts from a great game. The only way to avoid is to start a level, switch off or change wifi/data signals and try to restart the level.. but only works sometimes. Needs a fix asap.
It's a good game, with some changes in the gameplay and the app itself, it could be a great game. The most annoying thing is that the connection with the server seems quite unstable and for some reason when you go offline, it seems the whole app turns to the offline og Antiyoy app. Very weird and frustrating. The gameplay is minimalistic and with a few twists (mainly) in the diplomatic mode, it will be fabulous cuz I already love it. Hope to see it grow its mechanically and its fanbase more!
A good progression from the original but it is missing some features. For the skirmish, it would be good for each player to have more than one starting area, especially for larger maps. For the user levels it would be good to have some of the archived games available offline. Also in the single player games, they only end when all players are conquered. This is different from the original game. It is quite tedious when you have to finish off small territories around the map.
Overall I find it a fun game, however there is a bug which unexpectedly I didn't find in any of the reviews. I mostly play Quick Match, and every now-and-then the game just pauses with no timer running and the screen is frozen. Though you can send chat messages but no gameplay is possible. Kindly fix this! Would give 4 stars if it gets fixed. Edit: In the last few days, this issue has gone down significantly. Though not solved 100% but now it is a rare event. Hence as I promised, giving 4 stars!
Very good competitive game. Only cosmetics in shop and no ads, so you can enjoy gameplay for free without being hindered in any way. Downsides: server is not very stable, tutorial is not really helpful and matchmaking often gives you opponents from top of the ladder. But taking in account how hard it is to find completely F2P competitive game, I give it 5 stars anyway. EDIT: after longer time with the game there is another downside. The starting player has big advantage in game.
Great game but could do with tweeks. It's a very simple and fun game to play with randoms or friends, the custom match making allows for some fun and unique games with you and your friends tk enjoy. However there's one massive problem, the server, for some strnage reason the servers will stop working at 17:30 UTC. I have tried restarting the game, uninstalling It and nothing happens, if it were not for this one glaring problem, this game would definitely be 5 stars, but all in all, great game.
low-fi but a great strategy game. rudimentary, but solid
