The latest update on Android made a complete mess of the UI, particularly when you save a message, etc, the message isn't automatically moved to the proper folder and it's complete garbage, especially when I pay monthly for an aol subscription. If this isn't fixed in 48 hours, I'll be canceling my subscription and using other email apps I have. I've been an aol user for 30 years and if this is the careless, untested updates you're pushing out, then I have no option but to switch email apps.

I like the features of this app for managing my mail and organizing my contacts. I did have an issue with my fast path icon, not working. The customer service rep spent 30 minutes working with me to fix the problem. I've had AOL for over 25 years and have only needed customer service twice. I could not be happier with the service I received; 5 stars plus!

The app was great for the last 8 years, but recently there has been problems with selecting emails in bulk. All the emails selected have check boxes checked. But then if you unselect some of them intentionaly, the app will randomly unselect others that you wanted left alone. This unwanted behavior means it is slower to clean up your mailbox. That said, the app is still serviceable, and works well enough for now historic old AOL email hosting.

I hate the new changes to the app today, I used to enjoy using the mobile app up until today, can't get rid of ads in my emails inbox, even though I opted out of everything, it's so invasive, distracting and unnecessary, I usually read the news articles but that stops today as well, the lay out is so outdated and unorganized. And a few days later when the app updated on my tablet , come to find out the new app is not compatible with tablets. I want my app to go back to the previous version.

Most of my folders disappeared! It is very annoying that most everything can only save in a generic saved folder. How can I find my emails that are in folders that no longer exist? And, when you save an email, the undo botton is under the compose button. The app always opens to the news feed. I want my emails, not the news. This app is very poorly designed and not user friendly.

I didn't think it was possible, but the AOL has gotten even worse on Android. If the "ads that look like emails" weren't bad enough, now they are inserting "ads underneath the email list" that you see, as you scroll. They are completely awful. AOL - please re-enable sync with the Google Mail app so I can use that instead of your sad, thirsty app that is clearly more focused on collecting ad impressions instead of allowing users to read their mail.

The update is horrible! I'd really appreciate the old version back! Anytime I saved items to an ongoing draft, with the old version it always worked but with this version it has never worked so far! Please give us back the old version! Also, folders which I have had for years, some are now missing. That's really unacceptable! Something else which I just noticed, when you search for particular words in the app, if you scroll you'll find the word but it does not highlight like in the old version.

I've used and loved this app for years, but what I assume was a recent update has made it barely usable for composing emails. Sometimes, the screen jumps to the bottom, and sometimes the cursor, but either way, it's impossible to keep up and compose a coherent email. I know others have reported this, but I wanted to add to those, hoping to up the sense of urgency for fixing this!

I much prefer the older version of the app. Folders were more easily accessible. It would also actually acknowledge if I read or deleted an email. Now when I check my inbox on desktop, emails I marked as read or deleted in the app still remain in my inbox. Finally, it seems there is no longer any way to attach a full-sized image file via this app. All images appear in the email body, no matter how they are attached, and they are shrunk down accordingly.

What is wrong with this app!!!!! I've used for a long time, but all of a sudden the cursor wants to go to the bottom of the text if it is a thread, and then the keyboard disappears! REPEATEDLY. It is impossible to write an email this way, and becoming impossible to use my AOL email! PLEASE FIX ALREADY! And in the meantime, the app and email are unusable.

This updated version of the app is not great. Everytime I click on a specific email to open, it opens a different email and marks the one I intended to open as read. I have to keep closing and opening the app. It is so frustrating!! It also took me a while to figure out how to switch between folders. It was not intuitive at all. You should have never changed the old app. It worked just fine!

AOL decided to revise their app, NOT my choice. It just happened, no choice involved. It's very poor at best. When you open the app, it goes to AOL news, not your email. Ads are there all the time. Not easy to delete a bunch of emails how it was first revised, but you can modify and get rid of the stupid icons for each email. Lost more than half my folders. Thanks for nothing AOL. Another reason for me to move on. Don't bother.

Major issues over the past few weeks. First, I was not able to actually read my emails thru the app. They simply would not load after clicking on an email. The circle on the email page just continued to spin. I had to open the web aol to read my emails though the app would notify me of a new email. And then twice the notifications on the AOL app just stopped working for days at a time. I have to keep periodically checking the app to see missed emails. I have installed and uninstalled at least 4 times in a month and cleared the cache and forced stop. I've had aol for over 25 years but the fact that the app continues to mess up tells me it may be time to walk away. I made sure all my settings on my Android phone are correct for notifications. It is the app that's not working and it's frustrating.

**Update: Uninstalled app & restarted my phone & installed again. First couple days seemed better with smaller gaps, but it's gotten increasingly worse, now back to where it was. I can show you screenshots of gaps in the time, even after closing & refreshing.** The app doesn't load all my emails. There are always gaps & hours of missing emails. In order to see all my emails, I have to sign on to my computer. It didn't used to be this way. Whatever you did, I hope you fix it. Very inconvenient.

What did you guys do? Using this app can be a pain enough, but for the last week, the search function has become worse. When I select and start reading an email from my search results, usually I can just hit my phone's back button to return to the list (you don't provide a close button on emails). NOW when I hit back, it goes all the way back to the inbox or search box, and I have to start my search all over again. From the beginning. It's ANNOYING and inefficient to say the least. PLEASE FIX.

Last update... no good!!! I can't believe the update has ruined aol for me. I have been a loyal user as far back as when we pd for this and used cds to download it. This update keeps bouncing the email you are writing or responding to down to the bottom of the page. I don't have time to play chase the cursor. It typically goes to the bottom of the email leaving you to scroll to the top of the email and find where you left off, tap, type. I will wait a short time for an update to fix this.....

I recently upgraded my phone and unfortunately ended up with a very awkward and difficult AOL upgrade. My former AOL was clean, easily managed, and did everything I could need it to do. The new version has extremely limited options in the settings, so there's little one can do to modify its functionality. Also, for some reason any file I attach to an email ends up in the body of the mail, and not as an actual attachment. That's extremely frustrating, and I can find no option to change it.

This app is now very difficult to navigate. After having used the old version since the beginning, more than 25 years, it is confusing to find ways around the different things. If I want to keep an email as new I first have to find where it has gone, then click on the more dots, then click on "mark as unread" which will then move the email back to new mail. The old version you only had to click on the envelope to keep as new. I DO NOT use Gmail and don't like it's layout so don't imitate it!

I've been having some issues with writing emails lately on my Samsung Galaxy S22. I'll be starting to write an email or respond to one and it moves to the bottom of the page. I can't even see what I'm writing which, it a big problem! The other is that if I hit the comma, lots of times it puts in a period. I've been using this app for a long time and have never had any issues with it until recently! Hope you can fix the big issue!

App Won't open. Update: It opens now, but something is Wrong with it because when trying to write an email, or anything an other pages or apps, it keeps scrolling the page down While you're trying to type, causing you to have to Keep scrolling back Up may to finish your email. So aggravating!! Please fix asap, as this has been going on for quite a while. If this can't be fixed, then I'll have No choice but to find another email app to use. Thank you.
