App no longer functions to delete recordings. As of today I can no longer delete recordings from my local storage memory card. I select all recorded clips to delete then get a "failed to delete" error. I noticed after the latest update on 9/11/25 that I wasn't getting notifications in a timely manner when someone arrived at my back door, they would show up an hour or more later. I should have stuck with a Eufy doorbell and app. I've never had a problem with it.

So nice when it works. It's so unbelievably slow to load anything, if it actually does. It freezes, trying to load events notifications is ridiculous. Almost never works trying to enter them through the event notification. You have to close the app and just load it through the normal main screen, and still either doesn't work (just sits there and loads) or it doesn't work at all... Like I said at the beginning, it's nice when it works, but this app definitely needs some attention.

It started out okay. clear and the placement of the solar kept it charged after being outside, the solar harness is weak and no longer keeps it in position. this means my device doesn't get charged. this is not a device built to be outside even though they advertise it this way. when it is fully charged, the video lags and no longer captures the entire event even though parameters have been set. they like everyone else is slowing down so you can be on their cloud. worthless!!

Half the time when it says there is an event, you go into the app and nothing is there. you have to fully close the app and restart it. it doesn't matter how close the camera are to the router. live viewing takes absolute ages. its basically useless. I had a man outside of my shop building going back and forth. the app notified me that someone was there. I could see a snap shot of the recording but the video wasnt there. then i tried live view. just loaded for 10 minutes. ridiculous

The camera/app have been great, but the alarm button is in such a bad spot. It's at the bottom of the screen with the light, sound, SD/UHD, record & capture image options. It's placed 2nd to the left, between the ligh & sound options. It's so easy to set off the alarm & it's loud. I have a hard time shutting it off as well. A red alert pops up & if you're trying to select the option at the bottom to turn it off, it ends up going another round, or more. It'd nice to have it separated.

As many on the reviews have said the camera app is really slow when you are trying to view events. Some times I have to force stop the app and clear the cache to load the video. My frustrarion is also with the cameras the cameras some times disconnect from the wifi and it says that it has lost connection. My wireless router is very close to the cameras. The app needs improvement.

When it works it's great but the app crashes a lot which is really unfortunate when you're using it as a baby monitor. We'll wake up in the middle of the night and the connection has been lost but no matter how many times you refresh and close the app it won't reconnect. You finally have to restart your phone and even then it doesn't always work. It crashes on average about twice per night when the app is open constantly. When it's closed and reopened it won't connect 30% of the time.

it works....sometimes. usually i have to exit the app multiple times and restart it in order to see the footage or a live view(think 3-5 minutes for each camera). 'sometimes' is unacceptable. ive had these cameras for over half a year now and its been an issue since day one. 'sometimes'....im looking out from our house myself. if i wanted 'sometimes' i would just not have cameras at all. auso needs to fix the issues with their app and products and maybe i could recommend them. not happy.

I installed SolarCam D1 Classic Kit a couple of months ago. I installed the app on iPad and my Android mobile. So far everything works great, It looks the connection is good & I can monitor any movements from my workplace, and home & check the records. I think the only issue is they should put an AAA battery as a backup on the camera base cause sometimes I receive an alert that says if you use the camera lots you will go out of power. In general, I am happy with the style & the performance.

Bought these cameras on prime day to replace another brand that I'd had for years. These cameras are so much better. I love that they're solar and the tracking option is a great feature. I love that I can rotate them to get a different view if needed. Had some technical issues at the beginning but support was great and everything is running fine now.

This app is easy to use, intuitive, and works great for controlling and managing Aosu video cameras. The camera device setup was made even easier with the app taking a step by step, instructive approach to get the system up and running. The response time from receiving a notification to loading an event clip and/or going to live feed is much faster than any other system I have used. The settings are also easy to find and adjust while the camera control (pan-tilt) works with no lag. Great app!

Update: This system cannot work if you have filled the capacity on the base. The system is advertised that this doesn't happen, it rewrites the prior. You have to rewrite the memory card for it to function. First: This used to work great. the last two updates have made it completely irrelevant. you have to restart everything to get views on one event and then less than a minute later, you cannot view anything. If it is not fixed fast, I am returning the whole system and deleting everything.

So far, my experience has been great. The app allows you to view and name all your cameras and sends alerts/notifications instantly. It records events for each camera, which you can review and save, delete or just keep (they will be replaced with new recordings eventually). You can also view the live camera feed at any time. It does get updated, so that's good and it seems to work really well.

GLITCHY! Worked great at first but now it crashes constantly. I have to keep logging out and uninstalling the app to and reinstall it. It freezes on the camera feeds and isn't able to show live video. After the 5th time of uninstalling just to install it again, it gets very annoying. Please fix this!

Every time I try to connect to the camera it fails and takes at least 30s to a minute to connect to live feed even in smooth mode. What's the point in having security cameras when by the time you've connected, the person has gone? it's not my wifi cos the signal strength is saying 80% and I can access my router 50 feet away from my house. The camera alerts me and captures events immediately so it has to be this app. When it works it's ok but useless if you can't view events as they're happening.

edit:as of 12/19/25 the app has stopped being useful,it now automatically loads motion events(why!?)at least give us the option to turn off automatic loading of files,I'm trying to record an event at 1130 am,and I get to the event ,it loads an event from 930am every time im trying to record the 1130am event!so frustrating how an app can go bad so quick!2/24/26Was a good app,gets worse every update!!now they've put a "file storage full"alert to try to get you to buy cloud storage!

This app worked great before the company changed it. I have four aosu solar cameras and they cameras are great, but the new format of the app is garbage. The company is manipulating the customer to pay for cloud storage to get the full functions to work. That was not a problem when I first purchased the first cameras worked fine, now the company wants you to get their super expensive cloud service to get the full settings of the cameras. It's false advertising and Amazon should look into it

The app does not allow you to delete the hundreds of notifications for every action. Clearing cache will not either. Since I am not paying for cloud storage, they should have no right to my video. This wastes memory on my phone & there is no option to turn any of the activity logs off. I fon't need to be told every day for every camera that I deleted something etc.

I absolutely love the Aosu cameras. I have four 3k solar cameras installed at my house and I have three indoor 3k D1se wired cameras. Installation of the cameras was very easy and I am very satisfied with the quality of the products they seem they can withstand the brutal cold weather elements here in Canada. The instructions for set up were very simple and the app is extremely user-friendly and has a lot of options to tweak the performance of the camera and was not overwhelming at all.

I have been using aosu app and cameras for a while now and I am happy with it. I have a doorbell, indoor and outdoor cameras and I use free service with them because it has enough functions for my needs. I get notifications instantly without delay and due to cameras being 2k video quality is amazing. I had issues with doorbell sound initially and aosu team sorted the issue quickly. I feel like whenever I contact their customer service they are quick to respond and help.
