it was written into our court order that we have to communicate through this app when it was free. now they suddenly decide to start a very expensive monthly subscription. it's complete BS taking advantage of parents who have no choice. I've also had various issues with features of this app for years now. the calendar is useless, it's so tedious, just use a Google calendar. And the payment option on this app doesn't work, I requested help on this issue a long time ago and it was never resolved.
Changed to paid only, pretty disappointing. Update: Saying you are giving people free trials doesn't change that you were pretty much the last co-parenting app that was free, & that is no longer the case. Especially since I only recently started needing a co-parenting app for a difficult situation, and now I will have to pay money because of a situation out of my control. It's great you've been an app for 9 years, but that doesn't change that you are now going to paid only options.
For a free app I guess it is hard to complain. However here is my take. Some of the functions are not very intuitive and hard to find. Also. I have been using the notes portion of the app like a journal. When I tried to print the extensive notes I had taken there was no option to download them. There is motion for expenses and other item all listed on the same level as the notes but you cant download notes. This is a no go for many that want to keep everything in one app so crosscheck is easy.
This app started out great, then all of a sudden, I couldn't log in. I contacted 3 different people through their help/Support and none of them could fix my problem. They didn't even really try. They told me to do the standard things: clear cache, un-install/reinstall, etc., but none of that worked and when I told them that, they just stopped communicating with me. I even created a new account and the same thing happened regarding the app issues. It seems to be an Android app version problem.
Was working good up until 2 weeks ago. Video calls echo back on my end. Which makes it difficult when a 3yr old hears himself and starts screaming just to hear the noise. Support was no help, just ended up saying it must be the speakerphone. Problem is it happens on both my cell and an ipad. So really nothing has been resolved. App is free, thats the only good thing.
Love the app. Lots of glitches. This past week I keep getting no internet errors when I try to do anything on it despite me having internet. I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it won't even let me log in because I'm getting a no internet error. Sometimes it won't let me add events to the calendar and just gives me a loading symbol.
It's Free - I'll stick with it. But it's not the most user friendly and doesn't have much in the way of instructions.. I would love to see a 'Search' features in the chat section. Also, there is nothing that shows whether or not you have shared something with a co-parent and confirms whether or not they've seen it/accepted it. I think this would be an invaluable feature. Additionally, the child profile sections could be a little more user-friendly. Once you have more than one 'note' in a section, you can't always scroll to the next or last note. UPDATE: so it appears that you can search but you have to act like you want to export the chats first. It was not user-friendly and there are no directions. The developer stated you can see confirmations if sent requests but tha is not what I was referring to. I believe that we should see confirmation of everything that is sent to and received by the co-parent so that we have a record of what notes, medical items, etc were shared and received so there is not question of what items were shared/received and when.
This looks like a very handy app but fails to deliver. It is full of calendar glitches, for example: every other weekend showed up as Sunday through Thursday for odd dates that did not correspond to the schedule that I input. I messed with the options for longer than I care to admit and was not able to get it to make a correct calendar. I didn't even get to the other options, though I had really hoped that the visitation swap option would work for us.
been trying to login and keep getting an error that the server is unable to process the request. Checked my Internet, that is fine. Checked my app is current. That is fine. Reached out to my ex, she is getting same error and having same problems on her end. Tried your "contact us" link, that isn't working either. The lack of contact, the developer's dismissive "we know, but it's just a few people" is insulting and useless. Certainly not reassuring at all. I am seeking a replacement for this app.
I've updated the app, however I am still unable to do video calls over normal service that I have to use my wifi to have a stronger connection. We should have the ability to screen record our video calls. In case something occurs during video call and courts and lawyers would be able to have access to video calls. The app needs more work and figure out the kinks.
It is what it is. The export messages feature is very helpful. Video chat is horrible. Most of the time it freezes after a few seconds and you can't hear or see anything. Additionally, the video is cropped so it shows less than say FaceTime or Google Duo. On top of that, there are black bars covering about 1/3 of the screen on the top and bottom. If you have smaller kids, also be prepared there are no filters for the video chat. Not a huge deal, but even more reason to use a different app.
Been using it for months and all of the sudden it started saying "no internet connection" which I knew was not correct. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall but now when I get to the add phone number to receive a verification link I also get the "no internet connection". Now I've lost months of communication between my ex and I that would've been helpful in my up coming court. I would not recommend this app, it was a total waste of time.
Could be A LOT better. We are required to use this app by court order but sometimes it's almost impossible for a call to go through. We'll go back and forth calling each other MULTIPLE times until we can hear each other on both ends. The video chat option is pointless because you can't use speaker phone volume so you would have to have the phone to your ear to hear them talk. It's very frustrating sometimes.
Poor. Rather than complete video calls, continually prompts for access to a Bluetooth device. I can neither make nor accept calls without that message appearing. I don't use a bluetooth device. Major net negative. When I try to make video calls, it also says "calling null." Based on user comments and creators' copy-paste replies, seems like the app creators have little ability / interest in supporting the app or working out glitches.
It's a great app and it's free. However my biggest complaint is that the calendar needs work. There's no way to color code different entries on a single calendar. From the looks of it..you have to create multiple calendars with each its own color (parenting time, events, appointments etc). I don't see how you can connect all of these to be on the SAME calendar. If there is a way, the app doesn't show you how to do it. Better tutorials needed!
Looks good but doesn't work. Too many glitches. Using it for communication but it won't send /receive messages reliably. We only used it a few weeks, didn't get to calendar, etc Specifics: I get a notification that I have a new message but when I click on the notification nothing happens. I open the app but the new message doesn't show. I have to navigate out of the conversation, go back in, scroll down. A few messages would not send or took several hours. Same for co-parent.
Doesn't function most of the time. I can't delete duplicate expenses. I can't get the reimbursement portion to work, just keeps saying my credientials are incorrect, the parenting calendar won't work, says the drop off time has to be later than the pick up time. Doesn't matter what time you put in and it won't go through. This was recommended by my lawyer, can't find videos of how to use it and been messing with it for a month already. Ready for something new to try.
I loved the app at first but now it's getting to be a pain. First off I keep running into these like breaks in service where nothing gets sent to the other party. I've had multiple days I've been unable to contact my son while he's with his father. Secondly it's not sending me any notifications other than when a new message is sent/missed call. No calls pop up if I'm not actively on the app. In app notifications are also stuck at 2 for my messages even when there are no new ones.
*Response to Devs, Ihad to roll back to the previous version as .434 didn't load at all. App is extremely temperamental, notifications sometimes work despite having the app set to run in the background and without battery optimization. In very many instances, you don't know you have a message until you open the app. Additionally messages sometimes won't open in the app and it requires you to close the app and re-open it. My ex has an iPhone and has the same issues I do with android. Emailed dev
Missing MANY of the iPhone features. Only shows dots on the calendar if you have an event that day. iPhone version has a line spanning across the days and ends roughly around the time you set. Example: if your possession "event" ends at 9am, the line does not take up the full day in the calendar. Also unable to make recurring 1st 3rd and 5th weekends on Android version. It's there in iPhone version.
