Now charges a service fee for direct bank transfers, so there is no longer ANY payment option that doesn't include additional fees!! I've never seen ANY other company tack on a fee like this. Other places only charge if you pay by credit card! On top of that, they still bill management companies monthly to use their product. Corporate greed, plain and simple. Their software isn't even very good. Do not support these guys!
Would rather keep books on paper than use AppFolio. Appfolio prides itself on being an accounting based property management company when in reality they don't have a clue on bookkeeping/accounting. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to buy their product including stating it replaces quickbooks. To say it has been hell on the accounting side is an understatement and I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. The onboarding process was also a nightmare.
terrible customer service. had money fraudulently stolen. Appfolio never followed through. you cannot call them. only AI help without followup. they do fine until your problem is unusual, then do nothing. think
God i hate having to use this garbage app. I can only acces my account through the link sent by email. when I try to access it through the app it says it's an invalid username or password.
what a surprise you screwed up the app again another update that was botched. now when opening the app the top status bar on the phone is no longer visible!
unfortunately a bug has existed for over a year where an inspection of a common element cannot be created from the app. it's only limited to individual units. so if you want to inspect a roof or the grounds or exterior siding and have attached to the property and not a unit- you are out of luck. I've submitted feedback on this multiple times here in the app and also Appfolio support. beyond patient for many months. the crazy thing is that property inspections used to work many versions ago.
I've been a Property inspector for quite some time now, the biggest issue that I find with appfolio is... I'm going to doing an inspection and when I take pictures and they're supposed to be automatically uploaded to the file of the apartment and or the unit that I'm looking at. The pictures will literally vanish. You cannot find them anywhere on my phone. Or if it does try to upload the picture and can't, the word " retry" comes up almost every single time. Several times
I've been forced to use this app for my work for six years. I've emailed, I've chatted with your AI bot and even back when you had real human people on the other end. I don't remember one time I got any real help with an issue. I can't remember an update that improved things for my workday. This app gets harder to use via phone every year. When your actual company name begins with the word app and companies pay for your "app" it seems like you'd have an it person who could respond to issues
Decent app The only thing I would improve would be allowing for this app to send notifications instead of only email notifications. Also, I would have it so that if you click off the little black text box, that sometimes pops up. It would make the black text box disappear. This is for both Android and Apple phones.
How are you going to fail at a simple form when literally the whole point of your app is submitting forms? Buggy. Tedious. It's the 21st century! You can't get a simple form right? And why would the default setting be "save my credit card info"? Like I trust you to keep my info safe when you can't even perform your basic function. I will be alerting the management company and my agent of your very poor rating and my bad experience! Garbage!
This app constantly loses where you were and makes you start all over again, on top of that their blue ai button is constantly in the way. Absolutely does not work offline. If my employer did not use this service, I would not. I will be reaching out to see if we can find an alternative that works better for our needs.
As a contractor for a property mgmt. company, This app is very unuser friendly because, you have to sign in wich it does not allow you to do. Says there is no account associated with this email (yes it is). I do like that you can recieve and invoice work order all in one place. On the web you have to go through too many steps to see the notes, invoices, and or multiple work order contents. Very time consuming. This app has a lot of potential. Hopefully the right improvements will be made
I am still somewhat new but so far it has been wonderful!! Update: I've used it much much more! It is not as streamlined as I would like. It takes a minute to get the hang of it all. I am only using the app for leasing purposes so there is a lot on here I am not familiar with. I do love the marketing generator! It is easy & innovative!
worthless for field techs. there is no alert system when a work order is created. So unless your glued to your phone, or someone tells you, AppFolio is at the mercy of your convenient time of checking. many of us use it for this reason. my 1 star rating is based on this. very sad as even email and games can do a simple pop up notification. if you have techs in the field, do not use this as they will NOT BE ALERTED WHEN NEW WORK ORDERS ARE CREATED. this creates unprofessional image.
Well, I liked the app the one time it would let me log in and use it. Ever since then it's telling me "Invalid user name or password." Which is just stupid because I haven't changed either of those things, and the same information let me log in on the website. It's a good idea but it needs to work a lot better than it does at present.
Great idea, if it actually worked. Got an email with my monthly statement. But when I tried to log into see the details my password didn't work. When I try to do the password, reset. It sent me an email saying that no account with my email is in their system...... But they literally sent me an email with that month's statement....
Very nice app makes it easy to perform functions in AppFolio on the go from my phone or tablet. Would give it 5 stars if it also produced notifications of new or updated requests and text messages, like what appear on my computer screen when I am at my desk.
Starting yesterday I can no longer upload inspections through the app. When I click "new inspection" it goes to a new screen with some "offline inspection" with new choices and an error message about restarting the app, and loaded pictures don't go anywhere. The app was great and I use it every day for work in the field. Please fix the new inspection function on the app.
Unfortunately this app is not what it's chalked up to be. May be good for the property management. Not good for the customers. I can only log in through the browser . They have unauthorized use to my account but just takes what they want. This the second month and the issue have not been resolved.
Great, except not able to open supported links. Get a work order, or a link to a report, clicking on the email link guides you to login via chrome/safari using text security code. Then it loads appfolio within the browser. Why can't the app just open the links to the emails that it itself is sending to me? This severely hobbles mobile use for maintenance supervision.
