I really wish my "downloaded" music didn't constantly get frozen in buffering. Every hour or so I have to take out my phone and skip a song that refuses to play. Even if it wasn't downloaded I have great signal most of the time, so it's obviously a problem with their UI/music player. It's been broken for the last five years, so I doubt it'll get fixed any time soon.
Audio and algo are good but I like the UI for Spotify better, apple music feels a lot more clunky. I also don't like that you can't use the app on mobile as a controller for other devices on android. The app is also not optimized for Android in general. I often have to restart my whole phone because apple music refuses to play my music, which is especially annoying when I'm driving. So, I have to wait until my car comes to a complete stop to restart my phone and GPS just to listen to music. 👎
When I last used Apple Music on Android in 2015, the app barely worked and I quickly gave up with it. In 2026, it is far better and at the time of writing I am on a 3 month free trial, but I am seriously considering keeping it after. I do wish it was able to locate and play on device music which would make things a lot easier for me, rather than having another app to do this specific task.
Good music, transitions to songs are lowkirkluenly amazing, and the price is the best part. only 11.99. that's better than the Spotify which is trying to increase the price again after being 7.99 to 12.99 and the next one will be 14.99. I'm scared of Spotify. the animations for the songs move at the same time and the beats feels more effective on apple music.
I think Apple Music is one of the best music streaming apps out there. Especially because of all the radio shows, interviews, playlists, and compilations to explore genres and artists I've never heard of before. I also really like managing my collection with it because, for example, I can go to an album, add the songs I like the most to the Favorites playlist, add the ones I only kinda like to my library, and it's super easy to access both. Super useful for a music nerd like me!
Everything was great until a couple months ago, the browser stopped working. It would just continuously load and then bring me to a page that said im offline and I can only search my library, even when I had internet. I double checked my wifi connection, even going onto apps that I knew required internet. Now Im stuck with the same songs and Im not able to add or search for new songs or artists. Please try to help me fix this. And, if this information is needed; I have a Galaxy A16 5G.
Apple music is probably the best streaming app out. the audio quality is great and album organization (studio, live, ep, comps, appears on) is incredible tho sometimes the appears on is missing an album or two but that's understandable. My biggest gripe is the search function. If search could be improved to more accurately show results (e.g.not show songs that are missing terms in my search) or learn a person's preferences and display reflecting results first I'd give 5 stars all day.
I like that I was able to keep all my music when I switched back to android. The biggest problems are the glitches. Adding to the queue always brings up previously played things instead of what I am currently trying to play. It also will skip some songs saying they are unavailable, but they are and won't show some of my library because, but the songs are still available on the platform.
This app has been broken for a while. If I choose a song to play or play next, it chooses something completely random that isn't even in my library to play. Its been going on for a while to where it would work about 50% of the time but now its about 25% of the time. unacceptable for a service I'm paying for. Imagine trying to watch a movie on Netflix but every time you click on it, it starts playing some other random movie instead. I havent been able to choose a song, album, or artist for days.
Abysmal loading times for main menu and playlist syncing. It seems to be slowest when I need it most. Also, can't choose specific songs in playlists. The app is slowly becoming completely unusable. Update: the app keeps "forgetting" my downloads. I have a large playlist of downloaded songs, and it just completely stopped when I drove away from my internet connection. This is, at least, the third time this has happened. Unsubscribed.
Apple Music feels like the heartbeat of my day. It is the one service that travels with me everywhere—through work shifts, long freeway drives, study sessions, and those quiet moments when I need to reset my whole mood. The sound quality is consistently beautiful, the library is massive, and the curated playlists somehow know exactly what I need before I do. What amazes me most is how seamlessly everything syncs across devices. I open my phone, my laptop, my earbuds… and the music just follows.
They broke the playlists over a year ago when they removed the custom covers and replaced them with generic, cheap, indistinguishable covers and. still haven't fixed it, or better yet, added the option for people to choose how their playlist covers are customized. It's 2025, these options for a streaming service this expensive should be common knowledge.
Jumped Amazon music because of the bugs and requirement to pay more money and it became buggy, now this is just as buggy and stops connecting randomly. Cleared all cookies and cache and I still can't play certain songs. It's like it freezes and I have to shut down the app and force close it running in the background. Highly inconvenient. Please fix.
Overall the app has improved over the last several years for Android. Main thing I'm looking for now is to add podcasts and/or audio books, to round up the ends that Spotify brings over Apple Music. If it weren't for audio quality being superior and having to reconfigure playlists I've had for quite a few years, I'd consider Spotify just to add podcasts & audio books to my access.... here's to hoping these could be new features on here sometime!
Not a great app. I often have to restart the app because of buffering issues. also, if you listen to an album from a band and want to switch to one of their other albums, rather than clicking back to go to their album page again, it takes you back to the home page. Really annoying, especially if it's a new band and youre not familiar with their albums.
Songs are not loading, even with cache set at 5GB and 5g data. It's happening on multiple albums, and has only started since upgrading to a Pixel 9 pro, never had an issue on my Pixel 7. The app is also automatically setting to repeat all when it connects to the car. It's very frustrating and I'm glad I still have a CD player in the car because I can still listen to music when the songs won't load
For being you know, *apple* music it's surprisingly good on android all things considered. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it can be a bit buggy occasionally, sometimes only one song on albums will load or music won't play. Would love if some of those issues could be fixed but for the most part it's a good app.
I have to reset the app by uninstalling it every so often because it will not play songs I try to add to the up next. I has a work around for this where I would add the song to my library which would get it to play and if I didn't like the song I would delete it. I am constantly listening for new music and this prevents me or my car mates from playing different tunes. My work around seems to be non-functioning now 🥲 No ads with paid version.

This app is incredibly difficult to work with for anyone on android. Yes the sound quality is good, theres a variety of music to chose from however it will frequently kick me off my account and my issue currently is my inability to play the next song unless it is skipped. Apple do better.
Absolute garbage app. I pay for this service, yet it routinely refuses to play downloaded songs when I have no service. Songs skip, stop halfway through, or just refuse to load. It also frequently freezes, and I have to force close it just to get it to work again. The search function is terrible—if you make a tiny typo, it returns zero results. Total buggy mess, unusable in the car."
