Adware. Didn't even get to the tool before I was looking for the exit. Uninstalled instantly. 3-3 Edit, because can't reply to replies; Buddy, what's really frustrating is knowing the ads are there because you want them to be. You and I both know you're not "working on" anything here. Views and misclicks make you a percentage from advertisers paying for simple engagement. You have the power to make it an adfree experience altogether, if you so chose. BS somebody else. 😘

This app is absolutely a scam. I downloaded this app, and several similar apps, on the 21st of February to test it. that same day, within a half hour of downloading it, I started a free trial and ended it. I recieved an email notifying my of the cancelation. since then I discovered that I have been charged twice in the amount of 16 dollars. I went back on the 3rd of March and was not mistaken that I recied confirmation of the cancelation on the 21st of February, before the subsequent charges.

This appears to be a well designed and probably quite useful tool. I'll never know for sure. You can't actually use the 3-day free trial until you hand over your payment details, and if you forget to unsub you're paying the minimum $20/month ($90/year) subscription fee. That's a pretty hefty subscription price! I wouldn't find it worth that fee for a tool that I'd probably only use three to four times a year. Sorry, no sale.

Basic functions sort of work, though accuracy and consistency isn't great. However, even the most basic features (like saving a measurement) are locked behind an expensive subscription, and the trial lasts only 3 days and automatically rolls into a paid subscription! This is really predatory behavior. I would rather they just charge for the app.

If you want a simple tool to measure the length of a thing, this app is not it. On first attempt, I couldn't escape the begging rating pop-up. I had to force close. The UI is not intuitive. I thought I had it figured out: click at one point, move to another, click again. Nope! Also, the subscription is quite expensive. Maybe this is a good option for a professional application, for a pro who doesn't already have the tools they need for their job. Glad for the free trial to learn this isn't it.

Terrible. Heavy with ads, difficult to navigate, kept wanting me to install additional things to get it to do the thing it's supposed to do from the beginning. ETA: the developer clearly didn't understand what I was saying. To clarify: I downloaded a FREE app. Tried to use it. It kept telling me I HAD to install another app in order to work. It didn't stop, wouldn't let me use the app- just kept wanting me to install more apps. That's not ads, that's a paid only app PRETENDING to be free.

When I first used it, it worked well. After using it for a while, it now struggles to find the surface to measure. Most times it won't even recognize the surface. Equally annoying are the endless ads. After 3 mins of using the app, I went through 4-5 ads and all I needed was one single measurement. Still wasn't even able to make the measurement, so I just deleted the app.

Didn't work at all on my phone (Samsung S23FE). It couldn't measure the thing I was too lazy to go get a ruler for, nor could it measure any of the objects in my immediate vicinity. I only spent a few minutes bothering with it before it became clear it didn't suit my needs, so your mileage may vary, but I was disappointed. I didn't get one successful measurement. The monetization strategy is also blatantly predatory with a three-day free trial before a comically expensive subscription starts.

Your app works better then Samsung's does. I could at least measure the height of my truck with your app. The problem with your app, after measuring the height several times I got everything from 11' 2" to 13' 7". Which is a big difference when trying to figure out if my truck will fit under a bridge. We're told the trailers are 13' 6". So your app is within the range. But I was hoping to get a better reading.

You cannot fully open the app, or even hit the back button without subscribing for a cost $90. If you cancel before the trial is over, you won't be charged, but there is no free version of this app and it's deceptively framed as a free app with optional subscription. Edit: after the developers response I checked again and it's possible to exit the subscription screen, but the "x" is blocked by the camera on my pixel 4a. Not quite as deceptive as I thought originally but still not good.

heh heh smart developer. Once I installed on my new Android s10e and got it working, there is no way to turn the app off beside restarting the phone. There is probably an on-off button/link somewhere on this thing, but I could NOT find it after 10 minutes of searching. Also, drowns you with ads, and automatically links to them before you even have a chance to try the app out, to see if you want to buy it. EXPENSIVE - $9.95.

Rating 3-stars because this app has an aggressive trial period that feels untrustworthy. As soon as you launch the app for the first time you get this, "* 3-Day Free Trial period then $89.99 / year. * You won't be charged if you cancel before the end of trial period. Cancel anytime in Subscriptions on Google Play" but there is no option for a non-pro version with ads. I immediately uninstalled.

I'd give 0 if I could... accidently opened 3 ads trying to get the app itself opened... then got a review the app page. Then had to close more ads before it was like "pay us now, or give us your payment info for a3 day free trial" Who knows what the app does. I Uninstalled it after because I can't trust any app that gives me more ads than places to click, wants a review and payment before I even see if it works

Upon opening the app, you are prompted to buy a subscription. When you click "free plan", you are required to enter a credit card and will be charged after a trial period. Why call it a "free" plan anyways. I found out how to bypass this, but if this wasn't bad enough already, the app is plastered with ads everywhere and isn't exactly the best for actually measuring objects. Would not recommend to anyone, even if it were free.

This app not only doesn't work, but it stole my money! I went into the app, signed up for the free 3 day trial to use it, and immediately unsubscribed through the app so that I wouldn't be charged. It still charged me twice, which I only noticed during the second charge. Google wouldn't refund my report of the fraudulent charge. In the future, I will know to unsubscribe to paid apps through Google play directly and not through apps!!! AR Ruler, if you are reading this, please refund my money!

Although I completely understand the need for ads in the non-paid version, having one pop-up in the middle of a measurement is exceedingly annoying. This has completely put me off the app and I will look elsewhere for something similar. I would have gladly bought it had the management of ads been handled with a little more consideration.

Never have I seen a "free" app force soooo many ads on you. I get it, ads pay the bill and allow it to be used free but when you can't use it for 5 minutes without an interrupting ad, people just delete the app. The price for subscription is just silly high considering it is not yet a reliable method of measurement. People will lidar phones may have a better experience

No. Just no. Tries to get you into an $85/yr subscription right at the start. Hits you with zillion ads before you even get to the start, most of them with a big install button so you think it's part of the app. Hard to even find the app behind all the ads cluttering the interface. "Measured" 30cm object as 100cm. So, on top of it all, wildly inaccurate.

Looks pretty cool, takes some tinkering to figure it out. It tries to scam you into paying $90 a year for it after a 3 day trail. I backed out and it let me into the app but I am going to watch my card cause I don't want to pay for something I won't use enough to pay for. Seems accurate thoe. I might think about paying later down the road if the trail was longer than 3 days.

There is too much ad and too much begging for money that renders it unusable. I shouldn't have to see an ad every time i click on something. The app asks if you want to pay up for premium version every time when I launch it. Then, it asks several times before I even get to see what the app can do. At the end of the day, the app is sluggish and useless. Avoid this app. How it has a 4-star rating is very puzzling.
