I usually stick to free versions of apps... and if I do end up paying for something it's because they've earned it. THIS APP??? I've lost track of my goals more than once but I always come back to this app-- it's exactly what I'm looking for all wrapped up into ONE functional and user friendly place. love it. DEFINITELY love the drill instructor narrating my walks and workouts -- he's one of my favorite non-humans I interact with... and I love him ❤️😍 lol. He makes me want to aim higher.

I've been using this app for many years and never had issues with it. About a year ago, it randomly quit tracking miles and only ran the time. I quit using it and downloaded it again in January. It worked up until today perfectly. I've went through all the troubleshooting suggestions (making sure batter optimization was off, tracking permissions allowed( and it still will not work. It's so frustrating because I enjoyed being able to look back and compare years.

🚨 Bug Report: 🪲 Not sure when this started but, lately, if I navigate off the RK screen to another app during a workout, it ends the workout. Then, 50% of the time, if I tap 'start' again it will pick up in the same workout again, but not always. I used to be able to put the app in "Keep Open" mode and it wouldn't auto-end the workout, but even that doesn't work. Android Galaxy user. App version 16.15 (no new upgrades available)

Good run-tracking functionality, and I like that it allows you to program your own intervals. The guided runs are okay, but I find the trainers talk way too much, to the point where it gets annoying. It also automatically lowers the volume of your music for the entirety of the run and doesnt give you any option of changing it, which is unacceptable IMO.

I actually paid for this app. Bought it because I want to start running regularly and the My 5k program seemed really useful. I love the coach, Erin, and her voice isn't annoying at all. The issue is that the workouts don't load properly. Currently sitting on my couch (again) waiting for the workout I already did to play through so I can go on my run. Who wants to spend an extra half hour waiting for an app to load in the early morning before a run? Hopefully they resolve this annoying ass issue.

The app certainly has some nice features. However, perhaps they want users to sign in with Facebook or whatever to monetize their data, but as far as I can tell, if you have a standard account you created with RunKeeper, there is no way in your account settings (either with the app or online) to change your password! Nor is there a way to contact customer support to ask to have your password changed. Seems like a non- trivial security issue to me, which is why I only give them 3 stars.

I hated it, it made me so frustrated, I would go for a long run, and i would use this to track how far I traveled and how long it would take me, but it would continuously cut me off way too short!! It would stop tracking after .05 miles or even .33 miles for no reason, i know for a fact the problem was not on my end, but I just kept restarting the running tracker and it would still just stop for whatever reason. I'm done with this app, my profile is now filled with runs less than half a mile.

As of late I get message that app is not responding properly. Overall I am pleased with the app, but it's frustrating when i get that error message. And sometimes when it finally "works" it does not keep track of calories burned. Seriously, a 3+ mile run/walk and no calories burned? 05/11/24 - The last few months it hasn't tracked progress on challenges. Asks if I want to join even though I've already joined at the beginning of the month. Very

Been using this for over a year, nothing too serious, just recreational running. Been good to me. Sometimes, the gps does not work properly (e.g. I'll run the same route but it will show different distances), but I don't know if that's a problem with the app or my phone. I reached out to customer service with a question and they were quick and helpful!

This app was working great until about a week and a half ago now it keeps saying it can't find GPS even though I'm running the same exact route that it was tracking just fine for months. The few times that it does start it will stop about 5 minutes in and say that I've completed my run without me ever touching pause or stop. I was happy with this app but its time to find another.

Love this app! I never used to track my runs/walks, just would go based off google maps mileage, but this really gives me all the details I could want (for a free app)! Plus you can look back at your activity and see how your improving. There appear to be even more features in the paid version, but I prefer to run as a hobby though and not get too serious, so again the free version of this app is perfect for me.

Never had a problem with this app, loved it until recently when it stopped tracking my workouts. GPS gets stuck and so does the timer. I have it set to tell me my distance every 5 minutes, now it will tell me sometimes and others it picks a random time that is not in 5 minute increments. Please fix this or I will find an app that works better. And it's not my phone, I've had this phone for over a year and have used this app for about 5 years now with other phones. Never had an issue until now.

Updating my review to only 4 stars since now I have to "Enable GPS"...for YOGA?? Come ON! ...Still using the app and can deal with the little nuances (see above) but I can't seem to find a way to easily see total daily calories burned. It gives a weekly / monthly / yearly comparison but I either have to go into each activity to see burned calories or load my workouts in another app to see my daily calorie burn. Seeing my daily burn keeps me motivated. This app does not. Dropping a star.

I use this app every day. The accuracy is really good like within .2 of long runs (tracked myself on a half and it was very slightly lower than the actual distance). I love the statistics and run ranking, they're really helpful for seeing growth. I recommend this app to my friends all the time because it's also on ios and you can see each other's runs. Make sure to change the privacy settings though because the run maps are public by default and very easy to zoom in on.

RK used to be the absolute best running app. Not so much since Asics bought it. It no longer gives audio cues for intervals. It no longer allows you to easily log in from a desktop. It no longer allows you to plan and track your own routes or create your own schedule. You'd think a company that bases itself around running wouldn't remove features that runners would use. I would have even gone for the paid version, but I have zero faith that any of the features that made it good are there. 👎👎👎

I have been using this app for years. Recently it stopped connecting to GPS, but allowed me to continue without GPS. Stopped tracking miles mid run. And now I cannot even connect at all. I'm trying to track runs for my virtual runs and I cannot get in at all. Without this app,, I have no other way to track runs unless i download another app. With that said, when this app is working correctly, I can see my runs, compare times, get coaching, get times per mile during runs. All for free. No ads.

The app is great for beginners but meh for advanced runners. I never invested in any of the paid programs. Just to track distance and time. I thought this app was a great free alternative to anyone who didn't mind running with their phone who didn't want to invest in a watch, But as soon as I began tracking runs over 10 miles consistently the app would crash and delete my activity. I would keep running obviously, but it sucks knowing I don't know how far I ran or how fast I was going.

Really worth trying! I'm a total noob when it comes to exercise. I love the fact that when I'm using the 5k option, if there's a day that I don't feel ready to jump to the next lesson I can keep doing the same one until I feel comfortable to do so. Plus it gives me (imo) a really good feedback of how I do and compares it to past exercises.

This used to be one of my top 15 favorite apps. Customer service was great, but then they were bought out by Asics. The app was fine but slowly seemed to lag. Some vanity/low value-add features I'd gotten used to, like a 5-emoji rating on how the activity went, just disappeared. Once seemed like there were so many features I don't know how I'd learn to use them all, but that ended up being more like some graphs of activity pace over time. But there isn't a way to tag outliers.

Whatever happened in the last few days... the app can no longer find my husband in my contacts, nevertheless digs out some ancient contacts that I used to have and no longer do. I was able to add him all along until couple days ago. I really wish the app would only let you add people from runkeeper friends list. UPDATE: All got fixed pretty much next day after only 3 stars review. I'm back to being a happy user. I still wish you could only add people from your friends list to your run.
