Asphalt 8 - Car Racing Game

I've been playing asphalt since the beginning and it's hard to say how disappointed I am that with asphalt 8 you can't actually advance anymore without playing ads. and on top of that just opening up certain parts of the game also triggers ads. it used to be micro transactions for cars and upgrades but you could get by with ftp. not the case anymore. very unfortunate.

Coming from a guy who played this way back in school, the game has gone to absolute slop. ads every 5 minutes, doesn't matter what you're doing. ceaseless "hey buy this for x amount and you'll get this". like straight up, there is a subscription service for no ads. for which a month costs 30 bucks. I enjoyed this game growing up, but seeing it to amount to the state its in now is painful. I do wish companies would stop being so greedy.

When something doesnt make you happy anymore, it isnt worth your time. And the same can be said for this game. And as long as you cant use your race winnings to buy cars, cars you like and would actually use, then uninstalling is the next step, nobody is going to spend hours watching ads, we came to race, and if we cant use our race winnings to buy our favorite cars then whats the point. I just wanted the truck since I used to play with it and coming back years later and not being able to buy it

what did you do with this game, I played literally 2 tears ago, and there was a possibility to do career without adds, or just sometimes for quick progress. Now it's impossible to play without adds. even if you don't want to watch adds, you still have to, because adds start every race, definitely not recommended.

THEY RUINED IT WITH THE ADDS!!!! This really was my favorite game, but over time it has become pay to play. I can understand a company making a profit, I'm all for it, but then they decided pop up ads on top of over priced pay to play items would somehow be an improvement? As a long time player of this game, it's sad to see it turned into a commercial. deleting the game and my Gameloft account. This game truly is terrible now.

What a shame! 1st impressions, I found this game a lot of fun. Great graphics, sounds, controller support, hitting jumps etc. But like so many other games - here come the ads. But it's different. They want you to pay $1 a day or $10 for a month - just to remove them. Got a go with one star. Their choice there alone made me uninstall this game.

this game really fell off. it used to be fun and now it's just filled with ads and pay walls. for example you can't do certain races unless you have certain cars and you have to buy more credits just to be able to purchase the car. it used to be you used the gold coins to buy cars and it was fine but this update completely ruined the game experience.

One complaint, the garage. It's terrible, sorry. The upgrade system is so small and basically an ad machine. There's no strategy involved, it's not fun. And customization is non existent aside from 5-6 basic colors to pick from and a handful of decals. That said, the gameplay is awesome. I use a controller but touch controls are decent. The tracks are where this game earns it's stars. They're beautiful visually and lots of different routes/shortcuts to mix it up. The crazy jumps are fun too

The racing experience is undeniably enjoyable. However, to obtain the in-game currency necessary to purchase & upgrade your cars requires you to devote your life to this game, unless you're a high-spender. This may seem like an exaggeration, until you join multiplayer races (from which the rewards are the greatest) and are constantly beaten merely because you are unable to purchase the next upgrade. I can only watch helplessly as new cars get added to the game, knowing I will never own them.

Not a bad game. Quite fun most of the time. But to upgrade the cars is the downfall here. This is definitely a "Pay to Play" game. 100k fusion coins to upgrade 1 low level part is outrageous. And the game doesn't offer many ways to earn any without buying them. Honestly, what you pay for is far less than what you'll spend in the game on a single part. Prices need to come down, or give players more accessible and lucrative ways to earn these upgrade coins. 10/10 I'm not spending money on this.

Without a doubt, one of the best racing games on Android. HOWEVER, it does have a few issues... mainly that the ads are annoying as hell. Other than that, my biggest issue is that you cannot download all the maps at once anymore, and additionally, the single-player modes are garbage. Would be nice to have a TIME TRIAL mode or being able to just drive on a track without racing it. Also, having an AI vs AI racing mode would be so sick. Otherwise, solid game overall and worth the time investment.

Excellent game, high frame rate, no play limit, and menus are easy to navigate. I highly recommend this game for casual gamers. Just focus on getting a really fast car, and you will have adrenaline speed fun for hours! I wanted to rate this games 5 stars, but I don't like that alot of the cool cars require tokens to get, which are almost impossible to obtain without making an in-app purchase.

This game was my favorite for about 5 years , excellent graphics, controlling was amazing esp with my xbox controller plus it wasn't difficult to build up your cars. In the past year or so they keep adding new microtransactions that make it almost impossible to get or build up new cars. Even if you spent hundreds of dollars a month it's still difficult. Gameloft ruined this once great game because they weren't making enough money (its never enough , Gameloft is greedy)

Great game, though be prepared to set your device down and wait 30 sec after some races in career mode. Watching the ad is optional, but doing so will at least double the credits earned (usually more like 10x or 15x) It is a little bit of a pay-to-win, if you want to be really good at the events, but thats not the ges fault. Its only because your competing against other players who have already paid money to get extra boosts and stuff. Overall, it is a great game, highly recommend.

While it is true that it takes forever to get most vehicles if you don't want to pay real money, this is the only racing game that i have found which is really easy to control. Admittedly, it would be nice if you didn't need to grind forever to get enough credits to upgrade things without paying real money, but it is possible to get every vehicle if you have the patience to farm the credits and tokens. However, and this is more a reflection on google play than on the app itself, this game does not have a small download size, since after it downloads the app, it then needs to download the game itself when you first open it, so it should not be advertised as having a small download size

I absolutely loved playing this game. Great graphics, awesome songs, and hundreds of cool cars. However, recently, it has gotten worse. The increase in price has made it very hard for new players to get good cars for multiplayer. If Gameloft wants to continue their greatest game, I would suggest an large increase in race winnings, deletion of their timed boosts feature, bringing back the old boost feature, and buffs to several cars. Other than that, love you Gameloft, and hope you see this.

Decent game with a few issues. First off is upgrading cars, too many upgrades and too expensive to upgrade, with the level of difficulty it is to get Fusions in the first place the upgrades should be much cheaper. Next is regarding the Unlimited class. I understand that the point of that class is to race based off of league, but I don't find it fair that you penalize someone when they lose a race to cars that are hundreds of ranks above them. Finally, some currencies are too hard to come by. P2W

The higher class cars are prohibitively expensive, as are the upgrades; this is very much a "freemium" game. Still fun to play, though. Ad rewards have been buggy for me, and I've had to uninstall and reinstall the game twice in the last month to restore full functionality. There's definitely a balance issue with the motorcycles and similarly ranked cars. In multiplayer, bikes often outstrip fast cars, with no apparent drawbacks. It needs to be easier to knock down bikes to balance the scales.

This game is awful now. I've wasted so many coins buying power-ups, and then the games won't load, so they time out. I waste so much time playing adds for rewards, and then it won't allow the last few adds to play to get the reward. It will not connect to multi-player, causing me to lose even more rewards, and when you try to contact them with issues, they don't get back to you. This game used to be so good. What happened?

I used to play this game when i was smaller and i loved it. Everything was so much easier, the races, getting credits, buying cars. It was all so much better but the game is still good, it needs to be fixed a small bit just so i dont always have to pay for everything, i would rather enjoy watching an add to get a tuning kit other than having to pay for it.
