Works very well on my Galaxy watch 6 classic. It's just that sometimes it responds in a second and other times it takes 10 seconds just for the voice command to appear as text and another 10 seconds for it to display an output
Add chat logs and history to the app along with being able to use a keyboard. This would make other wear is ai apps I obsolete.
I love the practicaluty of Gemini on my watch, except I gave it 4 stars because after a couple of days it keeps going to the "get started" screen so I have to set it up again every few days. I hope Google fixes this problem in the future!
It works perfectly fine when it does but the biggest issue is that it gets resetted every time I charge the watch and then you have to set it up manually using phone which is genuinely so irritating. Overall I would request Google to fix this chronic bug so that Gemini is usable on galaxy watch
No flagship Android watch can run Gemini well. On my Pixel Watch 4, where it's excessively advertised, Gemini is laggy and sometimes never connects at all despite WIFI, Bluetooth, and LTE being on and available. It was the same on my Galaxy Watch Ultra. Basic Assistant still beats Gemini in watch functions every time and I wish Google would allow us to run them independently if we choose; Gemini on the phone where it actually works and Assistant on the watch.
Gemini stop working with Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and higher. Gemini main menu is not visible on the screen. Like and Dislike icons stay in the middle of the screen and Gemini answer screen is not scrollable
It's awesome having gemini right there on your wrist but my only beef is hat it's speech-to-text engine has a long way to go it does not work very well at all.
Great but add the availability to use the watch keyboard to write out my question. I'm not always available to speak.
what a joke. cant have continuous conversations. imagine having to scroll down and press a button everytime. cant even do a simple thing like create a shopping list. For a smart watch i expected better in 2026
Google make a Tile for the Samsung Galaxy Watch series, which allows two virtual buttons to perform actions on the watch, such as turning mobile networks on and off. But its very flaky. sometimes it works but mostly it just says "Connection not currently available. please try again later' on the Galaxy Watch. However the voice command via the side button works perfectly. Please fix the Tile's connection stability.
I love having Gemini on my wrist but I don't like the fact that it's controlling timers. I rely on my timer 6 to 10 times a day. When I set a verbal timer it doesn't confirm like it did with Google Assistant so I have to stop and look at my watch to make sure the timer's been set and there have been times when it did not set a timer. It also takes longer. I also think that when you get information from Gemini and your watch screen goes off you should be able to go back to it.
Great for the Google pixel 5. Gemini will open any app l ask, and he is always Reddy just don't ask him to cont to 100! Ther is one problem with him: your watch must be on even for "Hey Google"
I love having Gemini on my watch finally! However, one request I have is kind of a chat interface somehow, as I know the model already handles the context of the conversation, connect it to Google Chat, maybe Live mode if possible, and the ability to go to any chat saved in Gemini Apps and Chat History. Thanks, guys, and keep up the excellent work!
I'm only giving this a two because when it works, it REALLY works. The problem is that it doesn't work 90% of the time. Dear Google: I don't need a PhD level LLM on my wrist, actually. I need a high-school grad level intern who can take notes, set up alarms, and call my mom. PLEASE prioritize functionality over capability. I know Google is doing its best to keep up with the future, but the rest of peons are living in the present and we have stuff to do. 🙄
until recently the Gemini feature was great, really useful and not at all irritating like older assistants. however something changed in the last week or so. now when I long press on my galaxy watch ultra gemini starts up then is replaced by a message saying I am not connected to the internet, try again .the watch has it's esim set up correctly and works, other apps have no issue accessing the internet. before the esim the watch piggy backed off my phone with zero issues. now Gemini is unusable
I love it. Something I would like for you to fix is that it has more to date info. Sometimes I ask it who's winning a game and it says I don't understand
ATROCIOUS APP. Takes longer to perform basic tasks than with assistant, that's if it even can perform them. It won't set more than two timers at once telling me to delete others while there's nothing. Confuses routine trigger words with dictionary definitions, constant "I'm an LLM and can't do x" while assistant did it, etc. I don't need 'AI' on my watch, I need quick/at a glance functionality and gemini fails in every aspect. Uninstalled, somehow brought back assistant, disabled updates.
Being forced into the upgrade to Gemini from Google Assistant has made things so much worse. I only use my assistant for setting timers and Gemini is so much slower at this. It has to send voice out to the cloud now for processing instead of doing locally. What used to be an easy feature has now become an annoyance. I'd give anything to be able to go back. This now makes my watch even less useful. Let us have a say if we want Gemini or Assistant.
Add keyboard button. It does not always understand other langauges.
Another update and again it starts causing my pixel watch 4 to start lagging and even crashes which forces a restart
