It depends on what you want really. It does not hold your place when listening and routinely the app closes / reloads. So when it reloads you have to go back and find the specific chapter you want and where in the chapter to fast forward to. So if you are looking to have it play while you walk away and do your spring cleaning, you're in for a very frustrating experience. However, the dramatized version of the audio is AMAZING, excellent narration and really pulls you in.

I wrote my initial review in September '25. It is now February '26. Nothing has been corrected and fixed.... It goes back to the beginning whenever you close the app. It doesn't hold your place. Also, the verse of the day doesn't work. When I click on it it only has a bunch of huge red letters clustered together. Kind of like when you see ants and they are crawling all over each other, but this is letters. Other than those things I love it. I'll give you 5 stars when the problems are corrected.

While I thoroughly enjoy the app, and having an audio version for at work. I am very disheartened by the ad choices. While I don't stare at my screen while it is playing, I also don't want to see ads with scantily dressed women on a Christian platform. I understand that I have the free version with ads, but this is entirely unacceptable.

I'm happy that I can hear the text of the Bible, but also enjoy the dramatic sounds it gives; it makes me feel more immersed when reading the Bible. What a great enjoyment while learning and studying! When I'm in one of the books and a selected chapter, for example in Psalms 40, it doesn't let me choose another and jumps back to 40. I don't know if it's a bug. It also for some reason, when a chapter is completed, it stops and then skips ahead to multiple chapters. Sometimes it kicks me out.

There are too many ads, and too often. Sometimes, the app froze up. What i liked was the easy-to-pick what book and chapter to read. I also liked that there was a "sleep" timer that would automatically stop it in the timetable I chose. I did not like that i could not slow down the speed of the speaker; it was a bit too fast for me. But my big complaint is that every time I paused or stopped and went back to it, I had to suffer through another ad. So I'm finally giving up and uninstalling it.

There are way too many ads. I use this while im driving, but I have to remember where I left off because the app doesnt retain where I left off....I think it has a feature to remember where you left off but the ads mess it up. This makes me wonder if the app was created for the love of $$=root of all evil. The dramatized version is what I use and it is pretty good once I get started. There are ads when opening the app, selecting the book, chapter and an add constantly on the bottom of screen.

The app is good, but it doesn't keep your place where you stop. The only thing I do not like about it It needs a bookmark to mark your place of the vocal reading part. I like to listen to it while cooking or doing stuff that I can't focus on reading. Im gonna delete and find a different app, most likely. But I do enjoy listening to it, especially with the dramatization added. App would be perfect if it had the bookmark.

The only 2 things I don't like about it are not being able to choose the voice(s) that speak, and the fact that when it reaches the end of the sleep timer (if you choose to use it, which obviously I do) when you open the app back up (which you must do to use it again), it goes ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE LIST OF BOOKS AGAIN! If you have memory issues you may not even remember what Book you were listening to and studying and DEFINITELY not the chapter! But LOVE the background sounds!!

This works well for when WiFi is around, or data is not an issue. I also like that it has repeat 1, or whole book functions. I wish it could download the audio to the phone for no data or wifi usage. For improvement I would like it if I could set the audio verse to start with, end with, then repeat the indicated part. That would be very helpful for memorizing verses so too many verses are not repeated, and memorization is better focused.

I use this app daily. On break at work to refresh with the living Word, doing laundry, etc. His voice is chill and concise, subtle with quotes so you know they're spoken words. It could be better of course - It doesn't keep track of where you were, & at times I need to repeat verses multiple times & it's almost impossible to be precise with where you want to be so you end up listening to it again, from 30-90 seconds before where you wanted. But that's about it. I really enjoy and appreciate it.

I adore this app. I honestly only use it for sleep because the dramatization is so beautiful. I can put it on repeat and just sleep. A sleep timer would be a great improvement. I like that it's set up like an audio music player. Also a playlist or selecting a few books to be read in a specific sequence also would be great. Sometimes I just want to hear James 4 and maybe Romans 1. Not necessarily the whole book. Thank you for this wonderful addition to my walk with God.

I've only used this app a little so far. When I was hospitalized & wanted an audio version to download. It is extremely user friendly, clear & actually fun to listen too. I've used the dramatization voice & non- dramatization version. I like both. It depends on which book I want to read. Yes there are ads. They are not too bad. But, for a one time small fee you can get rid of them. I may in the future.

a fair rendition. I find the music a bit distracting at times. The use of different voices helps at times, but sometimes the choice of readers does not fit the characters as well as it might. The app will only read one chapter at a time without prompting. It does not remember where you left off when you reopen the app so you have to scroll through all the books of the Bible to get to the one you want each time you open it. occasional long pauses between sections

Update: I love that we have an option to select how we hear the Word. I really like the dramatized version.. I enjoy the sound effects. It makes the Word more enjoyable and easier to follow. Its the reason I chose this app. I like that we can highlight the verses we like and I also like the verse of the day part. Such a good app.I've recommended it to many people. Thanks for allowing us to choose the chapters we want to hear. Great job! May God continue to bless your ministry as you bless us.

I'm giving 5 stars because it's well put together, but I wish it wasn't so expensive to get the ad free version. I know and appreciate the work you put into this and if ad free was 4.99 I would have bought it. There are lots of apps that I feel are priced really fairly but this was just to much. At that price I'll just deal with the ads because the app is great otherwise and I recommend it to anyone. Really great app thanks. It's poorer people who devour the word for they need hope.

I understand the reason to make a Dollar! HOWEVER, there are WAY too many ads on this app. And to top it off, I drive for a living and every time a new ad pops up the ability to close it changes to somewhere different on the ad. Making it impossible to drive and try and figure out how to close the ad at the same time. Do you people understand your customers at all and why they're using your app in the first place???

This is such an awesome app. I use it everyday. The teachers for Daily Dose and Mindset are extremely knowledgeable, talented in the presentation of the Word, I have yet to find anything they say to be off or not in line with the scriptures and I listen to at least four messages each day. The scripture readings so helpful I like listening to the reading as I follow in my Bible. Each tool is extremely helpful. Yes there is advertisement that's the downfall but necessary to be free to us.

I had to drop 2 more stars for the Joe Biden ads. I'm very surprised that a biblical app like this would support an evil man like that! Remember where I'm at!!! I've hit pause and left the app open so i could pick up where i left off, only to come back to nothing! Then i have to try to figure out where i was. The reading is amazing and very well done, but if you're trying to read the Bible through, it's very difficult to maintain your progress. Especially for a first timer like me.

Wonderful app! The non-dramatic voice is well done. I thought he was reading just a little fast for me to absorb but found the minus sign (-) and was able to slow him down to my own pace. My one hindrance is no space to jot down notes. Perhaps a margin to the side. The highlighter works great but without being able to accompany it with the name of the study, what the Lord is teaching me or the date, it's limited. Thank you, though, for a really great tool.

You can have a book of the Bible read to you all night if you want...(just make sure your phone is plugged in) The dramatized Bible is even nicer! I've listened to Hebrews, Job, Genesis, a gospel many times as I went to sleep. The app is very easy to use, but a bit tricky to turn off if you have the app read to you all night.
