it keeps telling me I have to subscribe even though I already did and am getting charged by Play every month, and none of Avast's "steps to fix" work, they all just end up opening a generic website help page. Ridiculous. Shouldn't have to jump through hoops for a technology company to be able to see I'm already paying for it. if it can't figure this out....how should I trust it to do something, you know, important?!

decent once you actually get to the cleaning section. the app makes you watch a new ad every 10 seconds of being inside the app so you need to memorize the fastest route to get where you need to be to use the cleaning capabilities in the first place. I'd like to suggest that they just make an extra long ad to replace the ad needed for the free cleaning instead of bombarding you constantly with more ads like it currently is. if you can get past the insane amount of ads the cleaning is okay.

I used to give this 5 stars, but since changing phones and the latest updates, I am going to have to delete it. When the free trial of the "Pro" version was available, I tried one of the battery-saving options, hibernating apps running in the background. It was a disaster. One of my crucial health apps stopped working properly, no longer sending alarms or prompts. I may have to delete and reload that app, and I am not looking forward to losing months of medical data.

This app is useless unless you pay for it. Between right now and a month or two ago with the previous version, they've removed the cache cleaning, whether all at once or otherwise, have removed the force stop option (same), and what you're left with is device manager plus advertisements. A quick clean and a quick ram boost that is limited to what appears to be the most recently used apps or some other criteria that doesn't include dozens of running apps. What's the point? Uninstalling.

This app used to be the best for cleaning the phone. It allowed you to hibernate annoying apps that would otherwise keep waking themselves up, and to clean visible and hidden cache files from all your apps. Now to do either, you have to pay for a subscription. Yet what it actually does without those features is so minimal, it's almost pointless to have it. I guess if you're willing to pay all the time it would be a good app, but otherwise you're just watching commercials for no reason.

This app keeps my Samsung Galaxy 7 free of unnecessary junk files. It tells me which apps i use a lot and which ones i don't use at all. When i get close to using up most of the phone's memory, i can quickly, easily delete gigabytes of files and get back to what i was doing. Few ads with free version - not annoying at all. The one issue that frustrates me is "deep cleaning" meaning beyond the easy stuff. This feature must be enabled in settings, under activated services. It hasn't ever worked.

This app is working very well for me. I've used it on 3 different phones, paid & free version. It does what it says. Just watch what you delete. Thumbnails are your pictures. It gives you the option to hibernate or delete apps. Watch what you delete. There is a function that takes a few days to learn what you use, then it cleans or hibernates accordingly. Lots of review complaining of Ads. If you don't want Ads then pay for it. It is really cheap. You want to get paid for your work, they do too

The app is good and all to delete junk files. But there are a few bugs.. One of which being the "watch an ad for a one-time deep cleanup option". It sounds fair, and it definitely would be. Except for the fact that, when I tried it, it just said that they couldn't find an ad. This just brought me to the basic cleanup instead. So after I did that basic cleanup instead.. An AD POPPED UP, you know, right after it told me it couldn't find one for the deep cleanup? That definitely needs to be fixed

This app will state the fact that twice as many applications are open. And when you use the "Boost" option to close the apps, it shows that are closed. Then if you switch screens and switch right back there all open again! I didn't noticed any difference in speed. When you run a the Deep Clean it searches through all of the files. After the "Cleaningup" option I ran a deep clean before and after and the software did not remove anything...

Seems to clean my phone well and it does it fast! I really don't put much stock in all of these amazing phone cleaners that say that will make your phone faster, yada, yada, but this one cleans your phone very well and finds you more space. But you absolutely have to buy the one without the ads! The one with the ads is absolutely so annoying that you can't deal with it even for an afternoon! And it's not very expensive and the price is so worth it!!

Free but deserving ofpayment. Ive been using this antivirus for a very, very long time and on multiple devices over the years, it truly is the very best out there. Not only does it have strong active shields to block in real time, it has an amazing scanner. They didn't just stop there. They have put together a top notch customer service team. I've forgotten over the years about a charge coming out after a trial for the full version. They are able to understand and get me taken care of quickly.

I was having issues with apps I could not stop running in the background, other were not allowing me to uninstall, and still more all of a sudden acting up for the first time, and freezing or shutting down the moment its opened. I installed this app, and went through its initial process. And, it seems all issues have corrected themself. I will need more time to see what all happens. Though off to a great start.

I've been using Avast for years. You are the best for security and clean up, and I do understand that with the free version you have ads. But you really need to do something about the cartoon sound effects. They are taking over my phone, especially when I am not in the app. I'm really close to doing away with Avast after 10 years and going with another security company. NEED TO STOP TAKING OVER MY PHONE!!!

I have to give it a so-so, middle of the road score. I think I have a subscription, but I'm going to cancel it because I just think that CC Cleaner (Am I allowed to use the name or competitor?) is more straightforward. I don't "see" what Avast does when it comes to cleaning up apps and stuff, unlike the competition, so I'm going to uninstall it but keep paying for the security app... If I'm remembering that split correctly.

Avast does a great job of securing my phone and let's me set up what I want with low cost subscription (no more ads). Also installed the cleaner app, which I like, but have to pay 2 different subscriptions, 1 for each app, to remove ads. Would be better for all inclusive app, with 1 subscription so not renewing at different times. Still low cost for 1 year each, and both programs are easy to use, and do a great job. Glad I have them both working for my phone. Got rid of bad ads from Google Play.

It's ok, cleans storage but that's about all it does effectively. I bought the premium version and requested a refund, hopefully I'm still eligible. What I want to do seems buried under several menus if it exists at all. The previous versions that I have used, both free and paid edition were much better. This seems to be watered down. But, if you need it for cleaning, it is useful, just not what I thought it would do.

When i first installed this app, it was amazing. The deep clean feature worked really well and it would clear lots of storage in just a few minutes. However, for some reason, that doesn't work now. Whenever i do the deep cache clean, all of the items fail, it just opens up the app details and goes to the next app. So nowi have to manually go in and clean my chaches, which takes a long time. I really hope they fix this.

Honestly its not bad. Ive had it for a few months now, and so far it works pretty good. Noticeable difference after boosting RAM. When my phone warns me that I'm running low on storage space, i use this app. It's effective enough to clear the storage alert, and cleans "hidden caches" which i have wanted an app to do for years. For a free version, I'm satisfied. Edit 10/42020: still the best. I left and missed it. Prodigal user.

Edit after Avast Response: I don't see any "long term demand" in making people pay to do something they can do for free. Your "proper premium care" is something you can do with less time and effort than even installing the app. And at least I don't need ads to do it. Zero stars if I could. They paywall a service that you don't even need the app to do. If you're looking to clear "hidden caches", just open the App Info for your apps, then Storage, and Clear Cache. Don't waste your money on this.

So far I have confidence in the app. From what I have experienced so far, the app does a great job cleaning up all the garbage and everything out of my phone and keeps it running smoothly. I haven't encountered any issues with the app, and it actually caught someone or something that was trying to gain access to my information. The app caught it and warned me, and the app pit an end to it. I'm still only using the version of the app, but considering purchasing the full version. Thank you Avast.
