I've used this app for years and it's been a fantastic app. Unfortunately it has started having major issues. It started by not showing all NOTAMs at my home airfield - only 2 out of 10 showed up in Avia. The current issue is TAFs not updating, sometimes for hours after a new one is released. The worst part of both errors is no indication that the data isn't up to date...which could be disastrous on a flight planned with missing information.
I fuel commercial flights for a living. I just discovered this app too. I like knowing where my flights are departing to, it gives me a idea is this flight going to have a alternate. One day I discussed his fuel load from dispatch and the F/O hadn't looked at the weather yet. So I pulled up this app for him. He was absolutely amazed. So yeah I give this app a 5 star review.
This is a great replacement for the abandoned AirReport app. The only functionality I'd really like to see is a night/dark theme for the widget instead if a bright white background. It's not pleasing to maintaining night vision when flying at night and also drains battery power more than needed. edit 7/26/2019: dark mode is there now and I'm ecstatic! Thanks, not sure how long it has been there, but THANK YOU.
I have been using this app for years after purchasing most of the modules. As a HAA pilot it has been my go-to weather app for a quick rundown of the conditions in my service area. The ability to see the conditions of a list of METAR sites at a glance is invaluable. If I could make any recommendations: 1.) The ability to read the Area Forecast Discussions (Short term, long term, and Aviation) 2.) The ability to customize or compress the information to allow more sites on screen at once.
This is an excellent app - especially for VFR pilots. I set up airports according to routes I take. I am based at KCRG. I set up south, south west, north and north west routes. The only addition I would suggest is the ability to sort the airports in order of one's route flown. EXCELLENT APP!!! Oops - I just read another review that says it can be done. I will try it.
I'm not in aviation, but as a former meteorologist I like to see current observations in this more bare-bones format and I can see multiple stations at once. I have no need for fancy graphics. It would be neat to have a station map so you can get an overview of an area, but otherwise this is just what i was looking for!
Helpful in the aviation world as long as a person knows how to decifer the codes, it not hard to do, YouTube it. I bought the subscription for more details within the app. It's accurate with the airport I'm out of and the surrounding airports I have in my folder. I recommend the app and recommend buying into the more accesses to have more information.
I use this app a lot and find it extremely useful. I set up groups for airports along an intended route of flight and can then very quickly get a weather picture while preparing for a flight. One suggestion: put a symbol for an airport where a TAF is available. On an unfamiliar route I might set up 30 airports in a group. Then as departure time approaches and I want to see forecasts, I can never remember which airports in the list have TAFs and I end up with lots of unnecessary clicking. If there were a symbol to illustrate a TAF is available it would make the app even better for me. Great app.
Highly recommend for Android users. I have used a few others, but this is my go-to for weather info from my droid. I love how you can rearrange the airports from top to bottom, and the dashboard has everything you need at a glance. If you need more info like density altitude, you just tap the airport that you need and drill in. (Of course I use FF on my iPad.)
The app shows incorrect weather information. Right now, it's 0.2 °C outside while the app insists that it's 5 °C. I'm not sure if that information is based on an outdated forecast, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. I went away from The Weather Network for the same reason, and I sure won't continue paying for a service that provides me with incorrect weather data.
Requesting TAF and METAR for VDTI airport. I understand it's a new Aerodrome. would appreciate the weather info to be made available through the app! Thank you! excellent app by the way!
Easy to use, provides exactly what I want. I'm a flight sim enthusiast and was a real world pilot before, and this app sure is useful, I can pull up any METAR or TAF I want from my phone straight away. Also no ads in the app, I personally like having no annoying ads, which is why I'm here giving it 5 stars.
every pilot should have this, even in you only have one airport nearby. I put in all my local airports and can quickly see the weather conditions at all of them. since my airpark is not included, I have 2 airports on either side of me and can average the wind speed and direction and get cloud coverage in seconds.
A great app!! This app will provide you with a wealth of information whether you are preparing to travel or fly to a destination. This does NOT replace the official FAA regulations or requirements if you are a private pilot, but it does contain much of the same information you would receive in a flight briefing. I highly recommend this app!

Using this to look up live weather (and runway) data when using MS Flight Simulator, and it is great and very affordable. Only wish it also had an option to display the last 12 or even 24 hours as well.
Undoubtedly great app. Being a pilot i have always used this app. I have crosschecked the data always with my company weather packages and found that the data has always been reliable. But theres one very important feature i would like to suggest. Please include customisable weather alerts where people could set their minima(visibility, windspeed, temperature, severe weather and weather trends) and get alerted whenever the weather at selected airport drops below the user set minima.
easy to use and navigate, super useful app!
Pretty good. I adopted this after the sad demise of METAM, which was excellent. This does most of the same stuff. It doesn't have the map/chart facilities - there is a sister app that does, but I assume I'll have to pay extra again for the premium version of that. My only feedback? Options for font size missing, and this app doesn't synchronise settings between devices, so I have to manually update my list of airfields on each device; pain. But otherwise, it's good.
Very good! Easy and well-designed layout, I recommend it. 👍 Suggestions: The ability to reorder stations, and for some reason American cities show up first when searching. As a European, I'd prefer to find Paris, France, rather than five different Paris' in the US when searching. But those are minor things, still a nice app.
Probably the best (perhaps only) METAR & TAF app. Very well made, and has sensible features like METAR history, runway lengths, and cross-device sync.
