It has a lot of information and customizes pretty easy. It would be cool to have a tracker within the app that ties into the information they are giving you, like caffeine, water, how long it takes you to fall asleep, or hard/easy to wake up. I like the meditations but I find it kind of odd they tell you to wake up at the end of some when you are trying to sleep instead. Those are really my only problems with it. For the continual price you pay, I hope there is more to come.
I enjoyed my free trial, and was able to access all of its components. The snore tracker worked best when I had the phone in bed with me instead of on the night table. I found the voice on the meditations soothing, except for the "kneading dough" one where twice she referred to cake. As a baker that almost kept me up LOL! I enjoyed the different sounds to fall asleep to, and was lucky enough not to have the burn issue with the heart monitor. I wish there was a 3 month subscription.
My alarm repeatedly won't go off until I touch my phone several minutes after it should have gone off. At that point, the alarm won't turn off no matter what I do, so I have to completely power down my phone. While using the sleep assist steps, there will be long pauses between each of the 3 steps, and/or one of the steps will stop abruptly in the middle and there will be nothing more that happens, unless I manually click "play" on the step again, at which point it starts over.
It seems like a good idea, but I don't know with the level of access I got. You get little over a minute in sleep recording and little access to all the other features, I can't really tell if it's useful. For instance I think part of my sleep issues have to do with my kids getting up and down at night. But I couldn't track that on this app because of the shortened sleep recording. I would rather have full access for 7 days, than partial access for an indeterminate amount of time. Edit: I don't think the developer of this app is fully checked in as they seemed to have a stock response that didn't address the issues I had with the app. If they gave a full access free limited trial version, they would probably have more people willing to pay for the app. I'm tried it because of clever marketing, but that won't make me stay or pay.
I've had the sleep booster app on my phone for quite some time. It was largely forgotten about until this morning when I woke up 30 minutes late. There was a random update that turned the app into an alarm clock. I did not realize this when I set my work alarm at bedtime. I didnt notice that google had prompted me to pick an app, because I didn't realize there was a second alarm on my phone. I would prefer not to be fired for showing up late, so its a definite uninstall. Stay in your lane.
Maybe a good app. Looked promising. I was seriously considering subscribing if this worked well. But as soon as the alarm rang I kept getting ad after ad. It's one thing to have a banner ad, maybe one full screen ad. I get the dev wants to make some money, but full screen loud ads once after the other as soon as I wake up. I must have got 5 ads in a span of a minute. No thanks.
They spring the payment page on you unexpectedly, and don't make it clear that you don't have to pay to use the app. Even though it's free, the 5 "free" features it offers aren't very good. The talk down isn't descriptive at all, you're better or meditating yourself. They only offer 1 sound for background noise to sleep to and it's a camp fire. Other than that there's an alarm which my phone has free, and it records the noises at night but you need to pay or watch ads to listen.
I have the paid version of this app. The "story & meditation" can sometimes give me anxiety as it will constantly ask to remember times in your life and as someone with memory impairment from ADHD, it's not a great relaxation tool. The snore recording function has rarely caught any snoring, just a lot of dead air recordings. I tried to go in to the play store to cancel my subscription so it doesn't renew, but it doesn't show up in my list of subscriptions.
It's got it's uses. But if you got this app to accurately track your sleep, it might not be compatible. I work my own hours at home which can be somewhat unpredictable. Sometimes I can sleep 2-3 hours past my alarm. With this app, it ends your sleep cycle automatically after the alarm goes off and doesn't let you edit hours if you sleep past your alarm. This only frustrated me because I mainly got the app to track my sleep. The meditations are nice.
Would be an amazing app but the ads are misleading, it's far from a "free" app. If you want to be able to play back your sleep recordings (a thing highlighted in the ads) you have to pay a subscription a weekly of 4.99 (would not be a bad price but for someone living paycheck to paycheck that is not doable) a 6 month plan 39.99 or a "lifetime" subscription fee at 99.99 but right now claiming a "limited time" offer of 34.99(most likely a yearly payment thing), i am very disappointed in this app
I tried to cancel my free subscription, but there is no easy or even possible way to do it. I followed the instructions to go to the play store and subscriptions, but it wasn't listed so I couldn't cancel it. Now I have a charge to my bank for something I tried to cancel. Please contact me so this can be resolved. Plus the "contact" and "leave feedback" does nothing to bring my problems to anyone's attention. HELP!!!
I have used this app for YEARS! It used to be really great. Did you know that If you don't have signal, this app doesn't work at allllll!!!! AND The cost has gone up a lot. The majority of features it keeps telling me I now need to pay for. I used to always use to heartbeat monitor in the morning when i would get up to see my resting heart rate, now- not without paying an astronomical amount of money for a simple program. Definitely not the same free quality that it used to be.
As another said, you can't do anything without paying. Snore and voice wasn't even accessible to me, no matter what I pressed it wanted to show me the paid packages. Tons of pop ups for their packages, and set its own alarm even after turning off the feature. Since my approximate sleep schedule was set, it decided to alarm anyways. Your ads worked to get me here, but the app didn't follow through.
As many other reviews have stated, paywalls. You want to hear what you did all night? Nope, you get to listen to your first one with an ad, the rest you need to subscribe to one of their plans that are too pricy. I'm glad I didn't sign up for a trial as others are having tough times getting refunds. Bad app. Edit: That's a lie. I tried watching ads after listening to the first sound. I only had the option to subscribe after the first sound.
Uninstalling. I was under the impression that this app would be free to use, but after seeing that I have to pay actual money to even TRY to help myself get on a better sleep schedule, I just turned away. And FYI, I can't sleep very well at all. 6 hours most of the time, but if I do sleep longer it's usually for like 14 hours. Not to mention, I can't even START feeling tired until midnight or later. If I could give an app 0 stars, I would do so for this one.
In app purchases...means pay to use. The features looked to be what I wanted. Unfortunately once it asks for information on what you are looking for you have to pay to go any further. Kind of seems like a timeshare bait and switch. It costs nothing to look at yet more than I am willing to pay to use. I dont need to pay 35.00 for an alarm clock.
This would be a great app if you didnt have to pay for membership. $ 4.99 a week!! C'mon it's a sleep app! It's cool they record when you make noise as your sleeping but guess what?! You have to be a member to use that option. Without being a member it's very limited and they're are much better sleep apps out there. All the cool things it advertises , you have to be a member to use it. Uninstalled. Too bad, wouldve been one of my fav apps...if I didnt have to pay an arm and a leg to get use it.
The app itself is ok. I looked at the fitness monitor, and decided to click the link to go to purchase, assuming it would take me to a page to get more information and confirm my card and if I wanted to purchase. Instead, it took me to a page that said "order complete!" And it wasn't my name, email, or address listed on the confirmation. And there's no way to see what card was charged!
I've really enjoyed the app till the most recent update, it's no longer functional without a subscription. I'd watch an ad and click through the client side ads for the sake of listening to a 27 minute story before bed but now it's no longer functional.. I'd rate 5 stars if it weren't for this.. I really love the stories and the mediation methods! Just not the unavailability with the newest update.
First 2 nights were great-really like the sleep ritual. I skipped 2 nights and now, when the alarm goes off I can't shut it off! I have had to restart my phone...I am starting days off frustrated and cranky which sort of defeats the whole purpose! Also, on these same 2 days, the only thing it's tracked is what time I went to bed and just 2 recorded clips-everything else is blank. It worked so well at first I recommended it to a therapist friend and now I am hoping he's not passing along!
