BabyCam - Baby Monitor Camera

Used this app for over a year. I only use the free option, as I only need to use it for a few minutes at a time while my baby naps so I can get things done in the other room. You have to watch literally one ad every time you relaunch the camera but that's it, then you can use the camera as long as you need to. One small ad at the bottom of the app, not a bother at all! You can do other things on the phone & still have the box in the corner to see & hear the baby! A bit glitchy but good enough.

For a long time I was trying to figure out a way to monitor cats in the field by video with no internet. This works! Easy to set up quickly, it's a great way to see if they have a tipped ear. Some improvements would be zoom off center, also I prefer the controls for zoom and light as they are on the baby's cam. It's hard when you can't see half the picture when making adjustments. I'd give 4.5, I'm very happy with it😉

Love this, made it so much easier to keep an eye on the baby when I had to move him out of of the hubby and i' s bedroom. Also is great for keeping an eye on the baby when he is napping and I need to do some gardening outside, showering, cooking, ect. Can take pictures and videoes, however you cannot take a video and watch live feed at the same time. The sound is super clear & sensitive. The ads are soundless and small, just a thin strip at the very bottom of the screen. Great app!

If I could give more stars, I would. For a free version of an app, it has AMAZING controls and display options, minimal ads, and coming from a Cybersecurity background, a safe way to watch your baby without some guy in India also tuning in.. which is something even the expensive apps like Ring can't get right. Ive already recommended it to family and friends, but it's the only app I trust to my newborn ❤️👍

This app is a lifesaver & has given me peace of mind. I can speak to her &let her know I'm coming, I can set volume alerts & get a notification the moment a sound is made, I can take pics or record her, but the best part is the safety of it. You have to be on the same wifi network to see it. The chromecast capability is amazing! Being able to see her on the tv while I clean or just relax is so convenient. & I'm able to watch her on my phone while running other apps. GET PREMIUM! ITS WORTH IT!!

This app works awesome! Great for security surveillance. Great features like being able to zoom in/out, turn flash on/off, record and take pictures and audio. This is one of the only apps that allows wifi direct without internet or going through a router. No annoying advertising either. Great job!!! Update: I wanted everyone know I use this for security, I set the baby cam in a mini-van with a tripod and phone holder then use the car charger to the phone. Don't have issues with low battery.👍

Fantastic. I see a lot of people complaining about ads... Preimum is $3. A video baby monitor is $60. Don't be cheap, the app works extremely well, I just grabbed one of my old phones, threw it in a cheap tripod over his crib and plugged it into the wall. He was 4 weeks early so I just have the tablet on my bedside with a Bluetooth speaker hooked up to make it louder. Me and his momma couldn't be happier with the app.

Before I uninstall (kids have outgrown the baby cam), I do want to say that I appreciate all the app has done for me. I even got the premium for some sleep-deprived reason so I can't recall what the app was like when it was free. But it must have been a great reason. The kid is still not sleeping well and you still need a dim light source to view without enabling the flashlight but would recommend. I used an old smartphone as the camera.

Best baby monitor app EVER! Save the money you would spend on expensive baby monitor equipment and just download this app! IT'S FRRREEEEE! There are of course ads in order for it to be free but they are honestly not bad at all and don't interfere with functionality or interface whatsoever. Or you can opt out of the ads altogether if they bug you that much for a small fee..... and it's still just a few dollars vs the of hundreds you would normally spend on equipment. + SO MANY COOL FEATURES!

We've used this app for almost 2 years now and all in all we're happy with it. I'm very close to uninstalling the app though because of very inappropriate ads... please sign with companies with appropriate advertising...

Great app! One suggestion: controlling sound and volume (e.g., lullabies) could be easier and more precise. It’s hard to set an exact level using the small touch controls.

I think it's a good application this far. I've used it for a while now and to my surprise it's doing well. There's just a short delay with the action and movement the baby makes while starting to wake up and cry. It's about a 2.5 second delay in arm, face and body movement, but the sound comes through quite clearly though.☝️😇 I'm just struggling to get picture in picture mode on my Android, because I can't use my phone to do something else. The screen stays on in full view always.👀

It is so temperamental. It worked perfectly for weeks on one phone, and one tablet - so I bought premium and had planned to rate 5 stars. But then it would not work at all with my wife's phone as cam or monitor. (Pixel 8) Now it works 40-50% of the time on all devices, doing nothing different than before. Sometimes connects automatically, sometimes it just won't connect at all. It has so much potential, with so many features. But too annoying to be able to use reliably.

Great app, paid version at that price is a no Brainer. I like how you can connect multiple devices at the same time and pay once for premium and any device that connects to that premium device also gets upgraded. I can be in the garden, my wife in the living room, and both simultaneously listening out for the babies. *I don't usually bother with reviews

The app seems to work great! However, at the second launch a cookie policy window shows up and if I do not allow tracking, the app refuses to work. To clarify, contrary to what the error message says, if I do not consent to cookies, you are still allowed to show me ads, just not personalized ones. I do not accept tracking cookies from any website and they all work fine (with ads) - please remove the error message!

Works great for my use. Pros: uses wifi so reaches further than some other camera options, sound and video are clear, free, very few ads. Cons: interface is a little clunky (but ok once you get the hang of it), night vision is nil, there is a 3 second delay on audio, video is a bit choppy. Sometimes loses connection for no apparent reason, so I always have to listen for the white noise machine make sure it's still on. For the price (free), this is the best option I've found so far.

This app is definetly what you are looking for, I run it using old xiaomi phone that's not usable for anything else, battery usage is surprisingly low as well. For a while I used free version but after a while I decided that developer has earned my money even though it wasn't forced. Would be nice to make changes in all so the baby phone is turned on all of the time. Sometimes I forget to turn on my baby's phone, I have to go back into her room and risk waking her up.

OK but I keep getting kicked out. Like in the middle of the night, the app would just disconnect and I would wake up to find there's no sound from my phone. Then I would need to connect it again. What if it turned off when my baby was crying and I missed it? I have the free version. I think the ads are interrupting my connection since everytime I go back in, there's an ad.

BEWARE! Downloaded the app due to our normal video monitor (no app required) being sent away for repair and having no option but to use our devices connected to wi-fi. Easy set up, easy connection between the two phones. So easy, in fact, that someone was able to hack into the app within hours of downloading it, to whisper, whistle and make *kiss* noises to me/my baby! Absolutely DISGUSTED in this security breech and at 3am was deleting the app. Thanks so much for the peaceful sleep... NOT!
