Background Video Recorder Pro

This app is great , paid membership, I've had a couple of videos recorded, but some just disappeared , is there a way I could recover them? I've tried using recycle bin, and it's worked a couple of times , just unfortunate some of those times my videos have disappeared, I know clearly I didn't delete those videos, and when I checked right after I would record, they never saved and I had plenty of data left, is there a link you could provide to possibly have those videos recovered?

Great app, from all the similar apps I have tried this one is the best. It actually works. The big deal is most other apps do not handle the 4gb file limit well. This one you can easily set it to record smaller files and it works well on my old Samsung S8. The next step will be to buy the premium so I can save it to a microSD card on the phone. Keep up the good work!

It's a really cool app with a lot of settings and works as intended on Samsung Galaxy S10+. One small thing, the widget minimum size takes a lot of empty padding around the control panel, it would be nice if things were tightened up a bit ! Thanks 🙏🏽

I purchased the very affordable lifetime premium version. But even the free version works perfectly on my Pixel 9A. This developer is a genius.! Everything works well, is intuitive. There are multiple configurations available in the settings to please anybody. So glad I found this BVR after first testing 8 other high priced scam BVR aps. This is the only one you'll ever need. just save yourself a whole lot of waste of time and download this. that's my suggestion.

The best app of this kind out their. It has all the features you expect- recording in the background, recording keeping the screen off. It has many advanced modification settings. The ads aren't that intrusive.

This is a great app. I need to record rehearsals and performances of choirs that I sing with and BVR worked perfectly for me first time with over 2 hours of recording with no issues in video or audio quality. Will continue to use and would defo recommend.

Great app! Has pretty much all the functions and settings I could want.. - Using the option to restart recording every 10 minutes, I found that each 10-minutes chunk of (Full HD) video is 1.3 GB. regardless of which framerate I set. I tried to set it to only 15 fps, but the file size remain 1,3 GB pr 10-minutes chunk. And the same goes for 60 fps. - The output video does have the right framerate that I set it to. (except 90 or 120 fps; which comes out at 30 fps), but each 10-minutes chunk is 1,3 GB all the same. - Other than that (if the framerate had mattered on the file size) I might have wished for the options of 25 fps and 12 fps. - But all in all a great app has all the options that I could want. [Edit] Thanks for the quick reply. Switching to Camera1 API didn't work for me. When I did that Ithe output videos couldn't be played. HOWEVER - I DID find a solution to my problem: Simply setting the Video bitrate to a value (in my case I found 6 Mbps to be quite enough) in stead of "default": This drastically reduced the file size of the output files. - Thanks again. This app is the best and most stable background recorder. However, there's one thing that's bothering me — I can't seem to record at 60fps even though I've set the frame rate to 60. If the developers can fix this issue, I would definitely give it a 5-star rating and purchase the premium version without hesitation. I'm using an S23+, which supports 60fps video, but I'm still only getting 30fps.

your instructions are very confusing, you use multiple terms to describe the same device, cameras are called front and back cameras, they're also called camera one and camera 2, they're also called main camera and selfie camera, with so many different names for the same device how am I supposed to know what camera I am setting up. also what happened to BVR RECORD NOW, as you know it was a real simple hit the button and it starts recording, apparently it doesn't do that now.

it would be 5 star review but I purchased premium and when I try to record with dual cameras the main camera video for some reason only shows the first second even if its a 30 second video, its specifically when i want the videos to be on seperate files the selfie one is fine but the main camera freezes as soon as it starts, please help me. could I contact someone

It reminds me of the old BVR. I was really upset when that one went away after I paid for it. The main thing I feel this one is missing is the ability to automatically switch between night vision and regular vision. Also, audio will stop working after 30 minutes during a recording and never pick back up. The "Listening" feature is also very annoying. I want it to record when I press record and continue recording until I stop it. I've missed critically important recordings.

It continually fails to record any video after meticulously going through all the settings to accurately adjust the camera for my recordings. Using it as a "nanny cam" and it has failed multiple times now.

Awesome app! Highly recommend. I have two suggestions to add to the app: 1. Add an option to "automatically" change storage location from External to Internal when "SD Card" is full. 2. It would be more awesome if I had a wider variety of options when choosing notification sounds. Preferably sounds previously installed on my cellphone. Currently I can only choose from a short list provided by the app. Anyway, this app is awesome!!! I love it and use it when KiteSurfing in the sea. Well done!

I'm meaning in regards to the settings. all i need it to do is record in either the front or back camera, or both at same time of z fold 5 with the screen off, without a notification. also would be great if while it was recording with the screen off someone couldn't just turn the recording off or know it was even recording unless they entered the screen unlock code. also is there a way to change the size of the giant yellow time stamp in the video? it's a great app and appreciate the hard work.

This is a very good app. The only problem is this: Every time the recording stops and ends, it emits a loud alert sound. I've have turned every sound tab to no sound, or off, which is found in the app settings. I then turned all sound settings to off on my cell phone settings. I still get this stupid alert sound. It's annoying as hell, and actually infuriating. There is no way to be stealth, which is what I thought was one of the purposes of the app. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I needed to convert an old Galaxy S9 into a "trail cam" to catch what's been chewing on some hose from my heat pump. This app worked perfectly since it works in stealth mode and doesn't drain the battery much unless it's actually shooting. Turns out a large packrat was the culprit. I had a few questions that were answered promptly by Arbel in tech support. This app could use better documentation explaining what all the settings do ... 3/5 stars on that, but 5/5 on everything else!

3 stars. COULD BE 5. Lots of options. Truly background stealth. Motion sensor option. Baby monitor option. Camera tweaks. HOWEVER! Every time app updates- my settings all go away and I have to set the app up from start to finish and reconfigure storage options. With frequent updates ( Always a +) this happens a little too often to just let it slide. Truly an amazing job on the rest of the app. Fix this and will rate 5

I was a lil bit skeptical about this app when I first downloaded it. It's easy to use and gives you option to set up between the different cameras on your phone. The interface is pretty simple and will run until you stop it. I've seen some negative reviews and I think the performance might be based on what phone you have. After a week with the app I decided to purchase the premium version not because I needed the extra featurea but to support how good the app is

After the latest update the app suddenly doesn't respond to volume down to stop recording. And doesn't always properly respond to volume up to start recording. Before the update it was direct and working just fine. Idk what happened and I checked all settings and can't figure it out. Update: followed suggested fix. It works now but still not as efficiently as before. Still takes multiple volume button presses to have an effect. Waiting for the next update 🙏🏼

When I first downloaded it onto my Samsung A52, it work great. It was exactly what I was looking for - the ability to record videos in the background without anyone knowing, and on top of that there were some really neat features. There are other apps out there that do something sort of similar, but they don't have the ability to zoom. BVR has tons of settings and features that I think make it stand above just about anybody else's app… when it works . Unfortunately, for some odd reason the recordings now stop after 1 second, then restart, then stop again after 1 second, then restart. I thought maybe it was my phone, so I actually bought the upgraded Samsung S22 Ultra. Today the start and stop recording happened over 300 times in 1 hour, and only 5 or so of the 300+ recordings had more than 15 seconds of video. There are other quirks that are starting to happen as well. I've tried every possible setting I could find that would make a difference, not to mention I've reinstalled the app multiple times, and I even communicated directly with the developer. He was also at a loss for the cause and had no solutions that worked.. If this app worked properly, I would give it 10 stars because of the strong feature set. But unfortunately, I have to discontinue using it because it is not reliable. I never know if I'm going to record the video I need successfully or not. Sometimes it works flawlessly, other times it is completely messed up. I give it 5 stars for features and functionality, but only 1 star for reliability. If the developer can fix the bugs in the app, I will gladly adjust my rating.
