After I installed the latest update, not sure how long ago, I can't get it to do anything once logged in. It just freezes and eventually says it's not working. I just Uninstaller and reinstalled the app, and it still locks up and gives me the non-responding message. Edit 8/30/24. It was locking up again so I just downloaded the new update and it worked the first time I was in it. But I logged back in maybe an hour later and now it's not responding again. Really frustrating. Eh. I buy something from particular merchants, the transaction is approved but the money won't leave my account until a day or 2 later, which is annoying. It leaves me in the negative. I don't have overdraft protection! If there's not enough money to cover it a reg bank just declined the transaction. Never experienced this with any other bank. Also it won't show the transaction until it clears. It's an inconvenience to us consumers. Please fix that.

It's a pretty good app, but has some annoying issues. Firstly, instead of finger print being able to authenticate all account logins, it's specific to only one account so if you have more than one account it's useless, the it keeps randomly prompting to use the fingerprint authentication w/ no way to keep that from happening. Next big issue is that recently out of nowhere, regardless of the remember this device option being clicked & in way less than 30 days, it keeps prompts to text validate.

This app is awful. Almost never brings up the sign in screen. If you try to transfer money it won't let you select an account to transfer from. I have to use the browser version instead which defeats the purpose of even having an app. Useless! Update 1/1/2024: the mobile browser still doesn't work either. Just spins and won't take me to the log in screen.

Loved the app. But after the last update I cannot transfer money between accounts. The screen just wiggles and will not let me select accounts. I'll change my review once the issue is resolved. Update As always bcu got right on it, and looked into the issue i was having. Update, so we left off that I needed to update my operating system on my phone, so I let my phone update and now the app won't even open.

This app really makes me want to close my account and bank with someone else. Constantly have to reverify my account every time I log in. The app refuses to remember my phone and I have to get a text with a special code sent every time. I set up a pin to make things easier and it still makes me log in with my password and verification code. Pin number, password and verification code, I think that's more than enough security. Absolute garbage app.

Recently the new app version started sending me random promotions in my notifications. If you disable notifications, you will be prompted multiple times in a single session to enable them as they are critical for functionality. They are not at all critical and you can block them and hit skip every time they try to get you to enable them. Please fix this in your app. You have my money and my business don't spam advertisements to my phone on top of it or you will lose me as a customer

Terrible, horrible!! After the massive change they did. The apps does not allow to do deposits. This bank like other keep building more securities in the name of protecting our money, but then no body can do anything anymore. I called Bcu to report the issue and so far they have not done anything about. When I try to deposit a check. The app log me out and make me to re log in, but after relog in, the app send me to my bank account. It does not send me back to my check deposit.

Currently I'm unable to sign in via fingerprint. It automatically closes it whenever I try. I tried the support page and it automatically closes the keyboard when I try to explain my issue. It's the middle of the day on a weekday. No way that maintenance is being done. Please fix the app. Support email address bounced. I still can't sign in. User/pword keyboard closes. Unusable. Review updated no further response has been made. I will be installing as it's unusable in this state.

An OK app, simple & sweet (just the way I like it). Would be 5-stars if text messages for transactions worked. Hasn't worked for 6+ months. Might not be the apps problem but progress is way too s.l.o.w. BTW: text messaging option is important because it doesn't require internet -- it's part of everyone's basic phone service.

This app is nice. Not the first banking app I've had and not the only app. I like that it send me notifications when deposits are received and when transactions are made. Although the notification for transactions is a bit slow. My only issue with this is how the widget works. Other bank apps have a way to refresh the widget manually. However I cannot refresh the widget manually for my bcu account(s). It is bit frustrating when I want to see I need to transfer funds from savings.

I've had this app for awhile, but one big issue I have with it is marketing push notifications. I've turned off marketing, but still receive the mobile alerts. over the years, I've been turning on and off mobile alerts, because I like getting notified on transactions and deposits, but once I get a marketing alert, it infuriates me to the point where I disable mobile alerts again

I was able to use the app fine until sometime in late 2024. My biometric log in will not work, so I have to type my password in every single time. I have un-installed the app and reinstalled and nothing seems to work. I like the convenience of using my fingerprint to log in, but it's frustrating that I no longer have this option.

I don't know how they managed to make every update significantly worse than the last, but that's about all the improvement happening here. This new app first removed the ability to check account balances without having to log in, which was a great feature. But it also doesn't allow me to select an account to transfer funds to or from. Pressing the button for either one does nothing. What is this app even for? At least depositing cheques works for now. I'll enjoy it until they remove that too.

I really love this app. It works great! Easy to submit checks. Easy to navigate. I would give 5 stars but for some reason I cannot get my trip information to save thus always causing me problems on vacation. I know I can just call but it would be so much easier to just be able to submit it through the app.

Very usefull to view your accounts , however, the widget needs improvement in terms of refreshing. It used to update often, so loging was not needed. However, it stopped doing it , and now I have to remove the widget and enable it againg to get an up to date balances, which counteracts having a widget for the app in the first place.

app is not good. I made my monthly payment and its still saying its due. I called in to advise and they are telling me there is a lag for the system update. I made my payment on 1/19/26 and today is 2/7/26 so its more than just a lag. I went on and made another minimum payment again to ensure I'm not hit with any late payments and it still shows my minimum is due. this is unexceptable!

Cash your check either in person or with a different bank. Do not use the mobile deposit option with BCU. They don't take anything seriously and have 0 sense of urgency. They take 3 days to verify your check, and then once the check is verified they still hold your money for 5 days so you can't even use it. I thought I was saving time by doing it through the app instead of going to the bank, that was stupid on my part. They'll only give you generic responses.

I like the app but unfortunately the quick balance widget does not work at all. It guides me to log into the app and give it necessary permissions which I did but then returns to the widget for me to click on the "choose account" button. I keep trying to click that button and it doesn't work at all. This is not an issue on my iPhone 16 pro max, only on my Pixel 10 Pro XL. I did try to uninstall and reinstall the app but the widget still doesn't work. I will update to 5 stars once this is fixed.

Now it is becoming more and more unusable due to not maintaining backwards compatibility. I use widget the most, now broken. bloatware.. I've complained for 3 Yrs and still growing. Keep adding unwanted features. Need to remember KISS rule. Uses forced updates to make you accept new unwanted features. security validation after login is really STUPID. YOU ARE USING YOUR MOBILE APP ON THE SAME PHONE THEY SEND A VERIFICATION CODE TO, TO VALIDATE.... REALLY DUMB. NEED LAST 4 INSTEAD.
