BeFriend: make friends nearby

I've been using this app for two years. It used to bug out when you were typing, but that's been fixed. in the last year though, it's gone to hell. Nothing but scammers, hardly. Basically anyone with one unverified picture and no bio can be deleted instantly. *edit* guys... seriously... you restored my boosts, and less than a week later they're all gone again. what are you doing? tell me this is a serious app.

This app advertised as a friend's app. I am looking for new professional/friends connections. but to my surprise, the moment I created the account, I was bombarded with flirting messages and it made me very uncomfortable, and I couldn't specify any criteria to people who I want to connect with education, gender, the purpose of the account etc.. so I canceled my account right away.

Decent for its purpose. The pointless notifications begging you to use it are annoying though. How come I get to pick what notifications I get in every other aspect, but I can't decide to turn it off when the app wants to go "Hey! Swipe!!! Pwease swipe! 🥺" If it's a notification, I should get to turn it off just like all the rest. If I don't get to turn it off, it shouldn't be a notification

back to being unable to login. every few months we get error messaged and then locked out. It's more than a couple of us and it's absolutely ridiculous. I do not think the developers have figured out how to run their own app given that this is a common issue.. And the amount of crashes glitches and ads that prevent you from actually accessing use of the app. I really want to like the app because I've met some cool people but it's almost impossible to use.

it's an ok app, there are lots of things that could be better. 1, there are pedophiles on this app, the range for me (17) is 12-22 which is very naïve to assume nothing bad will happen. 2, there is no difference between previous adds and new matches, you can't tell unless you manually check who you added. 3, the prices for premium are questionable. 4, you can set preferences but sometimes it just shows ppl who don't fit them at all, then goes back to normal. 5, it constantly asks for location

This app is ok. You can meet some interesting people and have some decent conversations but it's super buggy. For instance, I'm constantly having to close it and open it again because it won't let me type normally. You can send photos as soon as a message opens but then after you type anything, the option disappears. You can't always paste stuff into the chat. Little annoying things like that keep the app from being better.

App's gone way downhill. Used to be the only one of its kind I found that you could actually match by a number of miles near you. That's now been removed entirely. No more free gems from watching ads because that just doesn't work. I tried it twice today, watched full ads and never received the gems it was supposed to give me. EDIT: Searching by country of location first is even worse because it only ever shows matches from other countries. It has never worked as suggested by the developer.

Denied 100% of my pictures even though they clearly follow the guidelines. Was able to get through with no picture uploaded to see some profiles. Swipped for about 15 minutes and only saw accounts that looked like bots, and there was not a single female. I checked my settings, and they were correct. Just another app filled with desperate men and bots.

Great app for meeting people! There are some scammers here and there but relatively it's really low compared to other free sites. The development team responded to my issue quickly. Great set up using the best elements of a lot of other apps to meet people. Only complaint is that sometimes it's rather slow when texting, but there's a built in feature to add people on snap so you can always move there. Super rare to get adds which is always a plus. Definitely puts quality over cost.

it's fine. it's an okay app. but it's straight up lying saying you can, "make friends nearby." nearly everyone I can see is not even in the US. you can set the distance to how far away you can find people, but in my experience it never works. It's not like I live in the middle of nowhere either. if you're downloading this app to meet people near you, find something else. otherwise it's mediocre for everything else. edit: the settings do nothing.

how is the app not a 1* across the board? location is set to my country, clearly the developers stating to do this cant get the message that the function is NOT working. set max distance to 35 miles. getting multiple profiles from other countries and any profiles in the US are NOT in the state I live. clearly this needs to be fixed.

Not sure if I'm banned from the app (they've not sent an email or anything saying so) but everything just stays loading forever and says "null" all over the pages. Ridiculous. Also a very expensive app in terms of in-app purchases considering its predominantly about making friendships... Greedy corporation. And lastly, if you don't pay, you get an ad basically every time you sent a message. I've never used an app with such a ridiculous amount of ads. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

Great app but I hardly get any matches with similar people and a lot of men wanting something else keep adding me and it's genuinely disappointing. Aside from that there are other issues, one specificly is when I select which country of preference I'd like, it lets me scroll for 1 person before it cuts off completely and says nothing is available.

too many bots, too many ads, needs more ways to earn gems other then the subscriptions, the cost to direct message someone is way to high, since most of them are going to get ignored. needs a wider range for public hmu posts. the app feels like it was slapped together just to make a quick buck because of how sloppy it is. also the interests tab needs a search bar.

Just started using the app and so far I don't have many complaints. The only thing I find kind of weird/confusing is that its mostly males, I haven't seen may female profiles yet. Maybe it's the gender option making it a fixed preference for the gender you choose but as a female I would love to see more female profiles.

The app is just so unnecessary and cony , like there's no privacy or boundaries, it let's u chat only if u have ur pic or ur face verified but not everyone wants to be online with their face printed on, people who likes privacy won't be able to like it , too much ads , too much restrictions with profile never had such experiences in other friends app to force ur face to be posted public or be forced into finishing a full profile, it's as if they are collecting data for sales

Honestly its a really good meeting people app, there are ads but they're only occasional and you can just reopen the app, there isn't any limits on texting and you can always watch a quick ad to be able to match with more people, little annoying but its understandable annoying, pretty decent app

It's really amazing app I've made alot of new friends from all around the world. I would've given you five stars but I gave four because why can't we send videos, I know maybe it's to prevent people from sending inappropriate things but can't you add a sensor or something to prevent that. Because friends like to send each other reels or funny videos. Please consider this feature to the programmers 🙏🥺

My biggest issue is a lack of customer support and review of false reports. My account got suspended after only 2 weeks of being on the app. I reviewed all of the rules, and I have not violated any of them. I am pretty sure one of the many scammers on the app falsly reported me because I refused to share personal info. No responce to my right to manage my data. Yes, I received automated responses! I would like to see evidence of how I violated the guidelines bc I know that I did not do so.

Used this app for a while and it was fine, without any prior notice my account got banned, and I am now unable to use the app in any capacity, their support team has been absolutely terrible throughout the whole thing and has provided no help with the maybe 1 or 2 responses that were by an actual support member. Update: Support has continued to be entirely useless, have not responded after my initial email, which was the same prewritten response I've gotten a half dozen times now.
