The app sends you to the browser to do anything with your account, and it doesn't use biometrics! it keeps logging me out, and I cannot setup, and update my profile or preferences! You find the correct page through your account and it keeps freezing up, and you cannot do anything, and it's not your browser or WiFi it's the BGE page!
I cannot log in after changing my password. Every time I have attempted to do so, I receive a message that there's an error & to try later. I've tried minutes later, hours later, days later, & even months later. How much later? 11/04/22 - Still cannot login to my account through the app. Still getting the same error message since my last post.
Same as everyone else. Can't log in since the "update". I have tried every suggestion, numerous times, to no avail. UPDATE: 3/24 - BGE, your reply made me feel like you're not listening. I am not the one with the problem. My filling out a customer contact form will not get the app fixed. Countless customers have complained about the same problem. I keep waiting for a new version of the app that will fix the login issue. For now, I'll login to the website to pay my bill, but fix the app please!
It's easy to use and see whatever you need....when it works. It's down for maintenance frequently even though nothing ever changes. Also, don't expect it to give you push notifications. I've been telling BGE for 2 years the app never tells me when my bill is ready or past due even though I go in every few months and turn on notifications. Every time I try to save or update notification settings, it says an error occurred. It does take payment quick and easy though, all they care about.
convenience fee. I accidentally forgot to pay my bill by 2 days and I was charged a late fee. I pay my bills each month on time. I guess they have to make their money some way since they are telling us we are getting a credit on our bills. If so, this is one way they are getting it. Whatever you do, dont miss your due date by 1 day. This is pretty ridiculous considering the rate we are charged every month. Too bad there is not another option with the service.
The first time I used the app today, I signed in but no information populated as though it was buffering. Then when I signed out and attempted to sign back in, I received an error message stating "Sign In Error: an error occurred and we weren't able to process your request. Please try again later." (Several attempts.)However, when I went to the website, I was able to sign in and access my information using my long established credentials. So the app is worthless (YMMV) and will be deleted.
A free app that if you use it to pay your bills, they'll charge you simply for the convenience. They'll add charges for a "low payment rating", even though they don't have to defend that judgment. I just got to living in MD and have made 1 out of 1 payments so far, and my second bill had an extra $450 added on. Would love to see what affects that rating.
App is worthless ever since they "updated" it after BGE rebranded. Used to be a helpful and user friendly app. Now I try to sign in, it opens in a web browser (what's the point of having an app?), then tells me it can't sign me in. Why? No idea. If I go directly to the web browser and sign in with the exact same login info (obviously) I can get in without a problem. This app is now nothing more than waste of storage space on my phone.
I "enrolled" in Autopay so many times, I've given up on it. No matter how many times I enrolled and see the confirmation page saying that I enrolled, my account has been overdue more than once, so I've had to make an immediate payment. I am always on time paying my bills but this site has managed to change that.
Ever since the big system update you did recently, this app has been deathly slow or completely unresponsive when managing my account. Finally got thru the payment process (don't tell me to enroll in autopay) and received an error that payments were blocked for my account. Go do it on the website, which is only marginally better performance-wise, and it says a payment was scheduled in the last 24 hours... I guess you'll take my money.
Bill payment has been unavailable through the app for months. Have to use the phone system (which I hate) and it charges you a fee every use. App has become pointless and a waste of my phone space. Update: STILL no resolution, no answers, no info on the app. Everything is "unavailable to be retrieved at this time". Just like bge, it's unimpressive, to say the least. Frustrating.
On principle, I'm not giving a good review to an app that demands a review. Usage has been broken for more than a year. I've contacted BGE 3-4 times and they never do anything about it. I live in an old building and keeping tabs on my gas usage is more than a novelty -- high usage could indicate a problem with the boiler, water heater, etc, which are all old.
The app was updated through Google Play. Whenever I try to sign in, it opens up the browser. When signing into the browser, it gives me an error saying "we're sorry, we weren't able to process your request. An error occurred and we weren't able to process your request. Please try again". It also never leaves the browser back to the app. The new app is basically useless. Might as well use the browser. It's over and over and over again. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling. Running on Android 12.
If I could give this app negative 10 stars I would. Since I've started using BGE in January I haven't been able to login in. It takes me to the screen to verify my login then exits out of the app completely saying "Unable to open because the app has a bug". I can't even get in the system through the website to see my bill I have to pay as a guest.
The only thing I want this app for is to adjust my thermostat. It's always been intermittently working for that, but now has completely stopped working. "Adjust thermostat" is also in a strangly buried set of nested lists. App never stays logged to my account in which is super annoying. Does tell me what my last bill was faster than getting my computer.
Very unhappy... The last update caused more problems than it fixed. The app was working fine for years and now I can't even get signed in to access anything using the app. The username and password are correct because they work online. After completing the multi factor verification the app never opens. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
App is as good as useless. Any changes made on the app isn't effected by bge. I changed my method of payment to my credit card from using a bank account yet, they used the old payment account which I have closed and claimed my payment was returned; I was charged a fee for that. Now, this is another month, my credit card still haven't been charged and I'm expecting them to say payment was returned and still charge me a fee. I cannot access the bill interface without major issues.
This app never works! I have to reset my password EVERY time I use it, it launches to the browser and then says bad request, this time it asked me to set up 2FA so I thought "maybe that will help" but it can't set up 2FA, and if I get to a place where it finally looks like it'll login it just spins it's wheels and either gives me an error or nothing happens. I used to like this app but for the last few months it just doesn't work!
Looks like this acquisition left out IT! Can't log in via the website, it just spins and has been doing that for at least a week. Wow! I can log in via the app, but false hope. 2FA set up fails, attempted to change my password which fails so now I'm locked out via the app too! Great job BGE! Let's hope the service doesn't perform the same way! 😡
Great app. works well but it always getting updatd. Dont have enough space to update,so I cant use it. Y cant leave it alone,the way it is? I was able to update app but now it wont get data. Says error in loading data. B4 I needed to update,everything worked perfectly. Update. When is the app going 2 b fixed so I can have access to my account? I have been checking app,still says "error in loading data". After I uninstalled the app and then re installed it,its working great. No problems at all.
