The app works okay- not great. But the problem is they use Doordash to deliver. Which means that when the Doordash drivers screw up there's no way to tell Blaze about it and get the refund that you deserve. Which makes using their app to order deliver utterly worthless and a waste of $100 while you starve and spend even more money to get food from somewhere else. 2026: they've now use uber but the same problems remain. ALSO you have to get an email sent to you every single time you log in now.
Used to be able to choose as many toppings as I want. Now I'm limited to 7 even though prices have gone way up. Used to be the best place to get pizza, it's upsetting that now they're limiting your options when you pay more than ever for a pizza. That's what Blaze used to be about, it was get what you want for one price. Used to be a huge fan and now they've lost loyal customers because of corporate greed.
Doesn't recognize your location, so it's easy to accidentally order from a completely different location in your state. When I realized my mistake, it was too late & got charged for an order too far away to pick up. This is the worst food app. I have ever used. My husband tried to put an order through at the correct location, and it wasn't working correctly.
They now require you to have a credit card stored in their app in order to automatically collect rewards. Otherwise, you have to enter them manually from receipts. I don't store my cc info on any app, so when they're hacked, cause it happens, I don't have to worry about my cars stolen. I don't like this requirement. The rest of the app is okay.
This app did not work as intended at all. Couldn't log in to my account, constantly restarted. Not worth downloading. Update: I didn't say I lost my points, what I said was I couldn't log into my account. It just goes in a constant loop from the login page to the security website and back without actually logging you in. I can log in on your website just fine, it's the app that's not working right.
used to be absolutely amazing to use. now, don't even waste your time. I had to call to order a pizza at a local blaze that I've been ordering at for over 5 years! That's how terrible the app is. Why can't companies see that you don't change what just works. People like reliability, like scanning your receipt, reward systems that actually work, or just signing in with a password, instead of that email sign in, registering your credit card or errors that tell you something mysterious is wrong.
UPDATE: It looks like all my missing reward points showed up after this update. I used the app for another purchase and it worked pretty smoothly. I tried to invite a friend, and it said my invite code "has already been used," which seems broken. I was able to use my reward with no problem. Also kinda weird that it takes up to an hour for rewards to show up on your account.
The store can't sell me gift cards over $25, so I brought a few gift cards. I entered them on the app and now I have a few dollars balances on each. I can't combine the balances to pay online, so I can't order via the app, even though I have enough money to pay. Now all my giftcards with balances are gone from the app after they upgraded. I can't get help via the app, because help is not working. It's not letting me create new topic, it just goes blank.
Works okay until it doesn't, for some reason I can no longer add flames at all. It just keeps saying it cant add them because the system doesn't see the ticket. Then after a few days says they cant be added. Has done this a few times. When it did work, it was great, but now it no longer works, I cant even get rewards. It's just wasting space on my phone.
Automatic tipping on a pick-up order? No thanks, I won't be using this app for any orders. Maybe scanning at check-out only. This app is actually great, functionally, but it's not worth the tipping scam. I don't want to tip before I've even set foot in the restaurant. Do the in-store employees even get that money anyway? Who's to say.
The app works. However, there are some quality issues: 1. Cant choose light or heavy sauce or cheese 2. If you try to place 2 separate, online orders using rewards each time, you will receive an error for the 2nd order stating it could not be placed. However, the real reason it will not place is because they track your reward redemptions and do not want you to redeem 2 rewards quickly in time. 3. When choosing toppings, no option for half pizza only
Poor UI, constantly errors without clarifying why. "Oops! Arugula isn't available" but you can't remove it because it does not appear in the list of items to remove. "Oops! That offer does not work" but it will not tell you why. It is especially frustrating because the app is so tedious and so time consuming and errors so often that I end up giving up 50% of the time and eating something else. This and Smashburgers are, by far, the worst chain restaurant app I have seen.
This app used to be super easy to use. Since the update I was booted from my account. I can't log in and I sent a request to reset my password but I haven't received an email. It's not in my spam folder either. I can't make a new account because my phone number is still attached to the other one. I decided to order as a guest and now I can only choose from 9 veggie toppings?! I can't imagine that they don't have garlic or onion anymore. Something's definitely wrong.
This is an improvement. I did read the reviews around the time I updated (therefore, I was a bit skeptical). There was a little trick to signing in: I had to select to migrate my points but also make a new password. Then it worked. But, I say it's an improvement b/c the app is not as squirrelly, and you get credit for how much you spend. So, if you buy more pizzas at once, like I usually do, then you get credit for that and not one flame per transaction. You can also redeem your rewards via the app, which before was not possible.
This is a terrible app unless you only want to order your pizza for pickup. I enjoy eating my Blaze Pizza at the restaurant and interacting with those makin my pizza. I have tried more than a half dozen times to use the barcode reader at checkout to receive reward points. This process has never worked, not once! The staff then tell me to use the app and enter the receipt. Problem is, the app asks for the barcode at the bottom of the receipt but the receipt has no barcode number. Bottom line, great pizza, terrible app and execution from the company and it's local representatives. Maybe that's the point, they don't want to give out reward points?
Recent update removed scanning the barcode on a receipt to earn flames. You also cannot back out of the app. HATE ads in apps that rely on ordering to support. It has been over 2 years since my last update and NOTHING has changed. You STILL have to enter barcodes manually and you cannot exit out of the app. I would give it ZERO stars if that was possible.
This app need to be updated! Every time I order online, it doesn't automatically update my flame (score) which is used for my reward later. I have to go to the register every single time to ask for the actual receipt with the barcode. It's really inconvenient. And for the last time, the receipt came out without barcode. The manager at the location said that I have to order in-store in order to get that barcode. So what's the point of ordering online and receive the score?😤 Pls fix that.
It took me way too long to place a simple delivery order. First, my card was declined because the instructions I included for the order exceeded a character limit that was not provided. Second, I can't remove or edit payment cards even if they're old accounts or the information is wrong, such as the billing zip. Third, the store locator feature did not accept the city or zip code I entered, so I had to guess at which location would be closest to the delivery address.
Discounts don't apply to order. I received an email for 50% off of pizzas. I followed the directions in the email. "Start an online order and at Cart, select a Reward from the Rewards menu to apply to your order." I followed the directions exactly. The reward (50% off pizzas with minimum $15 purchase) showed in my cart, BUT I was still charged FULL PRICE for both pizzas in the order. Not only did the promo not apply to my order, but it's also no longer an option in my account for a future try
Wow, they managed to take a simple experience for rewards (scan a code) and completely mess it up. Let's not even go into how bad the transition to the new rewards system is. It should have just been automatic. They want me to register a credit card with their system in order to get rewards?!? Ridiculous. People don't want to share all that information. Uploading a receipt photo is painful. Fire your tech team and find one that isn't consumer hostile.
