Despite my card not expiring until 31/01/2026, the app says it has already expired,I must renew. The on line card has been blurred out. Only half my personal details were visible. I clicked on the box to renew. It merely takes me to choose a category section. I uninstalled/reinstalled the app, it still isn't working. Some sentences are all merged together. When the BLC was 1st introduced, it worked fine. I've had discounts on line & in restaurants. EDIT:DIRECT COMS, ISSUE SORTED

I originally gave this 4 stars. However now the app has become totally useless. It never works when I'm trying to use especially in shops and I constantly have to reset my password which I can't do out and about because I'm not at my work computer so really defeats the point. They say they have improved the security but actually have just created more barriers for genuine customers. I never have the same login issues on the website. What a waste of time now. Sort out please. Infuriating!

Having purchased a Blue Light Card in August 2024, I'm wondering why I bothered. To receive discounts requires planning, having to purchase via the app way ahead of buying goods. It is such a hassle; the app often doesn't work, and the card is dismissed by staff when enquiring about using it. Paying £4.99 for a card that is next to useless seems like a great scam. Somebody is raking it in!

No exaggeration, this is the worst and most frustrating app I have ever used in my life, I would like to get a refund if it made it clear how to do that! It took forever and making a second account for it to finally allow me to verify, the first time it rejected absolutely everything, my work email, payslip, work ID. Now I have finally got through all that and paid for the card it won't let me use anything!! Doesn't come up with any of the discount codes, the links don't work, its awful!

can open the app, but it continually tries to connect, stating:- Oops! It looks this will still take us a little bit longer, we suggest you try again later. then hangs, if I reboot the app, the same thing happens, even I have the physical card, it isint accepted by the staff. so no discount. update:- uploaded app to my PC, and it works fine. some reason it has major problems running on my S20 Plus android. have updated my review accordingly.

Worst. App. Ever. I thought I'd used some bad apps in my time but this one takes the cake. Absolutely useless. Nothing works. Nothing. I installed it. Set a password that it apparently doesn't like. Can't reset. Can't contact anyone. Every page is an 'oops, something went wrong' type message. Just garbage. might just save myself a fiver next year... 🤷‍♂️

When it works, it's tolerable, but that is hardly ever. Almost every time I load the app I get a message "Oops! It looks this will still take us a little bit longer, we suggest you try again later.". I could be stood in a shop for minutes at a checkout waiting for it to load and work. For some reason because the app is in dark mode it always loads in light, waits a few seconds then refreshes. The app is so buggy I've almost entirely stopped using it.

Very disappointed as since early 2026 the app won't load using password or biometrics, just keeps saying the app has a bug and update and try again. Clearing the cache hasn't made any difference, even the 'forgot password' is not working. Seems pointless having the Blue Light card if it won't let you log in and the majority of the time you need a code. So still very disappointed.

logging in is often a nightmare. I've never experienced an app like it. Suddenly, it won't remember the password I have saved, and it won't let me change it by clicking the "forgot password" link. Half the times I've gone to use Bluelight over the last few years, I've just given up. Really is a pathetic app.

Was working fine when I purchased my shopping e-gift card & was able to access the card from the wallet. However, yesterday I purchased a £200 gift card to pay for my supermarket shopping, transaction went through fine, however when I tried to view card in my wallet, it failed to load & kept coming up with "oops, something went wrong. I ended up having to pay over £100 by debit card, plus the £192 for the gift card which I could not access & still can't access. Absolutely ridiculous!

Awful app. Just doesn't work. I can get logged in. but that's it. I can't click on any offers. The search results return NO results, regardless of the search term. used to work fine, but it's worse than useless now. same as the defence discount service app, i cant even open that app. deleted them both, rebooted, and reinstalled and everything is the same. don't know what you have done but both apps are ruined.

Really disappointing. App regularly crashes, discounts are misadvertised (e.g. app says 20% off when the retailer says they only give 10%), many discounts are publicly available without the card, and worst of all, if you purchase a shopping card you cannot access it due to tech issues at their end, and they make out that any refund would be up to the retailer the card was purchased from, which is against the 2015 consumer regulations.

The service is good but the app is trash. I mean the search is the most temperamental thing ever. several times I have searched and nothing comes up and I end up not getting the discount then miraculously 5 minutes later it works. You type something and it just writes but doesn't register it so the default 'enter text here' thing remains with your writing over the top and it won't search. Sometimes you hit search and it brings up a web browser within the app, but other times not.

seems very difficult to use, especially with the introduction of shopping cards. I wondered why I would need another physical card but this is not one. It is a digital card (such a pain in poor reception areas) which you have to preload with money. It is just a way for Blue Light to have use of my money. They won't because I won't do it. I don't think I will be renewing my card.

Previously a great app, now completely unusable. Every offer fails to load. The app displays "sorry we could not load your offer" message, then if you click on the code or link to site, it fails to load and displays a "fails to load company" message. update 11/25. worked with tech support. tried to solve my issues with no success. I tried a brand new phone and had further issues where nothing on the homepage did anything or went to a blank page. totally broken. update Feb 26, app won't open.

App no longer works as it did. Cannot search for brands for discounts. I have to keep using the website, which means the app has to be deleted, because my phone will send me straight to the app if I try to access the website. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling several times, but the same problem persists.

Recently signed up for the card and thought I'd better download the app, every time I've tried to install this it allows me to log in and then after the setup pages finish the app just closes and I can't do anything. Tried reinstalling. Didn't work. Tried deleting the cache. Didn't work. Literally no way to access the app on my phone.

App is a pain it often decides to log you out and constantly asking you to keep logging in. It forgets that it has biometrics setup and as a result I don't bother to login to check offers. Update - The login issues now appear to be resolved but unfortunately it appears the app now does not keep updated as it's June and most of the offers I am being shown were for Mother's day and ended in March. So I briefly installed it again but quicky gave up. I will probably not renew this year.

Original-it worked well on my last phone, but on my pixel 10 pro it just closes after login. Their response-Hi, we're really sorry to hear about your experience with the app. We'd like to look into this and help get things resolved for you. Update-It's actually crazy they think I have time to do their leg work. if they were that concerned they would submit the form based on what I said.

never much on there that relates to my needs. logging in troubles for the last year, not had opportunity to access it, trying to get help but wouldn't respond, until now for that I give 2 stars, but in saying that the app is well laid out, easy to use and has clear instructions on how to obtain your wanted vouchers or offer for that I give 4 stars.
