BMW Driver's Guide

Would've received 5 if the 5x3 widget actually fit the full width of the screen.

App seems a bit difficult... won't let me dowoad my manual (which i would assume would be the easiest and first hurdle), it's based on my VIN, and hangs during every attempt to download... and of course, no option to download a generic version for my specific model... I was hoping to browse through a few features in the manual over a coffee to better understand how to get the most out of them, and cannot get past first step, so I'm not overly excited to dig into much more of the app right now...

So far it's been easy enough to find whatever I've tried to find. I also like how it's specific to my vehicle. I previously had an X3 x30i and now I have an X3 M40i. The two vehicles have different standard features and options. The drivers guides for each had slightly different information to account for this.

I think the app has a lot of potential but it's not working well on my phone. I'm using a Google Pixel 3A with the latest Android updates installed. Whenever I try to play any videos it just locks up and I have to close the app and reopen it to use any of the other areas. I also had trouble creating an account and logging in initially and had to close it. Otherwise there's a ton of useful information and I really like it but it does not really work well on my device.

So, I have to log in to the app with my MyBMW account, but the vehicles in My Garage are not available? I have to enter each VIN to get the manuals? This is ridiculous. Fine, if I want the manual for a loaner or demo, make it annoying. But the vehicle*s* I own and already associated with with my account should be available without any extra effort after I'm logged in. It's also a bit ridiculous to have to re-agree *monthly* to not use the app while driving. Uninstalled immediately.

there are indicators on the dash, between the odometer and tachometer which are NEVER described in any BMW documentation. Specifically, the one that looks like a sedan car, another is 3 people close together. and I cannot get either turned off! frustrating.

Fails right off the bat! Asks for an email/ username, but only accepts an email address, so you cannot use your username to log in. I proceeded with my email and bmw connected password. Fails again! Tells me the entry is invalid. So how is it that I can log in to my account using my pc with these exact same credentials? Amateur hour at BMW.

this is a great way to learn more about your BMW. Without having to sit there and thumb through the thick manual you can clearly see it in the company or you're allowed to and click on whatever subject matter you choose to learn more about. it has the option of watching videos just as it does in your car. I highly recommend this app.

I have been renting the latest X5, 6, and 7 series for years. I can't use your app. Your App could at least allow access to the Car Manual without registration. Why not? Also, the App should allow Rental users access, in general, since we are BMW DRIVERS!!. Can't think of a reason why not... I will change my rating once the fixes are made.

There is no reason to make someone sign in to their bmw account to see a generic owners manual. And you can't use biometrics, like you can on the main bmw app, so I've forgotten and been made to reset my password more than once.

First it was giving me owner's manual for wrong vehicle, which they finally fixed but can't search or navigate through links in pdf. It would be much more useful if they allowed me to download pdf and use with a real pdf reader so I can search content

The are 2 coolant reservoirs on my 2018 BMW X3 30i. The manual indicates there are 2, but doesn't show the second one or even indicate how to check it's coolant. I recently had a problem that indicated a low coolant level but checking reservoir 1 showed no problem. Reservoir 2 was very low. Please update the manual.

Works almost flawlessly. The only thing that isn't great is the videos in the app. They don't run smoothly at all. Rest all is great. Provides the info you will ever need about your car

No way to search pdf file of manual making the app essentially useless if that's the only thing provided for your year. No way to access the file outside the app either.

Great information and reasonably organized. Got the universal remote and digital key setup in a few minutes. So many options for the various displays and all documented. Good job BMW!

Hard to use. Not intutive. Iown an X1 but was not able to locate guidance on the controls on right had of steering that include a mode +- and dial buttons

VIN is required all long 17 digits lol. And you can't copy it from the bmw connect app or the new app lol. If you enter in a few digits of the VIN then switch to get a few more digits from the connect app, this app deletes everything you had entered lol. Great job bmw!!

Limited and incorrect information included. BMW requires customers to buy a complete manual as an extra if you want to know about Navigation, Entertainment, Communications. THIS POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE ISSUE STILL APPLIES TO MY NEW 2025 X3

It's just AWESOME how I'm able to use the BMW Drivers' Guide through the app on my phone to do things like check my oil, turn my lights on, off etc. It's G R E A T!!!

I downloaded this first and it wouldn't support my VIN. Then I installed the BMW Connected app and after logging in I downloaded this Driver's Guide app through it. Working fine now.
