App is very good. It actually does what I have been researching for the past 4 days. Almost perfect. But, I think the app should have a way for you to tell it your goals and select multiple goals (ex: I want to be able to bench ___ and I want to gain ___ lbs). Also, I would 100% pay for it and stick to it if it had a 1 time payment. I would pay up to 100 bucks for it if only it was a 1 time payment. Finally, I think you should be able to specify which muscle to workout without premium. good app
I stepped away from the app for a while, but recently came back because I like the stretching and mobility exercises. great for that. but the app is very buggy. if you leave the app, the timer keeps running and doesn't alert you to the end of a set/rest. coming back to the app, it's navigated to another page. connected to health connect, but still doesn't import nutrition. UI is outdated, but I don't mind it if bugs weren't so prevalent.
Decent app. Poor customer service. Tried to sign up for the trial but did not realize I had signed up for it previously a year or so ago. I was charged $63. I contacted the app devs and they said there was nothing they could do and to reach out to Google for help. I reached out to Google and was denied because it didn't fit their refund policy. Point is, I was never notified or warned I had an account before when signing up for the free trial. Not from the app itself nor from Google.
I like the app a lot for my tablet. I love to not have to create a workout and some of the exercises are very unique. You do need equipment though I think there is a body weight only option. There are few things that should be addressed: the video needs to be bigger, can't always really see the exercise details; the main screen has text that is sometimes unreadable as it blends with what's in the background; I'd love to know how my workouts all fit together for the goal, maybe that's there.
There are a few things I love about this app, adaptability, ability to add or take away weights and reps, metrics monitoring. There are also a few things that are problematic. This would include lack of lower body exercises added to the workout. Extremely upper body heavy with regard to workout plan for the day. There are still a few glitches in how it works meaning it doesn't always rotate through all of the exercises in the series. Negatives outweigh the positives with this one.
I have mixed feelings about this app. I have been using it about for about three years, both free and paid versions. I have used it for workouts at home, with access to bands, stability ball, pull up bar and gym rings; home with no equipment; gym; and swimming pool. I have always struggled with issues where the instructions and video/ pictures don't always match. Quality of workouts can vary dramatically and swimming workouts are non-existant, even after years. Which is frustrating.
Just tried it for the first time. Great app even without paying. Easy to use, customizable for whatever equipment you have, tailors to your difficulty, and has built-in times for cool-downs. 5th Star would be if they will it a watch app and/or integration with body sensors (myZone, Google, whatever). I prefer not to be starting at my phone while I work out so that would be a great addition.
I have been using bodbot for about half a decade, it's great. I have several suggestions that I'd like to submit, but I won't get into here. The app is is good, especially the paid version. I supplement a lot of the lacking areas with other programs like google Fit, strava, garmin Connect, and 1rm tracker - it is not a one-stop shop, but probably best on the market. Strongly recommend!
I have been using this app for a few weeks and I really like it. I am not an exercise buff and needed a boost. I'm 60 years old and female. Low metabolism and overweight. I really like how it adjusts the workout level for me. The only complaint that I have so far is that the food inventory is minimal. That may be the newness of the app. It has kept me somewhat motivated, which for me, says a lot. Oh, and it connects to my fitbit to record steps and sleep. Pretty cool.
I've used BodBot for a couple of years and have sadly decided to cancel my membership. The app features are fantastic, and I'd recommend this app to anyone just starting to work out. However, exercises on machines are just far too limited. Even many very basic machines like leg extensions aren't an option. The gym is full of machines that I'm not using because they're not supported in the app, and that's unfortunately become a deal breaker for me. If these were to be added, I'd likely come back.
Great for beginners, gives you MANY alternatives for workouts with videos and written out for correct form. It can give you a preset workout routine if you don't know how, or have an hour to spare. Can adapt based on your input. And about 90% of the app is FREE (I don't use the dietary stuff anyway). Only complaints I have is () I'd like the ability to have a negative weight option for "assisted" variations of some workouts () and it doesn't save your "performance last time" correctly.

Amazing app! I started out motivated to exercise, and quickly realized what a chore it is to find what workouts to do with no equipment as a regular routine. It was such a pain I started to dread that portion of it, accepting mediocre routines that I found online and highly modifying them to suit my needs. With this app though, I simply tell it I have no equipment, and it gives me great workouts every day that I choose to do them! I love this app and I'm finding it so easy to just get to it!
I've had this app for a long time now, and I wanted to update my review that I had made a couple years ago. What is great about this app is that while you do get some great features with the premium subscription, such as nutrition tracking, the free version still has everything you need for a solid start to getting in shape. They offer a variety of goals, including training for certain sports, and I love the amount of customization that this app offers over others!
Update: While I was very impressed at first, I'm finding the endless repetitions of the same exercises tedious. This is especially problematic because their description claims they don't do just that. The lack of new exercises and a more robust food database is VERY disappointing, especially for the cost. At this point, I'm better off using a competitor's product, yet I feel obligated to use this since I paid for it.
The trial was super awesome. I love the workouts and I'm pretty into fitness so I know what I'm talking about. But after the trial ended.. even though the subscription was paid for for a year... It just kind of stopped working. Doesn't tailor my workouts anymore. Doesn't adjust it difficulty. Doesn't keep track of any of my data regardless of my insistence it do so. The workouts you never change and are very easy. Complete ways to 70 bucks I feel bad for referring people to the app.
I love the app so far. the only problem is I've gained so much weight in the last several years due to a medication. it also made me very groggy and lazy and I've became very weak. I'm trying to get in the swing of making my lazy butt actually exercise. The app seems to be very intuitive though. Their customer service is very good. They really helped me out. The only critique is have for the app is give it a gear more suited for someone like me, that's weak. it's a bit intimidating tbh.
This is probably one of the best fitness apps that actually goes with your type of goals. The only thing I'd suggest is to maybe update the types of exercises you can switch to...I've just seen new equipment in my gym and would like to see if they are actually valid exercises to switch to since not all equipment is at my current gym. I've also noticed that some of the exercises don't update themselves with the weights and reps I did before...not sure if it's a bug. Great app otherwise!
This is hands down the best app for getting in shape. It is SMART! Not only does it tailor the exercises to your ability/strength, but it's smart enough to have you stretch the very muscles you worked. I'm impressed. You can also customize the equipment used, remove exercises you don't like... there's so many tools I can't believe it's free. Definitely recommend.
I love it! Does exactly what it says. I only wish the exercise timer were louder. It would also be nice if you could enter your own exercises to add to the ones that are already there. For example, on my "off" days (days that bod bot doesn't add exercise) I like to do a series of yoga poses. There's no way for me to add these to the app. It's definitely not Hatha Yoga (the only yoga option in the app currently). It would also be nice if there was some way to integrate BodBot with Seconds, another popular work out timer. Lastly, there currently isn't a way to adjust work out times. Sometimes I don't have time for more than an hour and the majority of the workouts I get are quite long. I want the sun, the moon, the stars... can't have it all, haha. This is still a great app!
The BEST AI workout app! I doubt there's anything else better, and I looked for a while! I love the simplicity, customization, and guidance! The developer and/or team is also very active! This app allows you to set workouts (time, length, and equipment if any) on your schedule. It can even do it for you! No more trying to figure out what to do or how to progress; just one button, after setup, and you hop right to it! Cooldowns, timers, guidance w video, logs, it's all here! All tailored you!
