Boost Visual Voicemail

Lost all my old voice mails. I was forced to update to this new version supposed to be better & improved. I still can't get them, I have to call voice mail every time. It is very annoying. I do not recommend this app. Seriously thinking of switching to another. Two months later I am still having issues with this app. There were numerous important messages I never got. For instance my doctor's appointment needed to be rescheduled, they called me & left a message which I never got:( Frustrated!

Awful with a capital A. I didn't get a message from my job because there was no notification and the inbox doesn't work. I have uninstalled, reset and it still doesn't work! All it says is "verifying account" which says will take a minute! HA! I am almost ready to pull the plug (no pun intended) and I cannot stand to talk to some person halfway around the world! Fix the goddamn thing please!!

Hearing impaired and don't use a phone at all, or voicemail most of the time, since I can't stop them from being left! Forced to install and expected to listen to whatever in order to set it up... meanwhile there is a voice-mail I can't receive unless I set this up... no idea why it needs permission to unrelated apps, Bluetooth, etc. total Bullsh*t...

Pop ups from hell! This "upgrade" is utterly useless trash! It doesn't even work, so why did they force it on us like this? The other app worked perfectly fine. This one keeps popping up with an error message that interrupts anything else I'm trying to do to tell me it isn't working but I can call to access my voicemail that way. Really? We're going backwards to do voicemail old school like that, but you call this useless trash an "upgrade"? Fix it or give us back the one that worked.

If I could give it A zero I would. As others have indicated we were forced to use the visual version or go through 10 steps to access the traditional method... The old way of accessing our voicemail was much easier. I will start to look for another carrier today. In addition, there is no icon which shows a notification that you have voicemails so you continually have to use the pull down menu to check. To make matters worse... it should have been an option. Very disappointing.

It literally just doesn't work... It's hard to review something you can't actually use. I can see missed calls and I'll sometimes get a notification saying I have a voicemail, but they don't show up. A few popped up last week that were a month old, but that was the one and only time this app worked. Even trying to call the voicemail directs me to this broken app. I don't even know where the disconnect is, but this app sucks and we have to use it =\

I'd give this app zero stars if I could, this is a frustrating and infuriating way to receive and "organize" voicemails. Rather than having an inbox to view messages, the numbers they came from, or anything useful that comes standard with most other phones, you are forced to call a number that acts as a modern version of the archaic answering machine. If there's supposed to be a separate inbox, it doesn't work. I've missed too many important voicemails to count because of this.

This is the worst app ever!! The Boost agents act like it's the first time they have herd of the voice mail synchronization issue. They put you through to multiple level techs that do the exact same trouble shooting steps on every level, with no results. After multiple 2hr long calls, no solution was given. The app will not allow you to remove it. Boost will not allow access to any other visual voicemail apps, I've tried them all and they are blocked. I'm seriously looking into a new company

The app suggested an update, so I did it. Visual voicemail worked just fine until I updated it! Now I don't get any of my messages via visual voicemail, I have to actually call to get my voicemails. I don't even get notifications for voicemails the majority of the time. I am so frustrated! I've tried checking all the settings, disabling and then enabling the app......nothing is working. I tried calling customer service and they weren't helpful either, I did what they said and still nothing!

I can't remember the last time my voicemail app actually worked. It always tells me "unable to proceed" after it attempts to update in app and suggest I just "call" my voice mail, which is exactly what I end up doing at random because it never tells me when I actually have a voicemail. And of course I can't just delete the app all together but what's the point in having it if it's literally empty and just tells me to call. Been a customer WAY too long to have to fight to see voice messages. 😒

Ridiculously difficult process to change ring-to-voicemail timer. I just spent 20+ minutes chatting with AI to figure out why important calls were ringing too briefly for me to get to the phone-maybe 10 seconds-before transferring to voicemail. I only fixed it by finding an obscure 'GSM code' (**61*...) which I am hoping fixed it. This is a common issue that shouldn't require technical workarounds or secret codes. Please make the ring-timer a standard, accessible setting in the app.

I rely on this app heavily when it works. I believe all phones should have an app like visual voicemail, because it makes it easy to see the details of a voicemail such as date and time, how long the message is, and which number left it. Unfortunately, sometimes it mysteriously stops working. This latest time, the usual strategy of clearing storage and cache is not working. It's been unusable for over a month. Very disappointing.

Loses all saved messages when transferring to a new device. I had saved messages from my mom and now they are gone forever. I hate this app as it's the second time this has happened. I lost voice messages from my dad and uncle too. Update 3-3-26: still not working after getting a new phone. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, refresh, restart.... Nothing is working. Called 611 and was told I had to pay for premium. Already tried that and it still didn't work so I canceled it. What a joke.

even though I pay for premium voicemail I never get the transcriptions. I've been paying for it for the past 3 months on my new phone with no transcriptions I finally called boost and they told me that they had to make a ticket for a tech agent to call me. I've been the customer boost for 10 years and this makes me want to change companies

They allow scamers and spam callers to harass their customers indefinitely through voicemail. Sure, you could try to manually block it yourself multiple times until you go insane... if you like playing hide and go seek for the option to even do so at all, in the most painstaking ways. Unfortunately, your efforts would be for not.. because they don't offer any real protection or solutions to stop this endless insanity. With all the "updates," they could at least make blocking easier, but nope.

Still having trouble. Voicemail notification brings up old (normal) voicemail that is no longer available & new messages do not automatically show. No option to refresh inbox so I have to repeatedly draw down center of phone until it FINALLY refreshes and I can get new messages. Fix this, let us go back to regular voicemail without this app, or add an inbox refresh option. I am missing voicemails that need to be timely and I am seriously considering leaving Boost after more than 20 years!!!

terrible. why is there no option to select all voice messages when you want to delete them. needing to manually delete them is annoying and there needs to be a feature where the caller you blocked can't send voice messages to you.

Awesome service! Instead of the voice mail you have to call to listen to. This one gives you times and dates that your calls came through. It also writes out the message as well!

Some messages are unable to be transcribed not sure why. Its a nice addition to be able to read who called instead of just taking the time to listen plus the info is written down for further use.

definitely worth the $3 a month Boost Mobile adds to my bill. No calling my VM, going thru their system call by call. I just tap their icon, and the list is there and I know in a glance if I need to act immediately or it can wait until later. I love that. Highly recommend the $3/Mo. investment to end being annoyed by regular VM.
