Not a very easy interface to use. Search for titles and authors and you're met with not available - but I know it is, because I've gone through the genre section and found it there. The genre section is also difficult - organised in alphabetical order for thousands of books and audio books... haven't found a way to find a specific genre I'd like and no way to jump to the letter of the alphabet I want to get to. Frustrating.

App works ok. The search function is pretty slow and does not yield the best results. Most annoying is the audio playback speeds. Whoever designed this clearly never listened to an audiobook. There needs to be smaller incrementals. Options start with: 1, 1.25, 1.5, etc. Most of the time 1 (normal speed) could use a bit of an increase but 1.25 is way too fast. On Audible, I usually listen back at 1.10 or 1.15.

Features needed: Bookmarks - I'd like to save where I'm at. So, if I fall asleep during the sleep timer or before, I have a point of reference. Browsing 'available' only. Not getting an email every time I return a book, saying it's expired. Other than that, decent app.

Fantastic app for any digital book reader , vast collection of books ( in my library), never had any issues in downloading or listening to the books available. Recently had an issue in signing in the app after the update. But they fixed it within 2 days remotely without any long conversation over the phone for fixing the issue. so, now I am impressed with their customer service too. Thanks team keep up the good work.

I love borrowbox for audiobooks particularly. I listen while driving and it is so much better for my mood than the radio or podcasts. The selection is great; I usually look for a book I've read/heard reviewed or an author or narrator I already like but I've come across real gems just browsing the catalogue. As it's a free service, it encourages giving books a try - if it doesn't grab me, I can just return it and try something else. Would be nice if there were reviews or ratings in the app.

Outstanding App. I use it to access my local library resources as I like to listen to audiobooks. Easy to navigate and use. The only improvement I would want to see is when looking through the library titles, if there was a way to identify what you've already loaned on on the page would be helpful. Given the vast amount of books I've listened to, I have scroll back through my history to check the titles again.

love using this app for free audiobooks but the player for it does freeze. I borrowed the same book multiple times and no matter what I did it wouldn't play so I just stopped trying. Now I'm halfway through another and it randomly stopped playing, I've restarted my phone, deleted and installed the app again, checked the audiobook has downloaded but nothing fixes it. Very frustrating. I've had the issue for days now and no idea what to do!

Plus: a large library of eBooks and audiobooks, and a great selection of magazines too. The search engine could work better, but when there are no ads and you can read and listen for free, I can live with that 😊 One thing I really miss is a rating system for books, or at least some information showing that I’ve borrowed a title before. Sometimes I try a book because of the title, description, or cover and don’t like it — then a year later I realise I’ve picked it up again.

BorrowBox is wonderful! It is very easy to use, to search for books and to manage your place in yhe book. Like going to the library you can borrow or pre-order a number of books. There is a vast selection of audio and e-books, though like a library not every book is necessarily available. This has lead me to read many books I might not have tried otherwise. Not having tried audio books before, I now wouldn't be without them. Fab, free app!

I love borrowbox! Being able to listen to so many books for free through my local library is amazing. I live between two library groups so I picked the one with the best selection of books and audiobooks. The app is really good and easy to use. The only problems I have had have been when listening on my earphones and then changing to something else sometimes it forgets what I have just listened too and I have to skip ahead to where I was. But it's free so I don't mind that. 5000 starts!

fantastic! this app is so easy to use. there is a good selection of audio books for me. I enjoy downloading and subscribing to some magazines as well. sometime sifd its a new or popular release on audio books I find the wait can be v.long but in general there are plenty for me to chose from. I think I would only say as I line audio books up for in some cases almost 9 months in advance the amount you can q could be increased.

Connect to your local library and borrow all the books you have ever wanted to read. Better still, listen to the audio book while you do boring housework. It's easy to see what's available, to search by author, title or genre and to borrow or reserve up to 10 books at a time. Renew it or return it with the touch of a button. No library visits necessary for any of that. Much simpler than Audible to navigate. If I could only have two apps, they would be Borrow Box and Google Maps.

I really enjoy the Borrowbox app and the experience of audio books. It is easy to use and so convenient. There is a good range of genres to choose from. I do find it frustrating from time to time if I am following a series and need to wait for the follow on. Besides that, as it isn't always easy for me to go to my library, this app enable me to keep 'listening' and reading too.

The app is so easy to use. Looking through the genres, gives so much choice. I do love the Library, but I have to admit that it's so much quicker being able to scan through the books,reserving my choice, if they are already on loan. I also love that I can listen to a book, when I'm gardening, doing household chores, and wearing earbuds that plug into my phone, walking, shopping, and on a bus journey. I have recommended the app to several friends and family. Congratulations on providing this!

Great app for listening to audio books, as long as you already know what title or author you are looking for. It doesn't have a great browsing experience though. You can't filter in the same ways you would of browsing in a physical library or book store. It'd be great if you could use filters to browse kids/teens/adults, and then, fiction/non-fiction, then categories. But it just has categories. And when browsing all books you cant even use the category filters.

its user interface is puzzlingly different from the other apps I use for audiobooks. the thing that bothers me most is the size of the gaps between play speeds: 75% feels way too slow to me, but 90% is often nice when I'm going to sleep. ETA: I remembered the other bit of v unhelpful UI design. Unlike other audiobook apps, the time-navigation bar is for the entire book, not just the present chapter. That makes it almost useless for navigating within a chapter, which is really all I want it for!

Great for accessing free audiobooks, however I would really love to be able to have more control over the playback speed, it has lots of options although the presets are a little odd- it ranges from 0.5x speed up to 3.00 speed which is insane!. honestly, 1x is often "too slow" but 1.25 feels too fast. perhaps smaller increments or a slider would be better. Updating that would make it a 5* app for me.

Great way to listen to audio books for free which I do a lot as I can listen while doing other tasks. Also great for ebooks and Ezines to read wherever you like. The only downside is that sometimes it doesn't have all the books in a series, or books by a favourite author, or else they are booked out months. There are no adverts or in app purchases which is great, and it gives access to a lot of magazines / journals I otherwise couldn't afford.

I got this app simply so I could carry on reading library books when I developed cataracts. Being able to display the pages in white on black (ie reversed) and in a large font on my tablet helped me to continue reading. Turns out to be a convenient way to borrow books anyway. Would have given 5 stars but the app sometimes freezes in the "counting pages" stage when resuming from sleep on my tablet. Restating the app gives normal service.

kicked me out while actively reading a book, now won't let me sign back in again bc I've "tried to sign in too many times" (once). I use the app every single day and have not had issues while connected to the internet or been asked to log in again previously, but now after staying up late to read a new release it's decided to lock me out for no reason. not happy.
