Apps like this encourage people to stay away from EVs. I cannot even login, where I get an "unable to complete setup, we are unable to update your account" error. I'm yet to deal with the other issues others having, but not there yet. I verified my phone number/email etc. and I don't understand why it's is so hard.. I applied for credit cards faster than this in the past, but cannot even create an account to pay for a service. Bad. Really bad.. Less bonus and more app development, BP?

I only occasionally use Pulse, but in the past it's usually worked. Just tried it on a 7kW charger that doesn't take contactless, and the app just hangs - spinning circle on white screen forever. Had to give up and find somewhere else. I see the app was only updated a week ago, something's been broken. Rubbish quality control.

Doesn't work - use the website instead. More detail: wouldn't open at all on my own phone. Locked my account on new one. I've finally had my account unlocked, trying to order a charge card so I never have to wrestle with it in a car park and the "Contine to card authorisation" button doesn't actually do anything. It isn't always the same fault, but every single time I try to use that app something makes it not actually work.

After 15 attempts I finally managed to add a payment card. terribly designed app, looks like they haven't actually used it on an Android phone. calls to embedded browser for things like card verification. switch to email app to get the code, switch back to the BP pulse app and the embedded browser has crashed out. rinse repeat. when ordering a card the button to click send is hidden under the android navigation buttons so you can't actually click it . and so on. immensely frustrating

For over 12 months I have downloaded and tried to utilize what could be a good app. You download the app and complete your personal details that sound easy and straightforward. You have to do this more than once it doesn't recognize your details and says hello Null? Who on earth is Null? The app appears to be a scam. Don't put in your personal banking details to make payments when using the app. When you do call customer service its you as the customer are in the wrong BP you could do better.

Works at least. BP charging is very expensive - highest i have seen in uk. Also street charging is very slow. Street chargers are often red and not available to use for some reason - sometimes in muddy grass. Hastle to set up the app. Populating card and other details is tedious, it often won't let you continue without deleting numbers and typing the same numbers in again 🤷‍♂️ £60 pre-charge in your card each time you want to charge is way too excessive. Starting/ending charge is very slow.

Doesn't load and chargers don't work either. Always fun to be standing at an EV charger, waiting for an app to threaten to load for minutes on a blank screen. So you try the charger itself and it can't even communicate to the card reader. the NEC site looks like a great idea, until you try and use any of the kit and technology.

Needs more development, found a charger at Penge in London ,not sure if it was a bp one onthe app. But then there was no exit button to look for another nearby as there was no back button to the app to get back to the map. After switching off phone and on agaon saw a bp one at Forest hill, looks like a parking area, but not sure if parking charges also will apply, this info on the app would be helpful.

This app used to work but now it crashes as soon as I log in. I guess that foolishly I clicked then enable passkey option, now as soon as I validate my fingerprint it crashes and pops up a something has gone wrong screen. There doesn't seem to be any way to disable the passkey and now I have a crashing app with no way to access my account.

App was updated 4 days ago and, since then, my BP Pulse card is no longer recognised by each of my local chargers, so I no longer benefit from having a subscription. Tried to order a new card: the app won't let me; tried to change the pament method: it won't let me. No point in remaining loyal so I've cancelled my account in total!

It very annoying where you plug into a charger, input the charger ID and it says it does not exist. check the app is up to date (which it is), restart the app, nothing, still charger not found. Can't charge, pack cable away and find somewhere else. A bit of a joke.

As of January 2026, the BP Pulse chargers near me require I use this app, which does not work. It just opens a website which says it can take up to 2 minutes to connect, but it doesn't connect at all. I can't pay at the machine anymore, therefore I will have to use other machines and avoid BP Pulse going forward. Terrible decision by the company to force people to use an app which does not work for everyone.

I downloaded this app but it won't allow me to login. I've tried numerous times but it keeps coming up with this error message "Looks like something has gone wrong, please check your connection and try again". I've tried multiple times and it just won't work. very disappointing.

At first everything seemed fine. Once I downloaded the app I created the account and added the payment method but when it comes to charging, the app is just giving you error messages and won't charge no matter what you do! At least there is a possibility to pay online for the charge. I just don't understand why this app has been released if it's useless.

Successful charge at Monk's Cross once we'd worked out what to do. It was easy to start and disconnect using the app. However the app is very basic and doesn't show all charging sites on the map. I couldn't work out how to add a site to "favourites" after completing the charge. The app displayed how long the charge had been going (useless info) but not the charge % or the cost, which would be useful. Needs work BP!

incredibly high charging costs, and an app that simply no longer loads for me at all. If you're looking for semi reasonably priced street charging then do yourself a favour and find a char.gy street charger instead (off peak rates are the only vaguely decent ones left). Ubitricity is another alternative though their rates have now gone up too.

this is the second time I've tried to register with this app; first time failed several months ago, today also fails with the error: "Request blocked. We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. Try again later, or contact the app or website owner." Registering is the most basic thing the app should do, and it doesn't work. It's not worth my time to try again

Terrible app, tried to report a charging point that hasn't worked in weeks and the app sends me to a website to download another app. that's after the app start charging. this is at a charging point that no longer accepts card payments.

Absolute waste of time, it is impoosible to login. They claim to have fixed the something went wrong message but this is a lie. According to the reviews the same problems keep occuring and it appears that the developers are unable or unwilling to fix the many bugs that plague this waste of an app
