I have always struggled with really intense panic attacks that come on at random times, and this app has saved me. Because of the apps ease of use, I am able to quickly get in and use a breathing exercise to ground me from my panic. It also has really helped me relax before bed and strengthen my breathing capacity, which I have been working on for a while. Thank you for making such an accessible and free to use tool!
This is the best wellness app I've ever used. For one: THERE'S NO ADS! I always hated opening an app for my panic attacks to try to calm myself and having to watch a 30 second ad for some phone game or something. You can choose to donate (I do). As for how it works, you can use several pre made breathing patterns or you can create your own! The haptic feedback makes it so you can follow it discreetly or with your eyes closed which is my FAV.
Just downloaded - already love it! It's simple, yet, with just the right options. It was simple to create custom breathwork timing (which I love). Also, gives you the ability to turn things off/on, like having a voice guide you or not, etc. Also, let's you set reminders which I needed as I can work all day and forget to take a moment for myself. Just downloaded it on a friends phone too!
I love the Breathe app! It never fails to make me smile when I'm done with my session! After a lifetime of being a very shallow breather with no diaphragm or lung strength whatsoever, I really feel like it's improving my lung function. I should also add that I use this app with my "Breather" exerciser. The Breathe app is much more reliable and pleasant to use. I always finish my session feeling calm, relaxed, and reassured.
Great as a free app, no ads at all. Simple to use. I like how you can make you're own breath excercises. I do wish they counted up instead of down. And if there was more a sound (like counting out loud) guide as the seconds are counted for each breath or hold in case you want to close you're eyes, but hey it's free!
I've been looking at a number of apps designed for timing intervals, whether designed for exercise, meditation, or pranayama; I use this app for the latter. It is the most readily customizable, so that I can set it up to help me slowly increase the time for my breath cycles in increments a small as .1 second (though the smallest increment I've used so far is .5). It's well set up to allow for programming breathing ratios and breath retentions as well.
I've recently started Breathing Exercises to aid in my Spiritual Health, and I was looking for an app that would have the majority of the Breathing Techniques to get me started. I downloaded this app along with another to see which one I would be using the most. Turns out , I'm mainly using the Breathe app because I discovered how to add other breathing techniques, and I really like how I can lengthen/shorten the duration and change the Colors. This is an amazing free breathing app to have.
This is a very simple, easy to use app to help you breathe thru stress or to relax or go to sleep. I love it! I find the female voice very calming (sounds like it's computer generated, but doesn't matter) and her "well done" after the session...I love how she says it. Reminds me of the river spirit in Spirited Away which is my all time favorite movie.
Great customizations, calming colors and sounds! I especially like being able to set a timer on cycles, edit the background noise, and change the timer to a bell instead of a voice. The only thing I don't like is that the app comes with a limited range of breathing patterns. You can add your own but they will look different from the preset ones. It would be nice to expand the preset breathing options.
Great app! But the one key request that I would make is to allow each customized exercise to choose a specific nature sound. For example, I made one for mornings and I always wanted to be bird sounds. But then I also want my bedtime to always be rain. But because the nature sounds option is universal, it means I unfortunately always have to change it in the settings first each time.
I can do these breathing exercises independently, but it's nice having something tangible to look at and keep count with. Especially since mental counts differ from seconds. All in all it makes one more likely ro meditate than just doing on your own. Also not every meditation needs to be sophisticated like some other apps. Both kinds have their usage.
This is my secret weapon to a stressful work day. I have a reminder set every 30 mins, that has me take four (box) breaths, totaling one minute per session. This really has helped break up my work day and reminds me to breathe deeply which resets my mind and body. I highly recommend this app, I've truly been loving it!
This app is life changing! I can't even express how relaxing it is to be able to focus solely on my breath without having to count or set timers! It's super convenient. I actually have begun to do breathwork not just every day but often twice a day. (Morning and night). Before, it felt like a chore, but with this app, it has turned into something "I want to do" vs. "Something I have to do. Truly a wonderful self care gift you can give yourself!
There was a time where I couldn't talk to anyone because I had no data nor money for the service plan. On a flip phone, I downloaded a breathing app beforehand and it was a great help. When I had data and wifi, I started to search for other breathing apps like the one I used and I found this one. I like that it is easy to use and you can make your own breathing exercise and change the color(I recommend 5.5 in and 5.5 out). This was so, SO helpful. I've something to recommend my siblings~
Outstanding app. I love it. My favorite feature is that I can customize the duration of the inhale, exhale and pause etc.. it is very useful for me. I am not subscribed yet so I can't say about that part. But all the rest is awesome. Thank you for creating such a great app that is easy to use and "NO ADS" You guys rock deserve more than 5 stars.
Helpfull! Easy and works well for the most part, (I can't get the last part of it to work but that might be operator error...how long you can hold your breath or breath capacity or something.)other than that, for a free app, I have no complaints...I've found it to be accessible and very helpfull.
I've been using this app on and off for almost 3 years now, and I love it. No annoying ads or pop-ups, just a beautiful minimalist app that actually does what it says. I like the pre-programmed breathing sessions - box breathing in particular is very helpful - but mostly I love that you can set custom routines. I have fast one minute sessions pre-set for when I need a quick break, but also have a longer 5.5 breaths per second routine that I find really calming. Thank you for making this!
I generally am lazy to write reviews, but this app deserves it. I had, till now been timing manually as to how long I take to exhale, inhale and hold in between, and this app gets me just that and allow me to customize the duration too, which is great. I liked how you are helping individuals and tried to support with whatever I could donate. 🙏
It's great but I wish there was an option to turn off the little graphic that pops up with "well done" at the end of a session. When using my phone's dark mode at night, that little peaceful cartoon person popping up exactly in the spot I've been focusing is eye-searing in brightness. It hurts a bit, when I suffer migraines.
I cannot say enough how much I love this app and how much it has helped me work on deep breathing to reduce my anxiety. There are different exercises and you can set when you would like to be reminded to do them. For the 1st time I am easily practicing deep breathing every 2 hours. I love the progress chart showing me how much I've been practicing. I shared this on Facebook and plan to share it with my therapist as well so she can recommend it to other people. I am so happy I found this!
