I like this level. Does what it is supposed to do, no more, and seems accurate. One thing I'd like... 1. On the bubble level view, make the numeric status (degrees, percent, etc.) large and the bubble scale small. I'm using the numeric for my current project, but the numbers are very small and hard to read in the small box. I looked around for a setting to adjust, but didn't find one.
works well for the first use, then it gives you the "option" to buy the ad free version. the pop up doesn't let you decline (even though the option is stated). when you hit the decline button, nothing happens and the pop up stays, making the app unusable. edit: they updated the app to fix this issue! I can now say that the app is simple and just what I need.
Does what it should & does it well, but pretty basic. I was going to buy it but was quite surprised to see that they actually think people will buy a *subscription* for this sort of thing ($3/mo, $6/year), and $10 if you don't want a recurring payment, which is excessive for something this simple. So I tried out a few others, and found one that blows this one out of the sky and only charges $2. If people do actually pay those prices for this, I can't argue with that, but I'll be uninstalling it
Works well, especially when you shut off the audio. Just found it killing my battery, even though I haven't used it in days and have restarted my phone several times since last use. Bought the pro version so I don't have to deal with ads, now it's obviously up to something in the background. Highest battery use of all my apps, including the ones I'm actually using.
Used it on rare occasion for years. I don't mind a little banner ad in an otherwise free app, but when I pop it open while holding something I need to make sure is level, and I have to go through incredibly excessive and intrusive ad settings, which doesn't accept you turning them all off- hard nope. Found another free level app with a little banner ad that got the job done just fine, and uninstalled this one. Way to make a great tool utterly worthless.
Extremely Accurate . I had just moved into a new house and had no idea where my tools were. I was setting up a 125 gallon fish tank and had to make sure that the tank was level. Bubble Level saved the day. Also helped when I was hanging curtain rods. I highly recommend if you do not have or cant find your tool box and level. Just download the app and BOOM, instant Level!
I have had this app on my phone(s) for several years. I didn't use it that often but has been useful in a pinch. I just used it again after some time and a couple updates. Had to wade through a bunch of garbage and some permissions before I could use the app again. Why would something so simple need access to my location? It's a bubble level not GPS maping software. To top it all off there is now audio included! Like I need a bell to ring when I have something level. Should have kept it simple.
Used this app for years. It had no bloat and was perfect when I needed a level. Opened it today and now it's asking to collect tons of usage and advertising information, and then trying to serve me ads or make me pay to remove them. A tool as simple as this does not require ads. It takes no development costs to make a level application that uses the inbuilt gyroscope. Completely greedy, uninstalled.
Had this app forever, always worked great. Now it needed to allow targeted ads, which fine, whatever. But when I go to accept it the window just pops up again no matter how many times I press the "accept targeted ads". The ability to pay for the app, forever, works perfectly. Uninstalled, too bad.
I've used this app since probably 2010 or 2011. It used to be a simple app that was open source, but now it's closed source and they need permission for my data. Not only that, they push out constant updates with no information on why they're updating? What updates do you need? It's a bubble level app! Sounds like they've gone to the dark side and I'm not comfortable keeping this app on my phone. End of an era...
After opening, it shows two options to continue with targeted advertising or pay to get rid of ads, but every time I click on first option, it doesn't allow me to use the app. You cannot get out of that screen. Someone here said it got updated and fixed. No it did not. It forces you to pay no matter what you click. At least the cost is decent and not as crazy as many other apps out there that do the same thing. But why offer targeted ads when you don't allow people to use it anyway...
I've spent 5 minutes turning off tracking and cookie collection and at the end you have an option "allow targeted advertising" or f off. that program is a joke, if you value your privacy do not install
Ads ads ads. It could be a decent app if it was not so aggressive with the permissions and adverts. Not just the fact that you get 2 or 3 per measurement but they will not cancel ... you are forced to click through. I would pay for ad free but no one off purchase - it's a monthly subscription. This will cost you like £36 for a year. Pure greed and not worth it. As the cherry on the top. They ask you to rate the app. Select 5 stars and you go to Google play.... anything less and it's just them.
so happy. i only had to pay maybe no more than $10 or $14. I can't completely fully remember, but it's forever. One time. Most of the other ones is way more expensive, like a $100.
Simple bubble level that does what it says. Only issue is the ad placement. Should be less obtrusive and not intentionally placed in a way that you're bound to fat finger the ad, while trying to use the app. I'd rather have a pop up on a countdown timer every couple of minutes. That way at least I'll know ahead of time when I'm about to be part of the smallest scale shakedown in history. The paid version is great tho.
0 stars if I could. Far too many ads choices, cookies and permissions for a simple spirit level app
It works very well 😌 the bell that rings one time when the balance is perfect is a nice feature.
Was once great, I used this a lot. But can no longer use without signing over all my personal data! I would happily buy ad-free outright for £3, but £3 per month for a spirit level is highway robbery!!! There are other levels out there for free so I'm uninstalling this one. Thanks, was good while it lasted!
have to scroll through multiple pages to unconsent to selling my personal information and watch multiple ads to use a bubble level! what a time to be alive!
Outstanding! People with apps like these are generally type A and obsessive, and I fit the bill. It opens up to the tool I need and reconfigures itself as I angle the phone, and the results come in more quickly and seem to be more precise than others I've tried. I used to literally carry around an actual bubble level, not just in the field but in the office too. No shame. This is a tremendous help and extremely well executed!
