BuzzFeed - Quizzes & News

Pretty good app. It's so good at guessing sometimes it's kind of creepy. Other times it is completely wrong. Quizzes are fun. It also gives you news. But one time I think I tried making an account and then I never did and now it messed me up completely making an account and now I can't remake one. Not any ads at all except for the tiny image ones that you see when you scroll down. Other than that no ads. Recommend to anyone who likes seeing news or taking quizzes. Super easy-to-use .☺️

Used to really like to scroll through this app to waste time, and now that's all its really good for. I like looking at what's trending for food recipes, and sometimes Amazon lists but those are just wastes of money. Besides, what's the point of looking through for recipes and such when I can't bookmark things anymore???? It says it's bookmarked, but once I leave the page I can't view the bookmarks anymore, even if I log in. It's garbage.

There's an advertisement somewhere on the BuzzFeed app that keeps saying, "Ready, set!" But I don't even see this ad. The voice keeps popping up as I use the app, whether I'm scrolling on the homescreen or reading an article. It's really annoying, and gives you quite a scare since you never know when it's going to happen. It makes me not want to use it anymore.

1/31/19: finally uninstalled after not using the app for several weeks. Could care less about the hardhitting journalism or politics slant. I'm tired of all the "listicles" that are just ads for things to buy. That's not real content, guys. Links are broken, pictures don't show up and formatting is off on some quizzes for me. Used to use this app a lot, not so much anymore because everything is a flipping ad!

After some recent update I lost all my bookmarked articles, which is big for me because I really liked being able to casually scroll knowing i had a little stockpile to go back to later. Now I can't bookmark anything and that's not even an option on the website. I know other people are talking about the comments not loading, I'm also experiencing this. If I try to share articles from the app to myself via my notepad app it says "unable to open unknown host" probably gonna delete the app 👎

Tried from different emails, providers and devices to sign up. Verification link always leads to error page. If you contact support, they either ignore you or act extremely snippily. Sorry, but the app sucks, and so does Buzzfeed. It's a quiz app, lmao. If you can't get something as simple as that to work, you should be out of business.

I enjoy it, but it constantly force closes in the middle of reading. Multiple times every time I use the app. Hopefully it can be fixed with an update at some point.

Love the quizzes! Even if my memory sometimes falters (as I'm no longer a "Spring chicken), those strolls down Memory Lane are still quite enjoyable. Thanks!

I enjoy reading the different articles on this app. The only downside, this app drains my phone battery like it's going out of style.

The app works great except for quizzes: it always tells me I've failed, even when I'm sure I got 100%. It also doesn't tell me my score, just the words that come alongside the result. Also, sometimes when there is a picture that goes with the question, the words of the question go on top of it - not so useful when you need to see the picture! Small things but it would be great if these could be fixed!

used to be good, now mostly lists of the same products recommending us yo buy so they get a cut. losds of ads, and lists in stupid quiz format that means you have to go back to main page and click on the article again to chose other options to see the rest of the article. obviously just to drive more traffic to the pages and more clicks. JUST MAKE IT A LIST!! Sort it out BuzzFeed or everyone is going to start uninstalling.

this app sucks constantly freezing and just shuts off constantly on its own and yet they do nothing to fix it it's ridiculous and the constant recycling of articles with different titles is embarrassing just overall one of the worst apps out

Articles don't fully load. Comments section rarely visible. Quizzes won't accept answers or show results. I uninstalled, installed, & now have deleted this app.

I originally downloaded BuzzFeed for some light-hearted content, something to do while on the bus to work. But now with some of the content, some of the quizzes are not fact checked before publishing. There's some typos that could have been avoided by proof reading before publishing. It's getting harder to have an opinion on the content which is why I avoid the comments section altogether. Would be great if it went back to light-hearted fun. It's easy to navigate though.

App crashes every time you open an article with a click to reveal picture. Really frustrating. Also annoying: that you cannot delete comments, that you cannot reply to comments, that you cannot search articles you have commented on. Its massively disappointing for such a big site. How about using all your mobey from affiliated posts to employ someone to make a decent app?

Difficult to see most of quiz results while in dark mode, doesn't let me like comments unless I write one, often very very slow to load pages, even when pages finally show up it doesn't load all the way, also there's no way to customize and edit my profile or anything. This app has potential to be a lot better but honestly? You're better off using the desktop version unless you have time to kill while using this app :(

Completely one-sided politically and only showing opinions and news from the radical left. Dangerous rhetoric included in much of the articles as well.

It's like 9/10 articles are just long lists of things you should buy. There nothing interesting to read because every article is "56 items you should buy" "99 items under $30 that will change your life" the rest of the articles are all recycled, they even have the same title with slightly different content and everything is just a copy of reddit. They have gotten so lazy.

For some reason, the app can't make up its mind whether I am signed in or out. I have noticed that I can get on the app 5 times a day and 2 out of those 5 times, I'm not signed in (even though I never signed out). I would wait a couple of hours biding my time with work/etc, go back into the app, and miraculously my account would appear to never logged out at all. It's strange.

THIS APP WILL EAT YOUR MOBILE DATA. There have been 2 occasions now where Buzzfeed had used over 2GB of mobile data in one day (when I haven't used it, even with background data restricted). I've contacted the technical team and they were 'looking into it' and admitted it was a glitch on there side but never did anything about it leaving me to purchase extra data to cover their app development error.
