Call Recorder - Cube ACR

Although this app in the 3 day trial period I have used it in has worked far better than I would expect any recording phone application would, I am giving it 4 stars due to there being no option to truly purchase the app. That means you can only "rent" it, and you are stuck with payments forever. If there was an option to purchase this app for a reasonable price (e.g. $10-20), I would. For the devs, you could easily continue making money on the app by more and more continous downloads, for one.

Update: Android 16 No FAQs, no instructions. Uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing works. Have not been able to record other side of calls for quite some time. I've changed settings, and done everything I can think of for months but I still can't record the other side of the conversation. Not really worth paying for if it doesn't work. 6/27/24 This app has been perfect. It works like it's supposed to and is easy to use. Best one I've found! Thank you!

I downloaded this app along with the Cube Helper app from Samsung. It allows me to record EVERY SINGLE INCOMING AND OUTGOING CALL without the other party knowing! Since I'm in a state where only one party (myself) must be aware of the recording, this is absolutely fabulous!!! I tried it and could not believe the clarity! My first call was 2 hours on speaker and it recorded both sides of the conversation perfectly and very little of my Samsung's battery was used. Highly recommended!!!

The app only records the users side of the phone call. The other side is not recorded. I had high hopes for this app as it was listed as the #1 call recording app in the tech site I visit. I guess it only works with certain phones. It doesn't work with the LG Phoenix for sure. I tried every call record setting and none of them recorded both sides of the call. I almost bought the premium version. I'm glad I didn't.... ☹️

Overall it's extremely effective & easy to use! You can access your saved recordings and transfer them via USB connection to your computer. The only issues I encountered was that when you use a wireless headset or headphones it doesn't capture the other person's side, only yours. I missed an extremely important call I thought I had because I didn't realize this limitation.

5/23 Unreliable. Shuts off randomly. Even turns off during calls so recordings are missed for a duration of call. Do not recommend if you absolutely need it for your safety, well-being or job. Unfortunately I have not come across much better from reading reviews. 1/25 the person with the app has such low volume on playback it's about useless. I really hope this company does better. The app is always up to date and there's nothing wrong with either of my phones. all systems amd apps up to date.

Works the best out of all the other options extremely happy and satisfied with this app. Only down fall is the subscription for some things that would be extremely nice and it's a little to high in price in my personal opinion. But other than that best app and experience so far. UPDATE: can't hear both ends anymore and the prices are too much to pay for not worth it.

unreliable. I wanted an app to record calls that would allow for evidence. extremely disappointing that when I took a call and had a whole confession of something said on that phone call, you could only hear me speaking and not the other person at all. it was if I was doing some monologue play. unlikely that I'll ever get evidence like that again. i could hear the person perfectly while we were on the call. but this app didn't catch. I'm gutted that I trusted this app. COMPLETELY unreliable.

Most of the phone calls, whether incoming or outgoing, only records my voice and not the voice of the other person. Of the 6 recordings since I downloaded the app, only 1 call recorded both sides. the remaining 5 only recorded my voice. Very disappointing for a call recorder app that mostly records only my end!!! I also have the Cube Helper App installed. If there is a legitimate reason why the app doesn't record the other person's voice, please let me know.

The app is constantly freezing and crashing. I will log in to use the manual recording feature and all it does is fail to load and failed to work. I honestly feel like I wasted my money with this. Even more, what is recorded automatically won't play unless I send it to a different device which completely defeats the purpose of recording a damn call.

I just got the app. Paid for a subscription because I hate ads. I placed a phone call to myself. I counted to ten. I played the recording and the first number I heard was six. The volume was extremely low, but I was able to correct that. If support can tell me how to fix the delay in recording, I'll change my review to give stars

Update: years later and I still absolutely LOVE this APP!! Worth the $10 a year. My advice: Sometimes there are issues uploading to Google Drive, so have a back up set in place (I upload to Dropbox aside from Google Drive). =) *If you download this app and it's not working, don't assume it's not compatible with your phone. Customer service or their website can explain simple changes you may have to make to your "accessibility" settings to enable recording on both ends.

update: works well enough on phone after phone. requires helper which isn't always easy with work profiles. premium isn't worth it since there's only subscription model and no lifetime. Took a while to figure out which source is correct. Make sure your phone recording audio source is set to ‘voice call (software)’ (Android 6-9) or 'voice recognition (software)' (Android 10-11)

Outstanding. It records both sides of the conversation in crystal clarity. It automatically records every call unless you disable it. If it was a long conversation you can start the playback at any point. I'll never bother experimenting with any other call recorder app. I just have the free version. Update: now it is only recording my side of the conversation

Very bad app! Unreliable and buggy. It will not fully record your call. Customer support can only email you with huge delays, giving you stupid troubleshooting options that don't help. At the very start of the app it was great. Now it's a nightmare and a headache. I'm now missing very important calls. Don't waste your money or time and do not rely on this app to help you record your calls. worst idea ever.

Overall, a great app! I love the automatic recording feature option, and the popup that easily reminds me to manually record instead. I specifically only use the app a few times a year, so I feel like the annual subscription price is a little high for my usage. It would be great if they offered a "low usage", cheaper subscription option (around $10/year or so) with the same features, but less storage, with an ability to upgrade and pay the difference in cost later if the usage goes up!

This app has been very useful for me. I like that it can record every call or just certain contacts. For me, personally, it has good audio quality. I'm giving it 4 stars because it does not record the other caller when paired to a Bluetooth earpiece, Bluetooth device, regular ear buds or headset. It would get 5 stars if it could. I use my Samsung Buds2 Pro alot, so I can't use them for certain calls if I need the whole call recorded. Also there is an issue with the promotions not working.

I love being able to automatically record all of my phone calls. I have a horrible memory and medical conditions that give me "brain fog" which leads to a lot of difficulty when important information is discussed verbally. Now, through this app, I don't have to worry because I can listen to important conversations later on if there was something I forgot. This has truly been a game changer for me!

After using another app that that stopped being functional once my phone was updated to Android 16 I gave this one a try. I'm very happy that it works and I've had no problems after settings it up. Outgoing and incoming calls all get recorded; both myself and the other party. Recorded calls are clear on both ends. As long as you follow the instructions to get everything set up properly, you shouldn't have an issue.

seamless app that does the trick every time now that helper has been resolved. update. For whatever reason, the app has been "selectively" not recording all calls. I've noticed this recently when recalling a specific, very important call recording, finding it no where. I submitted an email ticket through the app and will follow up here with the results.
