Call Recorder

Used to be great. Sometime around middle of 2019 it quit working. Existing saved recordings say they are corrupted and won't play. No names come up on called ID, just "unknown" caller. And to bust my back, it seems to be recording but you can't hear anything from either end of the call. Useless app now. I have tried many changes that didn't help.

Very good App, it is also free, when I make or receive a call the speaker turns on automatically and when I play it back I can hear myself and the other side clearly, but now I love it even more after the update, the speaker doesn't turn on automatically and I can play the call back and hear my voice and the other side clearly, there is 2 problems started April 2019, 1. caller ID isn't working all calls show unknown. 2. still record calls from the ignore list, fix it please

I love this app, The recorded voices are super clear from yourself as well as the caller. You can also set up an ignore list for people you don't want to record, but it doesn't always work correctly. Only thing that would make this phone app better is if it came with a button that pops up when a call is coming in that you press and it won't record that caller.

My mother and I had a deeply meaningful coaching call using this app...a few weeks later, she passed away. I tried to pull up the call, so I could listen to her voice again and the app said all my recordings were "deleted or damaged". My app settings have all my recordings stored externally, yet the recordings are nowhere to be found. Tragically disappointing...if anyone knows how to or if I can recover these recordings, I would really appreciate it.

App is awesome. I deal with electronics and computer networks so I like to experiment with all sorts of technology. I have a cheap phone and have installed and uninstalled all kinds of technical apps. Even then, I Have used it for over a year without any problems. If your settings are set accordingly to your phone, it will function w/o a problem. Any fixes that have been made to the App have only improved it. It's also very easy to use. No problems with "Ads" either. Great job!! Love it.

They still haven't responded and dont respond for tech support. Quality is good you don't have to pay extra to use some of the add-ons that they offer. It doesnt list the phone# or contact which it recorded. You have to surf all the recordings to find the one u want to keep before deleting them. You can email the recording or share it with somebody which is very useful. Overall this is a good app. Support Sucks! Im looking for a differant app.

It records both parties sometimes. And when it does, the person on the other end you can barely hear. It's extremely low volume but you can hear yourself perfectly fine. Other times only your voice is being recorded you can't hear the other person at all. I noticed at times it would record the other person only if it's on speaker phone but yet their voice is still very low. The moment u take it off speaker the call stops being recorded on the other end but it still records your voice.

Give 5 stars up from 4 because it hasn't missed a call. The recorded volume is odd where it switches between either me or party I'm talking to us real quiet, but by opening in an audio editor i can increase the volume if absolutely necessary. Very, very stable otherwise. Oh and important to me, it is not intrusive with permissions (which is a deal killer for most apps) . Thank you! Great app!

It worked! Just tried 3 other high rated apps ... first one didn't record other side of conversation ... second one didn't record anything ... third one, in the fine print, said it would automatically delete your call files after a while unless u marked them as important (I ain't got time for that!). This one ... I did a short test ... recorded both sides of the conversation ... haven't tried anything else yet.

I am so happy that I found this app! I installed and struggled with, then uninstalled several before finding this one and it has made my life so much easier esp when on the go. I have many calls that I have to keep records of and now I don't have to panic trying to find or get to my notebook in a hurry!!! I have only had a couple of calls not properly record since installation, luckily only 2 were important. Thanks for helping make my life a bit easier!!!

This app is great for recording calls with clear audio on either side. The interface is easy to navigate with little to no experience with apps like this it. I rated Call Recorder a three because the caller ID feature is not available. This makes it difficult to keep proper records and or recall whom the conversation took place with. Also, thre is no option to name the call yourself for future reference since it is not done automatically through the app with the number associated with the call.

Messes up other connections. It makes my phone go on and out of connection with my bluetooth to my car. When I'm on my phone and I get another call, and I click over to answer and click back over. The call will automatically go to speaker phone, not cool when you're in public. Overall the recording was good but it doesnt let you see who the calls are from the list on the app.

Recent version deleted all my previous recordings without warning. Others have experienced the same thing. Awful. Update: I discovered that the missing files were still sitting in the /database/files folder, so if you know how to navigate your filesystem you should still be able to see any lost recordings. I transfered the entire folder to another device. For whatever reason it seems the current version of the app doesn't see the older files. I likely will be uninstalling this app.

This is an update from my original review that I posted with 5 stars back in 2018! Im still running ver 1.4.89, and don't plan to upgrade, over the years I've had diff apps that worked fine till I upgraded, and I love this one too much to take the chance, hehe!! I csn listen to a call with my doctor or something legal, again, word for word. AT&T deletes my voicemail after a time, so saving them on my phone is important, like my dad's calls, he's 83!! THE best app, none of the others ever worked.

One of the better apps out there. But only because the others I've tried ALSO suffer the same dang problem this one has... VERY POOR "OTHER PARTY" VOLUME. Turning on the speaker DOESN'T help increase volume of other party. At least however, this one works very well in all other respects. Also, I leave this app running all the time... and it has VERY LITTLE battery drain. 😊👍

I got app to work on my new 23S galaxy. Yaaa! I had to make volume adj. And turn on and off in accessibility. Best recorder app ever. My call recorder stopped working 9.10.23. I am very upset. I have had you for years. I even got another Android phone so I could use your app. How can I get it to work. It was working at first 2 months ago then it stopped. It is running on my phone but does not record calls. Help

This USED to be the best app for recording calls. I stumbled across this app when a bill company would lie about my charges, so I got this so I could remember the conversation. This was a few phones ago. Every phone I get, I make sure to have this app. Lately... on newer phones, you can only hear one side of the call!!! The other side is either very faint or the whole call is loud and full of static. Also I used to save my most important calls for as long as I needed, NOW....calls over 30

It does record both sides of the phone call, but only through the phone speaker. Started the call through bluetooth but as soon as the call connected, it switched to the phones mic and speaker. Phone calls are no longer hands free or private. As an over the road truck driver, all calls must be hands free. Holding a phone up to your face to record your voice is unacceptable.

I'm giving this 5 stars because it was an excellet app before Google got rid of the call recording APIs, which most recording apps use. I had to switch to Boldbeast, which is an Accessibility app. I have a sporatic memory because of my disability so recording calls is necessary for me when my memory fails (call recording is legal where I live). Any recording app that uses the call recorder APIs has been disabled in Android 9 and above. I'm going to miss this app. It was hassle free.

First, It doesn't recognize all contacts on my phone, so, theres no name on their call - It does a good job with the contacts it does recognize, but, I've also deleted some important information because an incoming caller's name re- placed original name on call when I answered (in case it was emergency /important caller). So, now I have to review every call I save to be sure it is the correct name on the correct conversation; its wasted time.
