I've been using the app for about 2 months and I love it so far! I dreaded the idea of calorie counting before but I find that I don't mind it at all thanks to the convenient features Cronometer has like barcode scanning, and the ability to copy meals from previous days. I've lost 5 lbs so far just being more aware of portion sizes! I would probably invest in Gold for the recipe import feature if there was a choice to buy it for life for a reasonable price. But I'm not a fan of subscriptions.

Very frustrated with the new ads system. I've been using this app for over a year and loved it. Suddenly I'm getting ads every time I open the app. The ads are loud, disruptive and so frustrating, makes me want to throw my phone. I am considering finding another app. I notice that several people are commenting about this and the responses claim it's a bug that they figured out, yet I'm still getting the ads... :(

Great app, horrible ads that render the app useless for 15-30 seconds before you can exit and go back to what you wanted to do averaging about every other time one goes to log something. I wouldn't mind a pop up ad every time if it didn't hijack the app for up to half a minute. If it weren't for that, I'd say it's just a few steps from perfect. Because of the ads, I'll probably move on. To reply: No other app allows ads to take over like yours. Pay for normalcy? No thanks!

Update: I use the app every single day and I never plan to switch! Thank you for adding the day of the week to the date on the diary as well! I've been looking for something that would be an upgraded experience to what I find missing in Samsung Health for food tracking. This nails almost every aspect! (Only had a few days so far.) It will be a great fitness companion and make meal tracking souch easier! So excited to have found this! Thank you!

I LOVE THIS APP! I use it to track what food my toddler eats to make sure he is getting all his vitamins and such. I love that I can create recipes, scan food and even save items to a favorites list. I just wish that I could somehow have multiple profiles. I'd love to do this for myself and add future children (just when they're little). I love this app so much, I'd even pay to have that feature.

Update: Ad quantity is reasonable, and the ads mostly seem to be muted again (or I'm getting less obnoxious ads :) - either way it's more feasible to use now! I haven't found out if foods still disappear from the favorites list if the database they came from deletes it (if so, it would be handy in Cronometer still showed the starred food, but indicated that it had been deleted on the third-party database).

The features that don't require a subscription seems more robust than Myfitnesspal. Can customize how many macros your want to aim for. The only fault, and major enough that I'm using another meal tracking app, is the directory of food you can log is limited. It's missing many different cuisines (Thai, Korean, polish, etc) , restaurants and established franchises (Chipotle). I have to spend time deconstructing meals and inputting it to log somewhat correctly

The ads are too much, this app was great before they started this obnoxious and unrelenting ad placement. I've used it for a year or so and I never saw any ads. I get it you have to turn some sort of profit and if you can't get enough subs then you have to do ads. Do you really need a full screen interruption of what I'm doing literally every 3 min?!?! This needs to be fixed you give the impression your trying to annoy your users into a paid sub which is a sure fire way to lose users.

I really enjoy this app and go back and forth with a paid account. I think the one feature I wish it had was, when searching for a food in the database, it should list any previously logged food that matches the search at the top of the list. The fact that you basically can't search your own log history is kind of a hassle.

I am really loving this app. I really like the idea of the new AI feature. I think it would be great though if you could add items you have on hand from your fridge and pantry then you can ask the AI to generate suggestions from that. Also, the AI gives ingredients but not directions. Most of the time it looks like the suggestions are pretty easy to figure out but not always. It would be great if you could see a recipe.

This is the best calorie counting app I’ve found so far. I downloaded five different apps to see which one suits me best, and this one clearly stands out. Accuracy is the most important factor for me, and this app lets me log the exact weight of what I eat. Other apps require choosing preset portions, which forces me to do extra math. I also haven’t experienced the excessive ads that some users have mentioned, therefore I assumed they fixed the issue. Highly recommended.

The first week is really misleading--ads get a LOT worse after. I like the big plus button at the bottom center and that it syncs with Samsung Health. it's a little frustrating that I can't fix incorrect nutrition myself, but they seem to be responsive when changes are requested so 🤷 I don't love how items appear in the search but I'm dealing with it.

I thought it'd be a good app judging by the score but I guess standards have just got pretty low for apps. The basic functionality is fine, presentation could use a little work, but all the interesting features are of course locked behind a subscription. Problem is they charge a stupid amount for it and it's subscription only so it'd be a never ending fire of money. when did twenty dollars monthly become the default? this does not offer that kind of value, that's closer to a one time cost.

So well designed! So easy to use and I feel confident in the numbers and nutritional data, 98 percent of the time-- which is a lot more than other apps I've tried. I just need to figure out how to see the ingredients and amounts, AFTER I've added things to a recipe, so I can duplicate it next time without guessing or forgetting what I did the time before. I'm using it with the Lumen app, and I can make target templates and apply the right one to the current day. I'm very happy with this app!

Switched from My Fitness Pal. Cronometer is a far better app. I suggest subscribing to the Gold for ad free for a seamless experience. Price is right and the upgraded options are fast and very user friendly. One glitch when subscribing signing up through Google Play Store may cause an error message to cancel your subscription as GPS requests you open the app to confirm subscription, even after you've already done so. GPS ended up canceling my subscription, but I immediately re-subscribed.

I purchased the paid version and it wasn't worth it. The food suggestions were the same recipes every time. When searching for specific nutrients it gave the most off the wall suggestions and nothing useful. The ads are so intrusive on the free version that they pop up while you are adding something to trick you into clicking them. They also freeze the screen. I used to like this but it gets increasingly useless

This will show you ads every time you open the app to log food. Logged something 15 minutes ago, doesn't matter, shows ad. it didn't used to be like this. The annoying part is it waits until you are half way through logging the food and the ad just pops up over anything you're doing. That's on top of the ads that are always displayed in the app and all the nagging to upgrade to gold. None of the premium features are worth the price to me, I wouldn't use most of them if they were free.

Inaccurate data. It seems anybody can add/change data to the database. They have no idea how it affects other people. Whoever wrote this app should enter the data and lock it so others can't change it. Correct me if I'm wrong. If your sodium is showing sky high don't be concerned. It's the database. Too many targets are missing. I can't set it for a calorie target. I have to play around with protein and carb numbers to get the calorie number.

I love the add your own recipe section in this app. You enter the ingredients, and it calculates the weight of everything so that you don't have to figure it out. (You can add cooked weight later if you want, also.) Then, later, all you have to do is put your food on your plate on the scale and measure the weight of your food, and it automatically calculates the macros for you for that serving. ❤️ You can now make that casserole or meatloaf without stressing!

It's pretty good. I especially like the barcode scanner because it works in Canada. I really wish it displayed calories and nutrient breakdown by meal not just the entire day, but it's not a deal breaker. (Edit: thank you for such a quick response and advice. It's now displaying calories by meal. Excellent product and support!) I've been using a different app for 15 years and only recently moved on to Cronometer so it takes time to adjust.
