This is the best app Ive found for calorie counting, and food logging. Ive used other paid and free apps but nothing compares. There is an extensive list of foods with the option to add new items. You can adjust your macros and calorie goals easily. No intrusive ads and I use the free app. They do offer premium services though. There is a whole community to support you if you like. I really like that you can put in your own recipes and it will calculate nutritional values by portion size.
Excellent app! So easy to use and the free version has everything I need to track my eating habits and lose weight. It has a great library of foods, it's so easy to add new foods, you can create meals and save them for easy logging and track individual nutrition like fiber, protein and fats. and the graphs are very simple but effective in illustrating your eating as well as your weight loss. And no distracting full screen ads!! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!
Great just wish it had a bit more. I use the free version and it allows me to do so much more than other apps. I have used this app on and off for around 6 years now or so if that says anything. I just wish they would add a way to set a zigzag diet as your goal (have your kcal goal for the day be different throughout the week) Overall would recommend, have lost just under 40lbs as of this review.
Love this app! It's so easy to use. With the free version, you can track your weight progress and your meals. I switched from my last app because you had to pay to scan barcodes. You also had to pay to search for restaurant foods. When this app allows you to do it for free. This app makes it so easy to stay on target.
It's fine, I guess? The number of features you get free is pretty good, though some of the choices for which are free/paid are weird. I don't like the set-up for adding custom recipes, which is pretty important to me personally because I meal-prep when I can. I'm not a huge fan of the UI but I guess it's serviceable enough.
I enjoy this app. It allows me to input my meals that I make at home, ingredient by ingredient and save it for future use. I can also input/add to the list of options if what I ate isn't in the app. Helps me set a goal weight and decide which calorie intake I would like to use and shows me the expected date I'd reach said goal. I use the free version and it has so many features I didn't expect to be able to use.
I have been using this app for 8 years. It's easy to use, allows you to easily add and delete data, set a specific amount of calories based on my preferences. Customize what information is displayed. Really like the calorie blocks that let you know when you've reached your calorie allotment for the day. My weight history goes all the way back to 2018 which is nice to have.y. I just wish the calorie information would flow to my fitbit app. so I'm not having to enter it twice.
Fat secret is an easy way to track calories and keep track of exercise and nutrition. It also tracks the macros that you eat and helps you balance your food. The badges earned for weighing in and tracking food are nice rewards to show how far you have come. The app doesn't feel judgy and doesn't send annoying reminders all day. Noom became insufferable and the recent update took away exercise tracking.
I've used this app for years from everything from fasting to now tracking my food while I'm using wegovy. I like that it tracks my weight and my food so I get an idea of what kind of balance I have on my nutrition as well as my daily calorie intake so I know what days I've gone over my goal and what caused it. I also like the fact that it doesn't badge me about upgrading. if I want to upgrade and get those features. it's available with just a simple click of a button,
This has to be the best of ever calorie counter/planner I have ever used, trust me tried many only to be frustrated and underwhelmed. Its so user friendly plus a great supportive group. There are recipes, photos and many keep their journals open so you can read success stories and struggles and what they eat. One great point for any issue you can contact them and omg they reply. Of course their is a slight learning curve. overall 5+stars☆☆☆☆☆☆+
A rarity amongst apps. Most health apps are charging subscriptions, while this one does have the option, you can still get all of the benefits you need. FOR ONCE ITS HEALTH ABOVE PROFITS! It integrates with Google fit very easily. Set up was easy without the heavy bragging of some of the other paid for apps. I recommend this for people who can't afford to do subscriptions and want to self improve. I recommend this to those who want to pay for the enhanced services because this app is wonderful
So far, so good. Came from another app that became user unfriendly. Been using for past six months and have reduced my weight by 20 lbs. Thanks for this tool. My only suggestion at this time would be to consider adding a confirmation prompt when backing out of a menu where you've been adding items. It's too easy to accidentally back all the way out and lose all that you've entered when you only meant to delete one thing. This also applies when accidentally swiping across the screen.
Forced to use the app's calculations and can't adjust your own. For some reason, the app thinks I should only have 1500 calories a day to maintain weight. I currently have ~2200 a day and I'm _losing_ weight. If I only had 1500, I'd be a skeleton. But the app won't let you adjust the count yourself, you just have this accept what they set for you. What rotten garbage.
By far the best app I've found yet for tracking calories. However there is a annoying lack of control and management of the data. The user only has limited options to delete or edit entries and when they do there seems to be some residual data left behind that skews other stats and charts. Basically, if you never have to delete or edit anything, everything works perfect. If you do then you will notice anomalies and other odd things. Still useable but truly takes the user experience down a few.
great tool for tracking meal stats. I would like for it to have a setting to allow you to pick which display is default on the daily or weekly stats (calories, macros, nutrients). I would like to have macros for the current day always shown by default. currently, it defaults to weekly calories after every food entry.
I have just started using this app and have found it to be the kind of app I've been searching for. I would happily change the review to 5 stats if there was one change. I would love to have more control with the portion sizes. It seems to only show the serving size on the package. Have the option to be able to have the different options to choose cup, slice, pieces, tsp or tbsp, etc. and not having to do the math, would make this the perfect app for me.
Works great! I read somewhere that it's the best app to use in terms of the free side, and I think I agree. Tracking weight, workouts, calories, and percentage of macro intake have been super helpful in weight loss. Only problems are with some UI trouble. Deleting a saved meal is difficult or impossible, I haven't figured out how to do it. Clicking on things accidentally happens, as it can be finicky. Overall great experience!
I've been using this app for the past 6 years, and it has always been great. But I just updated the app today, and with the addition of the new "streaks" header on top that you can't hide, it's apparently lost all of my food diary history outside of the past 6 months! I used to be able to go back to any year/month/day on the calendar to see my calories consumed, but apparently all of that data now shows up as no calories cataloged for any day I click on. If it ain't broke, don't fix it 🤷🏻♂️
I have the paid version. It's nice but not much different than the free. Always scan your food. I have found many inaccurate information. I make my own when They don't match up. I wish they would add a veggies tracker like the water tracker. I forget to eat my veggies still. I am dropping weight very well by doing that. Better than other apps I have used.
The food data base is quite extensive. it covers most things I eat and it is easy to add new items. I like how easy it is to track my food and exercise. I don't use the other tools. The product is free, but I would pay an annual subscription for it. Fast forward to 2024... I used this app for a whole year (2015-16) and it helped me lose 50 lbs just by tracking me daily intake. I could see my caloric count. I logged everything quite diligently. When I got my target, I stopped using it.
