I am crazy impressed with the value of the free version. Planning to get the annual subscription after my subscription to a more expensive program ends shortly. The food looks up and calorie tracking is fantastic. I dare say better than the program I've (just) cancelled and others I've tried before. My goal isn't hitting my 'goal' weight but really understanding my eating habits and nutritional analysis. (Planning to upgrade to paid when my cancelled subscription runs out)
Hands down, the best nutrition tracking app I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot! Even with the free version, it has all the main macros available to track, unlimited meal and ingredient tracking, and a simple, easy to use layout that's also visually appealing. This app has helped me lose over 80 pounds! Can't recommend it enough. The only feature I really wish it had was to transfer all meals to a different day, rather than going item by item, meal by meal.
A little scattered and confusing at first until you get used to it. I can't log custom foods properly because they never show up in the recent list or search results. When I do log the custom food there is no way to set a serving size so it adds the entire recipe which is multiple servings. I can't edit the serving size of foods I already logged. Other than that, the app is great.
been using this app on and off for a few years. i feel like it has more options and better accessibility than other calorie counting apps, and the free barcode scanning is a huge plus. don't bother using the ai meal scan, though, as i've found it to be very inaccurate. other than that, i always recommend this app for all its features and display options
I was reluctant to purchase the app but was so impressed by it after the first week that I did. It's well thought out and easy to use. We make most food at home so when I've used similar diaries it's been time consuming to enter foods that have lots of ingredients. Mynetdiary is quick to enter foods bc of the variety of ways - manual, barcodes, custom foods, favorites, & the AI meal scan. Latter is pretty good, even comes close to est quantities. Sync to other apps sometimes glitches briefly.
SO, so, so MUCH better than My Fitness Pal! You can log your foods by scanning the bar code, and the scanner in the app is super sensitive- works like a dream. Bought the premium version at 50% off. You can add your activities manually if you choose (I prefer manually). Shows you every detail of food consumption you need. You can disable food grades too! Has every minute detail of food nutrition, calories, macro, micro. So glad I decided to try this app. BEST app ever❣️I can achieve my goals!
I've been using the free version for a week now and it's hands down the best FREE app for helping you keep on track. Not only does it provide you with counting calories, carbs and fat but they give advice to help along the way. Track your water and exercise as well. If I could afford the paid version I would. I'd love to be able to see the detailed information of all the vitamins and minerals I intake and have access to all the amazing features the free version don't have. Dont change a thing!
UI was fine. Concept was there. Would not recommend for people trying to GAIN weight. The app severely overestimates the amount of calories in some foods; immediately could tell after like a day. Personally, I'm not going to tough it out and see if it evens out or something along those lines. I opted for a different app.
I just started using the MyNetDiary app and I love it! My previous food tracking app starting charging for basic features like the barcode scanner, so I needed something new to track my food. MyNetDiary is such a great app- it makes it easy to track food/weight/progress, it has helpful reminders, and the features like the barcode scanner and stored list of foods makes it very fast to log meals. I am so happy I found this app to help me on my weight loss journey!
this is the best food tracking, calorie counting, weight loss app I've ever used. There's so much you can adjust and critique your nutrition intake.Paid option you can pick life style meals from vegetarian to keto. You can add ingredients and make it a meal for easier adding later. the barcode scanning works great. and you can add items by taking a picture of the nutrition labels. exercise can be taken off your cal intake or not. I wish I could link my Amazfit Band 5. Manually adding steps 😮💨
The app is good, but frequent bugs make a frustrating experience at times (free version). Sharing recipes between my wife and I is cumbersome; if we use any method other than text, the recipe doesn't upload to our individual accounts. Another concern is that when tryingnto log meals, sometimes the app refuses to log it properly. I just packed my lunch for the day, and I am trying upload the recipe for lunch. The app refuses to log it as lunch, and instead is putting it as breakfast.
There are ads on the paid version. I get frequent full-screen ads to buy the lifetime version and to "tell your friends". No matter how many times I've said 'no' they keep coming back. They're about as frequent as the"upgrade" nag windows from when I was on the free version. Stop it. I paid to get away from the ads, but they're _still there_, just different ads, now. If you have to have these ads in the PAID version (hint: _don't_), give us a "never ask again" checkbox.
very disappointed that I subscribed. some functions (like customize food) don't work and the help is impossible to find. want to put in a fast food item and remove the bun, but that does not work. so I have to scale the food to meet the reality. 0.4 sandwich is about the right carbs and calories so I have to use that instead of just removing the bun which would be accurate. then I get a little note about how being accurate is important kind of ironic.
Where did all my data go?! I opened the app to log breakfast and all my info is gone as if I'd just installed it. 3 weeks of tracking for the doctor, I could cry UPDATE: Great customer service! I had to reply here and in my email within minutes. I opened the app for the 18th time, to get a screenshot for them, and everything was working again I don't know if it self-corrected or if they fixed it in the meantime. I am very grateful to have it all back. I really appreciate the quick response
Ive been using this app for a little over 2 years (Free version). It helps me track my daily calories. I was able to lose 30ish pounds just by tracking and light exercize (I have a desk job). Ive since regained everything, due to depression, new medications, and other factors. But the app is still helpful. There's a lot of additional features that I don't use (recipies based on different diets, exercize tracking, water intake tracker, an AI coach, community things... etc.)
the most recent update takes this app down a major peg. the nutrients tracking feature has been pay-walled. It had the bare essentials available for everyone by default. carbs, net carbs, fats, protein, sugars, etc. very useful. I am diabetic. so as someone that watches their food closely for health reasons, to no longer be able to keep up with these basic metrics makes this once very healthful free app, just like the rest. time to find another tracking app and hope for less pay-walled basics.
I very much like this app. I know weight loss is a different experience for everyone, but for me, my main problem was not knowing how much I ate and how many calories I took in. the app allows you to track how many calories you have, and it also takes note of your steps, water to intake, and exercise. because of this app, I was able to lose about 45 lbs in less than a year!
Faultless app before AI, paid for premium, but actually prefer the free version. App is now very difficult to navigate and clunky. I'm sure things move about all the time, one day I can find something easily, the next day I look in the same place and it's not there? Think if it was scaled back and AI removed would be 5* Probably won't renew my premium subscription unfortunately. Still a decent app. Dropped my 3* rating to a 1*, now being asked to buy a lifetime sub every 5mins!!!
The app has been great until now. I've been using it for several months (6) and then it stopped working. I couldn't log in, my account wasn't recognized. So I contacted Support. They immediately assumed I had an iphone and needed to update the ios; I have an Android. Long story short: It's been 2 days and multiple emails and I have a new account with no data and 6 months more on my subscription.
LOVE this app, EXCEPT there is a bug in it. when you try to do meal planning, it continues closing the app every single time, while adding things to the menus. It's so frustrating!! Otherwise the app is loaded with features, well designed and can be connected to my Samsung Smart watch and health app, which is a huge plus! I paid a promotional discounted rate for the subscription, otherwise I wouldn't have purchased because it is an expensive app if you pay full price for it.
