App no longer works, keep getting and error stating "something went wrong" when trying to log in. I proceeded to contact the number they provided below. After 15 minutes on hold and talking with a very confused agent she decided that the problem is that they are updating the website. Would it not be easier just to mention this on the app?
There are issues on many parts of this app. Often It forgets what is in your basket and then there are issues with your location and finding stock at local stores...then there are often issues checking out, where the page opens an android error screen. It's random. Some days you can check out, sometimes it doesn't work again for a week. Very frustrating. I go to other online stores/options or am forced to drive 30 minutes to my closest store, only to find that the stock numbers are wrong.
Even though the option to "remember me" is set when logging in, the app cannot stay logged in for more than a day. Even though fingerprint login is set, I still need to get an SMS code to log in. Every time I go to the store I am standing there like an idiot in front of the cashier waiting for an SMS code so I can log in to scan my card. Please fix this, I am not the only one having this problem.
Cant sign in. Stupid process of picking things out of pictures and then wont sign in and starts all over with new pictures. Never seen anything like it before!!!! Anoying!!! Just open a browser and use the website, it is slightly better. Adding a couple stars cuz it's getting better. Still has some navigation issues.
This is honestly one of the best and least frivolous shopping apps I've ever used. I love how easy it is to check stock at my preferred store before I even leave the house. Being able to add my vehicles so it shows me the parts that fit my specific model is great. And I always use the app while I'm in store to find the correct aisle, and use the flashing light on tags to pinpoint things. Other retailers, take a lesson. This is how you improve both the online and in-store shopping experience.
Automotive parts and tire lookup is poor, especially considering they have tire right in their name. App forces you to add your vehicle info before it will show prices and if it's in stock, which would be fine if it actually knew what the correct parts were. Doesn't give the correct tire size options for factory installed tires nevermind if someone actually changed to aftermarket sizes. Even though you know what size you need it won't let you look because it has decided that your wrong.
It does occasionally have performance issues, like not wanting to load or taking a long time. I do find that the search feature is fairly weak, I often have to search things out on Google and then click it through to the app. It also periodically drops my account off of the app (which I then have to reload it). but otherwise, I find it to be a pretty useful app. I like the wishlist feature, because it notifies me if something goes on sale, and I do like the integration of Triangle.
App works as a search tool and is fairly accurate for inventory of stock. However, it is impossible to use for online shopping as it always glitches when signing in. On multiple occasions, I've signed in with my username and password, waited for a code to be emailed to me, entered the code only to see a pylon appear and that "something went wrong", "please try again" or "call this number". Something needs to be done to fix this as I'm certain it is affecting CT's online business
Surprisingly Good, considering the Triangle app is horrible. I can find everything I need with this one app. The app knows when you're in the store and you can select "Find My Product", then go to the aisle and you'll see a green blinking light on the Price tag. So much easier to find something. I usually have pretty good customer service at my store, which is rare.
always signs me out. always requires a code to be sent to my email. app says "the experience is better in the app" (doesn't seem to know I'm using an app). finger print or face sign in toggles are on but never asks me to sign in this way. it's mostly bad because at the cash when they ask if I collect points I have to go through alm these steps. I miss having canadian tire cash. it was more efficient.
Surprising good! Normally these shopping portal apps from larger retailers are lack luster but CT's isn't bad. More importantly it doesn't, like its competition prevent me from using it because of an android version security error. It's stable (but if a bit slow, like the website) and it just doesn't do anything silly. The information is easy to find and view. Performance on the back end could be improved but it's stable, as I said, and more than serviceable.
everything works very well, really helps find products. One edit: It's super annoying when you enter a vehicle in My Garage, it defaults to that and you can't search for different items. I have been trying to look up parts and it's really frustrating. Very poorly designed interface.
the app is great but for some reason every single time they do an update it won't let me back into my account until I create a new password 8 million times until one magically works. other than that the app is fantastic, you can activate your Canadian tire money and coupons in no time at all and keep up with the latest flyers.
This app is pure trash. Always tells me my login attempt is wrong, so I'll reset the password and after using the password reset link sent to my email, I can login into the website using the verification code they send me.. Then when I try to login until this app, it accepts my login credential and sends me a verification code to my email and after entering that that it tells me, "Oops, something went wrong". Yeah. That something is this garbage app.
Excellent in theory: very responsive, and most of the time stock estimates are very accurate. My biggest complaint is that the Triangle Rewards info doesn't seem to stick in the profile. Seems like something that ought to be easy. Somewhat frustrating. Still like buying from a Canadian company, and retail options are more limited all the time. Hopefully someone from the company reads these reviews...
It's been days and I can't sign in or reset my password. I just get an error message "something went wrong." I go to reset my password and the link in the email just takes me to the home page of the app. This seems to happen often. No point in going to the store when I can't even scan my triangle id. Canadian Tire needs to hire some proper app developers. Edit: I just told you the issue. Fix the app.
I'm actually a big fan of this app. If you're logged in, you can see you recent purchases, wishlist, etc. the sort on the wish list has been broken for a long time. it defaults to on sale, but it doesn't work. there's items that are on sale in the middle of my list and not at the top
I have not been able to add anything to my cart for awhile month or more now. It says Looks like we are dealing with an issue, please try again later, but the issue hasn't been resolved. Any thoughts or has anyone else had a similar issue? 2025-12-26 - I ended up having to log out and back in, then it seemed to fix the cart issue. Nothing had changed so not sure what went wrong to require this.
The app is always stuck on offline. I can't log in and my card was blocked yet again from Canadian Tire. Feels like they are just lonely and want someone to call. I can't change my store and none of the features are working properly. Please just delete your app and start over again. Also your website's are doing the same things. Just not a pleasure anymore. edit: fixed the issue and get this. it happened again. I am blocked from signing in unless I call them once again.
The app thinks it's offline if it's not connected to wifi.... I download and install it... Try to log in... Then it says "oops... Your offline"... No I'm not, the app is broken 25/02/2026... app is broken again. love it when it works but it crashes as soon as it logs me in... tried reinstalling but stays broken
